A Study on Compressive Strength of Centrally-Loaded Steel Columns at Elevated Temperatures (중심축 하중을 받는 고온상태 강재기둥의 압축강도에 관한 연구)

  • In order to evaluate compressive strength of centrally-loaded steel column at elevated temperature, new FE analysis techniques and assumptions of model were applied in this study. It also includes comparison with the existing studies, and a new design equation for centrally-loaded steel column at elevated temperature was proposed. The proposed equation was the most accurate of the three design equations(EC3, AISC, proposed equation) when comparing with the coefficient of determination on the simulated results and test results.

  • Superconducting Electrodynamic suspension(EDS) system is generated by the interaction between the magnetic field made by the induced the eddy current in the ground conductor and the moving magnetic field made by onboard superconducting magnet. The levitation force of EDS system, which is proportional to the strength of the moving magnetic field, becomes saturated according to the increase of the velocity. Especially, the levitation force is influenced by the structure of HTS magnet and ground magnet. This paper deals with the optimal design condition for the HTS levitation magnet. The 3-D numerical analysis with FEM was used to find the distribution of the magnetic field, the optimal coil structure, and the calculation of the levitation force.

Study on Design Technology of Heat Pump Cycle for High Temperature Performance (고온 생산용 열펌프 사이클 설계)

  • About 55% of total energy is consumed in the industrial division. The industrial heat pump application will show magnificent energy saving effect as well as higher cost efficiency because of larger energy consuming volume of each facility and longer operation hour and higher stability against seasonal temperature change. Over 90% of dryer for industrial usage has hot wind heat source and hot wind dryer is the representative type covering 68.7% while its 30 ~ 50% lower heat efficiency causes lots of energy loss by exhaust air. Re-usage of exhaust air can improve energy efficiency of dryer because 68% heat energy or 78% of hot air lose in exhaust air. Therefore, high temperature heat pump dryer can be the best alternative. Comparing to the existing dryer with 30% ~ 50% energy efficiency, newly developing high temperature heat pump dryer will enhance energy efficiency up to 60% ~ 80% efficiency. In this paper, heat pump system for high temperature was designed, constructed and tested. The results have shown that system COPh is estimated as 3.3.

  • 일반적으로 초음파 유량계에서 초음파를 발생하고 수신하는 압전세라믹 진동자의 특성상 $200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 고온에서는 사용이 불가하여, 각종 화학공정, plant, 발전소 등에서는 사용에 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 $400^{\circ}C$ 이상의 유체 흐름을 측정할 수 있는 고온용 초음파 유량계를 설계하고 그 특성을 평가하였다. 우선 고온의 유체에서 압전진동자부로의 열전달이 최소화되도록 트랜스듀서 구조를 도출하고 그 타당성을 유한요소해석을 통하여 검증하였다. 해석을 위해 상용 해석프로그램인 ANSYS를 이용하여 열전달 해석을 실시하였으며, 최종 선정 모델을 제작, 평가하였다.

  • In this study, high temperature design and creep-fatigue damage evaluation of a decay heat exchanger (DHX) in the decay heat removal systems of a sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR) have been performed. Detail design and 3D finite element analysis have been conducted for the DHXs to be installed in active and passive decay heat removal systems in Korean Generation IV SFR, and the DHX installed in the STELLA-1(Sodium integral effect test loop for safety simulation and assessment) at KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). Evaluations of creep-fatigue damage based on full 3D finite element analyses were conducted for the two Mod.9Cr-1Mo steel heat exchangers according to the elevated temperature design codes of ASME Section III Subsection NH and RCC-MR code. Code comparisons were made based on the creep-fatigue damage evaluation and issues on conservatisms of the design codes were discussed.

$SiC_f/SiC$ 복합체의 제조 및 응용

  • [ $SiC_f/SiC$ ] 복합체는 고온에서 우수한 특성을 지니므로 고온 구조용 재료로 적용 가능성이 증대되고 있다. 우수한 SiC 섬유의 개발과 함께 복합체를 제조하는 공정의 기술적인 진보도 이루어졌지만 경제성 측면에서는 아직도 일반산업에 널리 이용되기에는 제약이 있다. 그러나 효율성과 안정성을 증진시키기 위하여 시스템의 운전조건이 고온의 극한환경까지도 고려되는 현 상황에서 $SiC_f/SiC$ 복합체의 중요성은 증대되고 있다. 향후 경제성이 향상된 공정개발, 고온 물성 및 성능 자료의 확보, 시스템 및 재료 설계를 위한 코드와 모델 개발 등이 진행되면, 가까운 미래에 에너지 산업, 항공 우주산업 등을 시작으로 그 적용 영역이 확대될 수 있으리라 기대된다.

  • In this paper, the heat pump system was designed using heat absorption of the refrigerant or condensation heat. The cooperation system has been developed to pass a heat source of low temperature to a high temperature or to pass the heat source of high temperature to a low temperature. Heat pump for using the valve as a function of switching a condenser and an evaporator in a refrigerating cycle. As a result, heat pump system was developed by air source method. Therefore cooperating system for energy saving to solve at the same time as the cooling and heating by system of one was equipped.

  • A valve used in a high temperature and pressure condition for high-speed vehicle application was developed for fuel supply and cooling system. For weight reduction purpose, the size outline of valve was optimized based on its performance and operating environment. And the rigidity design was adopted by minimizing uses of sealing parts to prevent leakages. Also, A fluid analysis was performed to derive the optimized internal flow path design in consideration of minimized pressure drop. Finally, the valve performance was verified by installing the valve into the test equipment which enable to simulate endothermic fuel of high temperature in high-speed vehicle.

  • This study is the performance test of the vitiated air heater with high temperature and high pressure. The vitiated air heater to provide hot air about 2000 K was designed, and the performance test is carrying out. The designed vitiated air heater uses methane, oxygen, and mixing air by working gases, and uses mixing air for cooling of the bottom of a mixing head. By this reason, the vitiated ar heater has to be designed with heat-resistance from hot frame, and to be tested for its proof. In this paper the performance of he vitiated air heater is analyzed to some test results.

  • 이 논문에서는 고온초전도체로 제작된 위성통신용 고온초전도 3dB 커플러에 대하여 보고한다. 커플러 제작에 사용된 초전도체는 MgO 기판위에 증착된 YBCO 고온초전도 박막이었다. 중심 주파수는 408 MHz 대역폭은 위성통신 기지국용 전력 결합기가 안정적으로 동작하도록 15 MHz의 광대역을 설정하였다. 설계를 위해 기존의 분포정수로회로를 ABCD Matrix를 이용해서 집중정수 회로로 전환하였고, 컴퓨터 모의실험을 위해 em Sonnet 상업용 프로그램을 사용하였다. 컴퓨터 모의 실험시 초전도체의 저항은 0으로 하였고, 기타 유전손실은 없는 것으로 가정하였다. 측정결과 우수한 대역폭 특성을 보여주었지만, 대체적으로 12 MHz의 대역폭이 측정되었으며 이는 설계시 모멘트 법 적용에 따른 계산 셀의 정밀도에서 기인하는 것으로 보이며 좀더 세밀한 계산 셀을 사용할 경우, 정확한 계산이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.
