The Effects of Environmental Change of Employment on Job Insecurity and Career Commitment Perception among Cooks in Deluxe Hotels (특급 호텔의 고용환경 변화 요인이 조리사의 직무 불안정성과 경력 몰입 인식에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of the changed employment environment in full-time cooks at deluxe hotels on job insecurity and career commitment. Based on total 389 hotel cooks obtained from an empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of a research model and verified total 2 hypotheses with the Amos program. The hypothesized relationships of the model were tested using a structural equation model(SEM). The SEM results show that layoff(${\beta}$=0.326), an organization structure(${\beta}$=0.237), irregular workers(${\beta}$=0.200) among changed employment environment have a significantly positive effect on job insecurity. Also, job insecurity has a significantly positive effect on career commitment. Accordingly, the changed employment environment in workers at deluxe hotels causes job insecurity, making them try harder to stay in an organization. Therefore, motivation is needed for employees' career commitment because the better job insecurity is managed, the more career commitment they have.

  • This study has the purpose to research on the actual conditions of discriminative treatment between regular and irregular work and find what kind of environment factors can effect on the job-satisfaction, organizational commitments. Especially, this study has addressed to improvement of conditions for irregular work and researched the difference factors between regular and irregular workers's job-satisfaction, organizational commitment, and employment - environmental. For the data collection, a total of 400 questionnaires were distributed for survey, 195 responses were available for statistical analysis. This questionnaires were sent to the distribution companies that has a variety type of employment as regular and irregular worker in Seoul province by e-mail and direct way. And SPSS 12.0(ver.) was used to analyze the data. The main results were as the following; First, the human relationship and the normative commitment were statistically different between regular and irregular work in the part of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, income were important to improve the satisfaction of job environment and personnel policy and the normative commitment. Corporation welfare were important for the satisfaction of human relationship, job environment and personnel policy, normative commitment affective commitment and continuous commitment. Stability of employment were important to improve the satisfaction of human relationship and job environment, normative commitment and affective commitment.

  • 경제적 효율의 발전을 원칙으로 하는 종래의 틀을 넘어서서 환경공생형의 새로운 에너지 시스템의 개발에 대한 요구가 증대되어 지고 있다. 이러한 시대적 흐름에 부응하는 여러 가지 신재료의 개발에 관한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그 중에서 전기를 열로 열을 전기로 변환 시킬 수 있어서 폐열의 이용 및 전자냉각기술 등에 이용 가능한 열전변환재료가 커다란 기대를 모으고 있다. 열전재료는 사용온도 영역에 따라 여러 가지 재료가 개발되어 지고 있으며, 현재 상온부근 및 저온영역에서 응용 가능한 재료로써 Bi$_2$Te$_3$계 고용체에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 예를 들어, Bi$_2$Te$_3$ 고용체에서 Bi를 Sb으로 치환한 p-type의 (Bi,Sb)$_2$Te$_3$ 고용체와 Te을 Se으로 치환한 n-type의 Bi$_2$(Te,Se)$_3$ 고용체에 관한 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 최근 들어 Kutasov등은 종래에 P-type의 열전재료로써 높은 특성을 나타내는 것으로 알려진(Bi,Sb)$_2$Te$_3$ 고용체가 Sb의 치환량과 Te의 도핑량을 잘 조절하면 n-type의 높은 열전 특성을 나타낸다고 보고하였다. 본 연구에서는 과잉으로 첨가된 Te이 n-type (Bi,Sb)$_2$Te$_3$ 고용체에 미치는 영향을 보다 체계적으로 조사하기 위한 기초단계의 연구로써 Te을 0-0.9at.%로 과잉 첨가하여 제조한 고용체 및 소결체의 미세구조에 관하여 조사하였다.

  • The aim of this study is to evaluate Korea's employment policy for people with disabilities by utilizing situational feasibility evaluation of Fisher's multi-dimensional policy evaluation methods (1995, 2003). A number of related studies conducted so far have been focused only on quantitative research methods. In other words, balanced and comprehensive evaluation studies were insufficient. Therefore, this study attempted a balanced policy evaluation through a qualitative or phenomenological approach that complements the limitations of the existing empirical methodology. In this study, the sub-topics for evaluation were divided into employment delivery system, employment program, and institutional employment environment for people with disabilities. Improvement measures and policy implications for each topic were presented. In order to improve employment services and jobs for people with disabiliyies, it was suggested that there is a need to strengthen linkages and cooperation between institutions, eliminate blind spots in employment services, improve quality, expand customized employment services, strengthen programs, improve policy and institutional environments, and strengthen individual psychological and emotional support.

A Gender-Sensitive Analysis on the scale and causes of the blind spots in the employment insurance system (고용보험제도의 실질적 사각지대 규모와 원인에 대한 성별 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the blind spots of Korea's employment insurance system from a gender perspective. The data used for this study was derived from 12th (2009) and 20th (2017) years of the Korean Labor and Income Panel Studies. Logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the causes of the blind spot. As a result, the gender gap decreased by 5% in 2017 compared to that in 2009. In the coverage of employment insurance by gender, women are more likely to join when controlling for other demographic factors. If the conditions in the labor market are the same, then women's insurance coverage is likely to be higher than that of men. The policy suggestions are as follows. The current employment insurance system has a greater impact on the labor market characteristics than the difference in the participation rate according to gender itself. The results of this study show that bridging the gender gap in the labor market is an important way of bridging the gender gap in employment insurance coverage. In the short term, the social insurance subsidy program may be effective, but policy efforts are fundamentally needed to improve the employment environment of women and low-wage workers.

