Queueing Network Model for Large-scale Multimedia -On-Demand Service Systems with Unreliable Components (결함 발생을 고려한 대규모 주문형 멀티미디어 서비스 시스템의 큐잉 네트워크 모델)

  • 멀티미디어 서비스환경에서는 수백에서 수천의 클라이언트들이 하나의 서버에 접속되기 때문에 서버 결합이 미치는 영향이 상당히 크다. 이러한 결함은 단지 서버 자체의 장애로 끝나는 것이 아니라 그로 인해 서비스 제공자들에게 유형.무형의 막대한 재산상의 피해를 가져올수 있다. 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 서버를 구성하고 있는 자원(프로세서, 디스크, 네트워크)의 결함 발생을 고려한 큐잉 네트워크 모델을 개발하였다. 복수개의 M/M/1 큐를 큐잉 네트워크로 연결하여, 각 자원에 대한 접근 및 서비스를 모델링하였으며, 각 자원에서의 서비스 시간 지연 비율(큐의 응답시간)의 조정을 통해서, 서버 자원의 결함 발생을 고려하였다. 고객 도착률과 자원 고장률 변동에 대한 서버 자원의 이용률과 큐의 길이를 구하여 효율적인 시스템 구성 자원의 부분별 용량을 산정하였으며 , 또한 데이터 패킷 응답 시간 분포 및 고장률 변화에 따른 시스템의 신뢰도 수준을 계산하였다. 이와 같은 서비스 시스템 성능에 관련된 파라미터 분석을 통하여 멀티미디어 데이터 서비스 수준 (Quality of Service)에 중요한 영향을 미치는 서버 설계 요소를 파악하였고, 시뮬레이터 패키지를 활용한 모의 실험을 통하여 개발된 큐잉 네트워크 모델의 정확성을 검증하였다.

  • Due to rapid development of mobile device technologies, the mobile banking through Internet has become a major service of banking information systems as a security-critical information systems. Recently, lots of mobile banking information systems which handle personal and transaction information have been exposed to security threats in vulnerable security control and management processes, mainly software systems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a process model for software security improvements in mobile banking information system by application of fault tree analysis(FTA) and failure modes and effects analysis(FMEA) on the most important activities such as 'user authentication' and 'access control' and 'virus detection and control' processes which security control and management of mobile banking information systems are very weak.

  • The role of maintenance in railway is going to be extended to improve the reliability of railway system in the aspect of Asset management gradually. In this paper, the meaning of reliability and safety in RCM which has been applied in order to improve the efficiency of maintenance is deduced. And the analysis task of reliability and safely which has been recommended in railway standards such as EN50126 and IEC62278 is reviewed in the aspect of RCM. Finally, the several ways are proposed to apply RCM to railway system through the comparison between the RCM procedure and the analysis procedure for the reliability and safety in railway standards. Hereafter, if the analysis of reliability and safety is performed with the concept of RCM in the beginning of railway business, it will be more efficient to improve the reliability and manage the railway asset.

  • In this paper, the factors of 1680 marine casualties occurred during 1986-1988 are analysed by the Principal Component Analysis. The main results are as follows: 1. Most of marine casualties result from the human factors such as careless operation and insufficient engine maintenance. Engine trouble is main part of accidents and great number of accidents is rated for fishing vessels. 2. Accidents are serious in case of cargo ships, passenger ships and tankers from the point of view of the damage of human life and properties. On the other hand, those are not so serious matter in case of fissing vessels and governmental vessels. 3. Grounding, collision and capsizal mainly result from careless operation, however material defect result in flooding

  • 최근에 콘덴서 뱅크에서 자주 일어나는 고장의 유형은 콘덴서의 내부절연파괴, 리액터의 소손이 주를 이루고 있다. 그중에서 콘덴서 셀의 절연파괴가 수대에서 십 수대까지 동시에 발생하기도 한다. 이러한 현상의 대부분은 차단기의 투입 시 서지전압과 전류에 의해 서서히 진행 혹은 갑작스런 고장으로 진행되고 있다. 이중에서 저항기의 절연열화가 진행되면 차단기 투입 시 순간적인 절연파괴를 일으켜 급준파의 전류를 더 급준하게 만들면서 콘덴서나 리액터의 열화를 더욱 더 가중시키며 순간적으로 저항기의 역할을 못하게 되어 안정상태를 더욱 해치는 역할을 수행하게 된다. 이 논문에서는 콘덴서 뱅크와 중성점 저항기의 특성을 분석하고 중성점 저항기의 절연성능을 보강하여 전, 후의 서지전류 특성을 비교함으로써 실제 계통에서 중성점 저항기의 절연열화가 콘덴서 뱅크에 미치는 영향에 대해서 알아보고자 한다.

