The allowable sound levels of major noise sources for the indoor-noise requirements of KHST (한국형 고속전철(KHST) 실내소음 설계기준을 위한 주요 소음원의 허용소음도)

  • It is required that the indoor-noise level of KHST (Korean High Speed Train) should be lower than 66 dB(A) at 300 km/h. In this study, the indoor-noise level of KHST has been predicted to determine the maximum allowable sound power levels of major noise sources. It is found that the indoor-noise requirements for KHST can be met by increasing the transmission losses of the floor and side-wall structures as well as by lowering the sound power levels of the major noise sources.

  • Computer aided simulation is an essential part in planning, design, and operation of railway systems. To determine the adequate performance and specification of railway system, it is necessary to calculate train performances such as distance, speed, power during train's running. This paper presents result of train performance simulation using the program that developed for Korea high speed train. To verify result of simulation, we have compared that with experiment data.

  • Train crashes involve complex interaction between deformable bodies in multiple collisions. The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective analytical procedure using finite element model for the crashworthiness of motorized trailer of high speed train. Various types of crash events are investigated and the conditions for numerical simulation are defined. Finally korean high speed train which consists of aluminum members can be analyzed and designed by the numerical simulation.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the effective analytical procedure using finite element model for the crashworthiness of motorized trailer of high speed train. In the analysis of end-on collision of Motorized Trailer for Korean High Speed Train., deformed pattern, rigidwall force, internal energy and each part section force is obtained. From those indices, we evaluate crashworthiness of motorized trailer for Korean High Speed Train in planning. The numerical results are applied to the design of motorized trailer of Korean high speed train.
