Si 첨가 고탄소강의 인장 성질에 미치는 패턴팅 조건의 영향 (The Effect of Patenting Conditions on the Tensile Property of High Carbon Steels added with Si)

  • Isothermal transformation behavior during patenting and variations of microstructure and tensile strength of patented wires were investigated in Si-added high carbon steel. The TTT curves of the steels were made for two different austenitizing temperature. As the salt bath temperature was increased, the observed microstructures were bainite at $450^{\circ}C$, the mixture of bainite and pearlite at $500^{\circ}C$, and to pearlite at $600^{\circ}C$, The tensile strength of patented wire exhibited the highest value when the structure was pearlite. while the bainitic structure showed the lowest.

가열로 내부에서 발생하는 고탄소강 주편의 판파단 원인 분석 (Fracture Analysis of High Carbon Steel Slabs in a Furnace)

  • In general, the cause of slab cracking during heat treatment has been analyzed with focus on processing conditions. However, in the present work, the cause of cracking is analyzed based on the microstructural evolution during heat treatment. The microstructural analysis indicates that the structure of the slab consists of three main regions as the top, quarter, and center parts. The tensile properties are investigated in each region of the slab in the temperature range from 25 to 350 ℃. Results demonstrate that the cracking is mainly attributed to the thermal stress and specific morphology of the microstructure. It is proposed that the cracking during the heat treatment is related to the presence of inclusion at the ferrite phase which is located at the boundary of pearlite grains.

  • This paper presents a study on defects in pearlite lamella structure of high carbon steel by means of finite-element method(FEM) simulation. High-carbon pearlite steel wire is characterized by its nano-sized microstructure feature of alternation ferrite and cementite. The likely fatigue crack is located on interface of the lamella structure where the maximum amplitude of the longitudinal shear stress and transverse shear stress was calculated during cyclic loading. The FEM is proposed for maximum shear stress from loading of lamella structure, and a method is predicted to analyze the likely fatigue crack generation. It is possible to obtain the important basic data which can be guaranteed in the ductility of high carbon steel wire by using FEM simulation.

  • This study has been carried out to investigate the microstructure of austempered high carbon cast steel with the variation of silicon and heat treatment conditions. The results show that an lower ausferritic structure is formed at the low austemepring temperature ($250{\sim}300^{\circ}C$) and an upper ausferritic structure is formed at the high austemepring temperature ($350{\sim}400^{\circ}C$). As an austempering temperature increased, the retained austenite volume fraction increased, however hardness decreased. Also, as a silicon content increased, the precipitation of cementite was suppressed, therefore 2nd reaction of autempering transformation was delayed.

  • In this study, the die design and die series on the surface residual stress of cold drawn eutectoid steel wire has been investigated. Test pieces were fabricated using die series with different mean and final reduction ratio. Surface residual stresses in the axial direction were measured by X-ray diffraction, Broker's 2-dimensional GADDS system. Results were compared with stress profiles which were calculated by 3D and 2D finite element simulation, Hibbitt's ABAQUS 6.4 program in Finite Element Analysis. By means of FEA method, optimal die shape considering delta-parameter were induced and applied in order to determine die sequence designs. Balance of the drawing stresses was also introduced to optimize die sequence.

  • 승용차용 소재로 사용되는 철강재료의 구성비율은 국가별, 차종별로 큰 차이를 나타내기 때문에 일률적으로 표현하기는 곤란하다. 일본의 경우 열연강판, 냉연강판, 내식성 확보를 위해 냉연강판의 표면에 여러가지 종류의 도금을 한 표면처리강판등의 보통강판이 약 76%를 차지하고 있으며 나머지는 고탄소강, 고합금강, 스테인리스강, 스프링강, 베어링강 등의 특수강재와 주철이 차지하고 있다. 본 해설에서는 승용차 차체용 소재의 대부분을 차지하는 냉연강판을 중심으로 냉연강판의 제조공정, 연진 냉연강판을 중심으로 냉연강판의 제조공정, 연질 냉연강판의 개발현황과 개발방향, 인장강도 35kgf/$min^{2}$이상의 냉연강판을 의미하는 고장력 냉연강판의 개발현황과 개발방향을 소개한후 현재 세계철강협회(IISI) 주관으로 범세계적으로 추진중인 초경량 자동차 차체(ULSAB, Ultra Light Steel Auto Body)제조를 위한 프로젝트의 진행과정 설명을 통해 경량재료에 대한 철강업체의 대응전략을 소개하고자 한다.

  • 코스트 저감과 연비 향상을 위한 부품 중 반복 하중과 내열성 부품의 적용이 증대하고 있다. 기존의 자동차 부품에서는 펄라이트가 석출되기 때문에 고탄소 철계 부품에 팩크로마이징 공정을 이용한 크롬탄화물을 형성하면서 탄화수소계 가스를 투입하므로서 기존의 불활성 분위기를 깨고 비평형상태로 분위기를 유지함으로 높은 경도의 $(Cr,Fe)_{23}C_6$$(Cr,Fe)_7C_3$ 복합 탄화물의 형성과 이에 의한 마찰계수 변화를 관찰하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 질소와 이산화탄소를 완충기체로 사용하는 경우의 혼합가스에 대해 가스절연설비 내부의 이물질에 의한 절연파괴특성을 모의하기 위한 침-평판 전극구조에서의 침전극 재질을 연철, 고탄소강, 스테인레스강 등으로 구성한 경우 혼합가스의 절연파괴 특성에서 나타나는 전극 재질에 의한 영향을 실험적으로 검토해 보았다. 실험 결과 연철제 전극과 고탄소강제 전극의경우에는 혼합가스의 절연파괴특성에서 유사한 N-특성이 나타남을 확인할 수 있었으나 스테인레스 강제 전극의 경우에는 다소 상이한 양상이 나타났다. $SF_6$계 혼합가스의 경우에는 순 $SF_6$의 경우와 동일하게 코로나 안정화작용에 의한 N-특성이 발현됨이 일반적인 특성으로 알려져 있으나 본 실험 결과에 의하면 침전극 재질에 따라 다소 상이한 양상이 나타날 수 있음을 관측하였다.