  • 한국전력공사에서는 2015년 4월말 기준 808개의 변전소를 운전 중에 있다. 변압기 용량으로 보면 299,734MVA에 달하고 있으며, 매년 증가하는 전력수요에 맞추어 신규 변전소 건설과 더불어 변전설비가 계속하여 확충되고 있다. 또한, 계절별 및 시간대별 부하변동에 따른 변전소 모선의 전압변동에 대응하기 위하여 Sh.C(Shunt Condenser), Sh.R(Shunt Reactor), SVC(Static Var Compensator) 등 다양한 무효전력보상 및 조절 설비들이 지속적으로 설치되고 있다. 이들 무효전력보상 설비들은 주로 변전소 모선에 전용 차단기를 통하여 연결되어 운전되고 있으며, 전용 차단기는 매일 시간대별 부하변동에 대응하여 개폐빈도가 많은 다빈도 차단기로서 잦은 개폐조작에 따른 내구성이 필요하며 변전소 모선전압을 기준전압 범위 이내로 안정적으로 유지하기 위한 신뢰성이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 345kV Sh.R 개폐용 동일유형의 345kV 50kA 1점절 다빈도 차단기에서 차단조작시 발생한 차단부 절연파괴 고장의 원인을 분석하고 재발방지를 위한 대책에 대하여 논하였다.

  • Aircraft diagnostic systems identify system failures and nip aircraft accidents in the bud by removing hazards that hinder Safety Of Flight (SOF). The necessity for diagnostic systems is increasing as aircraft manufacturing technology is modernized. Many countries have conducted studies and developed diagnostic systems. However, studies about diagnostic systems are very few in Korea. This study defines the scope of aircraft diagnostics systems and closely considers methods to ensure the Safety Of Flight (SOF) for military aircraft.

  • In this paper, analyzes the type of failure and its effect on the hydrogen fueling nozzle used in hydrogen station. Failure of hydrogen fueling nozzle was analyzed using a qualitative risk assessment method, failure mode and effect analysis. The failure data of hydrogen fueling nozzles installed in domestic hydrogen stations are collected, and the failure types are classified, checked the main components causing the failure. Criticality analysis was derived based on frequency and severity depending on the failure mode performed. A quality function is developed by a performance test evaluation item of the hydrogen fueling nozzle, and the priority order of design characteristics is selected. Through the analysis results, the elements to improve the main components for enhancing the quality and maintenance of the hydrogen fueling nozzle were confirmed.

  • Wiring defect is a major concern for safe aircraft operations. However, troubleshooting process of a wiring defect is very difficult due to extensive and complex wiring system and installed location. Recently, time domain reflectometer (TDR) equipment that enables effective defected wiring troubleshooting has been introduced. Unfortunately, TDRs have not practically adopted by most of airlines' maintenance departments because the effectiveness and usefulness of TDRs have not been verified. This study was conducted to verify if TDRs can identify the location and type of defected aircraft wiring, and whether they can be applied for troubleshooting purposes. Experimental plan was established by using various wires and connections applied to actual aircraft and the observed results were compared with the TDR operation guide. The usability of the TDR in actual aircraft wiring defect detection may be acceptable as the experimental results showed similar results to the TDR operation guide.

  • Recently as the power system has been becoming massive and complicated, most of the faults bring on severe proliferation effects. Because of the complexity of the power system it is not easy to analyze faults-the calculation of current flows under fault conditions. Therefore many researches have been performed in this area. As a result of those efforts, the protective equipments for a power system have been designed to operate properly and without damage when the highest possible fault current is flowing in the power system. Most of the fault data can be also acquired from intelligent protection equipments. The fault data saved in them don't always include the fault type information. n you don't have knowledge about the fault analysis, it becomes useless. So this paper presents 3 topics to increase a reusability of them as followings. First, describes a fault data using the XML(extensible Markup Language). It would be a well-formed and valid document complied with suggested XML DTD(Document Type Definition). In this paper I suggest a standard DTD to describe the power system fault. If the XML document describes any power system faults is validated against suggested DTD, it is possible to be used in any applications. Second, sends them through the web using the XML web service. Last, presents the rapid and accurate algorithm for a fault type determination of the fault data received from the web. In the ultimate the client to request the server to analyze a fault data is provided the correct information what kind of fault is occurred.