Effect of Disability Types by Disability Severity Levels on Employment: Based on the Employment Panel Survey for the Disabled (장애 중증도 수준에 따른 장애 유형이 고용에 미치는 영향: 장애인고용패널조사를 중심으로)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship with employment of the disabled considering the severity and the type of disability. Methods : Data from the 4th data of the 2nd wave Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) by Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities (KEAD) were used. The odds ratio of employment in disability types according to severity of disability was calculated by logistic regression analysis. Results : When the related variables were adjusted, the employment of internal disability type was significantly lower than that of external disability type by 0.413(95% CI:0.271-0.629) times in the group with severe disability. On the other hand, in the group with less severe disability, internal disability was 0.475(95% CI:0.327-0.690) times lower than that of external disability (p=<.001). Conclusions : Employment may vary depending on the type of disability, even if the disability severity level is the same. It is necessary to prepare judgment criteria that can reduce the variation in employment by considering both the type and severity of the disability.

Social Impact Assessment on National Development Projects in Korea (대형 국책사업에 대한 사회영향평가)

  • 새만금사업, 신행정수도(행정중심복합도시, 세종시), 한반도 대운하사업(4대강 살리기사업) 등과 같은 대형국책사업은 대통령 선거공약으로 제시되었다. 그러한 대형국책사업이 국가의 이익을 위해 꼭 필요한 것으로 제시되었다 하더라도, 그 결과는 좋은 의도와는 다르게 나타날 수도 있다. 대통령 선거후 환경정책기본법과 환경영향평가법에 따라 대형국책사업에 대한 사전환경성검토(전략환경평가)와 환경영향평가가 이뤄졌지만, 예상하지 못했던 정치적, 사회경제적, 환경적 갈등이 발생하였다. 이러한 개발 및 환경 갈등의 원인은 여러 측면에서 찾을 수 있겠지만, 사회경제적 항목을 중심으로 하는 사회영향평가의 미흡을 그 원인으로 제시하는 연구가 많다. 대규모 국책사업을 둘러싼 개발 및 환경 갈등을 해소하기 위해, 우리나라와 외국의 사회영향평가의 현황과 연구 동향을 고찰하고, 국책사업의 주요 쟁점의 분석을 통하여 사회영향평가의 중요성과 필요성을 강조하였다. 그리고 사회영향평가의 도입, 강화, 지침 마련에 대해 다음과 같이 제안하였다. 첫째, 현재의 사전환경성검토(전략환경평가)시에 사회적 통합, 경제적 측면(B/C분석, 비용, 고용 등), 법제적 측면, 한반도 통일이나 국가균형발전 등과 같은 사회경제적 항목을 평가항목에 추가함으로써 사회영향평가를 도입하고; 둘째, 환경영향평가 시에 공공시설, 교육, 교통, 문화재, 경제적 타당성, 고용, 토지이용을 현재의 사회경제평가항목에 추가시켜 사회영향평가를 보다 강화시키고; 셋째, 한국의 환경적, 정치적, 경제적, 사회적, 문화적 상황을 반영하여(사회영향평가의 원리와 지침(가칭))을 마련하도록 한다.

A comparison of social sustainability by domestic power generation types (국내 발전기술별 사회적 지속가능성 비교)

  • 지속가능발전은 인류가 추구해야할 공통의 목적이며 가치로서 사회적 지속가능성, 경제적 지속 가능성, 환경적 지속가능성의 개념이 내포되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 전력공급 부문에서 특히 사회적 지속가능성의 가치를 구현하기 위해서는 에너지 사용에 대한 형평성과 에너지를 생산하는 발전기술에 대한 사회적 수용성, 그리고 지속적으로 고용을 창출할 수 있는 발전기술들로 발전원을 구성되는 것이 필요하다고 보았다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 사회적 지속가능성을 '에너지복지', '기술의 수용성', '고용 창출'등 3가지 핵심 속성으로 나누고 속성 당 2개의 세부 속성 지표를 구성하여 총 6개의 속성지표 측면에서 발전기술별로 비교 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 사회적 지속가능성 종합점수는 원자력 > 풍력 > LNG > 석탄 > 태양광 순으로 나타나 원자력이 사회지속성 측면에서 가장 우수한 발전기술인 반면에 태양광은 가장 열위에 있는 것으로 평가되었다. 또한 속성별로 살펴보면, '에너지사용의 복지성'은 원자력과 석탄화력이, '에너지사용의 접근성'은 LNG와 석탄이, '기술의 안전성'은 원자력과 풍력이, '기술의 신뢰성'은 발전기술간 큰 차이가 없으며, '고용 규모'는 태양광과 원자력이, '고용의 질'은 풍력과 원자력이 우수한 것으로 나타나 원자력이 대부분의 속성에서 우위에 있거나 경쟁력이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Factors on the Economic Burden of Middle Age Householder Supporting the Family (중·장년기 가구주의 경제적 부양부담 영향요인)

  • This study examined the economic burden of middle age householders supporting their family. They could not prepare for their later life because they are supporting their parents and children in their unstable employment. This study examined how to decrease the burden of middle age householders. Using the Korea Welfare Panel Study, this study analyzed data by hierarchical regression. The result showed that age, gender, education, unemployed, ownership of the house, number of employees, monthly income, and family relationship satisfaction had an effect on the economic burden of support by middle age householders. Based on the result, the researchers offered political suggestions for decreasing the levels of economic burden of support by middle age householders.
