  • 본 기술개발의 목표는 기존의 Side Scan Sonar 시스템에서 적용된 초음파 수신 신호의 직접적인 모선으로의 전송과 달리 수중 견인체에서 초음파 수신 신호를 취득하여 전력선을 통한 고속 통신 전이중 방식을 통하여 모선의 신호처리 장치로 전송하는 고속 통신 모들의 성능 및 소형화이다.

  • In order to reduce the lead-time and cost, many useful methods have been applied to rapid prototyping (RP) in recent years. But cutting process is still considered as one of the effective RP methods that have been developed and currently available in the industry. It also offers practical advantages in aspects of precision and versatility. However, traditional 3-axis NC machining has some inherent limitations such as the restriction of tool accessibility and the complex setup. In this work, a new rapid prototyping system with high speed 5-axis machining of plastics has been developed to overcome those limitations. And cutting experiments were conducted to determine the design factors of the system and the cutting conditions of plastics. The architecture of developed system is described in detail and the successful application examples are presented.

  • 다양하게 변화하는 소비자의 요구에 만족하기 위해 제품 디자인의 빠른 변화가 요구되며 이에 따라 빠르게 3차원 형상을 구현하는 기술이 필요하게 되었다. 일반적으로 사용되는 적층 방식의 쾌속 조형기술은 고가의 재료비 및 운영비, 기능성 파트 제작의 어려움, 표면에 적층 무늬가 존재 등의 문제점이 존재한다. 그러나 기계 가공 방식의 경우 다양한 재료의 가공이 가능하고 높은 형상 정밀도가 유지되는 장점이 있다. 특히, 폼을 이용하여 3차원 형상을 구현하는 방법은 현업에서 많이 사용되고 있다.(중략)

  • With Rapid Prototyping system, the efficient packing in a fixed work volume reduces build time when multiple parts are built in a process. In this paper, an efficient and rapid packing algorithm is developed for SLS system that has cylindrical workspace. A genetic algorithm is implemented to place as many part as possible in a vat. For fast computation, a collision detection algorithm "k-DOPs Tree" is implemented.

  • This paper presents a design of macro-micro system for high-speed mounting of micro-chips. A macro motion device is driven by DC servomotor and ball screw mechanism. To obtain fast response, a micro motion device utilizes a precision elector magnetic actuator In order to reduce peak impact force, We evaluate the design parameters that have an effect on it. And a characteristic of response is simulated using PID controller in velocity and force control.

  • This paper presents manufacture of mock-up by HSM and optimization of machining condition for high productivity in the view of manufacturing time and accuracy. The rapid machining of prototypes plays an important role in building mock-up. Rapid Prototyping(RP) is a technology to make prototype. But, it have many problems such as shrinkage. deformation and formation occurred by hardening of resin and stair shaping. On the contrary, high speed machining(HSM) technology has many advantages such as good quality, low cost and rapid machining time. HSM and RP is compared for machining efficiency. Experiments are designed by Latin Square Method and machining condition is optimized and selected by ANOVA. For example, propeller is machined by the surface machining of thin surface parts.

  • In this paper, we report experimental investigations on measurement of adiabatic wall temperature on a flat 2-D plate of high-speed impinging jet made by circular-shape nozzle at steady state condition using infra-red camera. Experiments have been conducted for the Reynolds number of 187,000 according to the change of nozzle-to-plate distance. Dimensionless number, recovery factor, has been used to represent the measured adiabatic wall temperature. And we compared the result obtained by using infra-red camera with that obtained by using thermocouple.

  • Several Solid Freeform Fabrication Systems(SFFS) are commercialized in a few companies for rapid prototyping. However, they have many technical problems including the limitation of applicable materials. A new method of agile prototyping is required for the recent manufacturing environments of multi-item and small quantity production. The objectives of this paper include the development of a novel method of SFFS, the CAFL/sup VM/(Computer Aided Fabrication of Lamination for Various Material), and the manufacture of the various material samples for the certification of the proposed system and the creation of new application areas. For these objectives, the technologies for a highly accurate robot path control, the optimization of support structure, CAD modeling, adaptive slicing was implemented. However, there is an important problem with the conventional 2D lamination method. That is the inaccuracy of 3D model surface, which is caused by the stair-type surface generated in virtue of vertical 2D cutting. In this paper, We design the new control algorithm that guarantees the constant speed, precise positioning and tangential cutting on the 5DOF SFFS. We develop the tangential cutting algorithm to be controlled with constant speed and successfully implemented in the 5DOF CAFL/sup VM/ system developed in this paper. Finally, this paper confirms its high-performance through the experimental results from the application into CAFL/sup VM/ system.
