Adaptive array antenna using kalman filter method (Kalman filter법에 의한 어댑티브 어레이 안테나)

  • Adaptive array is using the array of antenna elements spatially and its output is the sum of each antenna elements output signal which is multiplied by the controlled weight coefficients corresponding to each elements. In this paper, for the BPSK and BFSK signals with S/I=2, S/N=10 is applied to the linear array antenna using the LMS & the Kalman filter algorithm. For the 4 elements equidistance linear array antenna system LMS and Kalman filter algorithm was used as the adaptive instruction principles and the application results to the constant amplitude envelope signals such as BPSK or BFSK can be seen that the computer simulation results are very fast in the convergence characteristics of directional patterns and the signal following characteristics.

  • 무인자율항체는 자동차, 선박, 잠수함과 같이 인간에 의해 직접 조종되는 유인항체에 인간의 역할을 대신할 수 있는 지능시스템을 배치하여 전체적 혹은 부분적으로 무인화한 이동체를 말한다. 무인자율항체에서 사용되는 소프트웨어는 인식, 사고, 행위와 같은 인간의 지적능력을 내포한 인공지능시스템이어야 한다. 자율무인잠수정, 자율운항선박과 같은 저속무인자율항체는 무인항공기나 무인차량과 같이 빠른 판단과 제어가 요구되는 지능제어시스템과는 다른 특성을 가진다. 저속무인자율항체에서 가장 주목되는 특성은 주위 환경 변화속도와 운항속도에 따른 긴박감의 차이이다. 고속자율항체에서는 제어시스템의 처리속도에, 저속자율항체에서는 제어시스템의 신뢰성에 비중을 둔다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 저속무인자율항체의 특성과 기능별 독립성 보장, 반응형 및 인식형 인공지능 기법의 융화 극대화에 촛점을 맞춘 RVC(Reactive Layer - Virtual World - Considerative Layer) 지능시스템 모델을 소개한다.

  • Generally, in the best-known Pulse-type type and Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave(FM/CW)-type RF range measurement systems, the nearest measurable distance between antenna of system and targets is limited to several tens of meters. Moreover, in case of high-speed targets it is more difficult to measure the distance precisely. In this paper we design our own RF(X-band) range(up to 15 meters) measurement system usi code correlation for high- speed targets. It 0 the correlation value between transmitting receiving PN (Pseudo -Noise) codes. So we determine the distance between antenna of s and targets using this correlation value. We fabricated it using MIC techniques and experimental results show that the proposed syste fully qualified for a short range measurement syste

  • When measuring the radiated noise of an underwater vehicle, range information between acoustic source and receiver is an important evaluating factor, but it cannot use GPS. There is a method of using the cross correlation for finding the range of the acoustic source instead of the GPS. However, this method has heavy computational loads. This paper proposes a fast Fourier transform based method with a relatively small amount of computation to estimate the range of a source. The proposed method estimates Doppler frequencies of CW signals received at multiple receivers by fast Fourier transform and estimates the source range by comparing theoretical Doppler frequencies map previously calculated by a receiver position and source depth information. Simulation and lake trial were performed to verify the performance.

  • 호안은 유수로부터 제방과 하안을 보호하는 구조물로 태풍 또는 집중호우로 인한 홍수로부터의 안정성이 확보되어야 한다. 적정한 호안공법 또는 제품의 선정을 위해서는 유속, 소류력 등이 반영된 수리 안정성 검토가 필요하나 현재 국내에는 이와 관련한 객관적인 평가나 시험 기준이 제시되어있지 않기 때문에 국내에서는 실제 수리실험을 통한 호안제품 및 공법의 수리학적 안정성을 제공하는 경우는 찾아보기 어려운 것이 현실이다. 본 연구는 호안공법 중 친환경적 재료를 사용하여 개발된 스톤매트리스 호안공법의 수리적 안정성을 검토하기 위해 수행되었다. 스톤매트리스 공법은 상부망과 하부망의 체결을 통해 돌을 군체로 일체화 시킴으로써 치수 안정성이 매우 뛰어나며, 충분한 식생공간을 확보한 공법으로 재료의 2차 변형 방지가 가능하며 안전한 군체 유지가 가능한 공법이다. 이러한 공법에 대한 안정성 검토를 위한 실규모 실험은 안동 하천연구센터에서 수행하였다. 실험에 사용된 수로는 8°의 경사를 갖는 급경사수로에서 수행되었다. 수로의 제원은 폭 3m, 길이 30m 의 직사각형 형태의 직선수로로 이루어져 있다. 시험체는 실규모로 제작되며 2m × 10m 의 제원을 갖는 별도의 트레이에 시공되어 실험시 크레인을 이용하여 실험수로에 안착시킨다. 수리 안정성 실험은 실험대상유량을 단계별로 나누어 점차적으로 증가시키며, 시험체의 이탈, 파괴 등의 큰 변화가 발생하였을 경우 실험을 종료한다. 수리량 측정은 유속측정, 수위관측 등으로 이루어지며, 재료의 변형은 3D스캐너를 이용하여 변위를 검토하였다. 총 3회에 걸친 실험결과 실험수로에서 발생가능한 최대유량인 4.34cms 조건에서 실험체 바닥에서의 소류력은 약 300N/m2 의 소류력이 발생하는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 재료의 수직변위는 최대 1.8mm로 계측기 오차범위에 근접한 수치를 보이는 것으로 실험체의 이동이나 석재의 파손은 발생하지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

Performance of MIMO-OFDM System with Linear Pre-Equalization over Fading Channel (페이딩 환경에서 선형 사전 등화를 이용한 MIMO-OFDM 시스템의 성능)

  • Wireless communication channels with the most severe multipath fading phenomenon that appears each time a different delay is caused by the frequency selective fading. At this time, ISI due to the performance degradation of wireless communication channels and data transfer speed gives the constraints. OFDM technique can remove ISI inserting longer guard interval than channel delay spread of channel between symbol. However, the multi-path delay of the channel to be serious with the guard interval can not eliminate ISI. In this case, using the equalizer must compensate. Especially, use of equalizer is need absolutely as data rate becomes high speed. In this paper, we analyze the BER performance with pre-equalization for MIMO-OFDM over fading channel. The results of this paper can be applied to MIMO-OFDM system with equalization.

  • There have been increased concerns on mobile stratospheric communication system(SCS) for the purpose of advanced service of personal and high speed communication systems. In fact, this SCS is considered and studied for IMT-2000 service by ITU. Although, it is important to make accurate channel model for prediction of the SCS performance, there is no measured channel data in this system. Thus, in this paper, we estimate the performance of SCS bye use of channel model provided by Corazza(2) and modified by You(3). And also, the effects of channel codings on system performance are analyzed by deriving bit error performance based on realistic Rician log-normal fading channel models. The performance results are divided into three kinds of areas with three kinds of elevation angles 20$^\cire$, 45$^\cire$, and 80$^\cire$. And also the effects of forward error correction channel codings on system performance with Hamming(7,4), HCH( IS,7) and convolutional code of constraint length 3 and code rate R=1/2.

  • Fast developments of broadcasting technologies since 1990s enabled not only High Definition Television service providing high quality audiovisual contents at home but also mobile broadcasting service providing audiovisual contents to high speed moving vehicle. Terrestrial Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (T-DMB) is one of the technologies developed for mobile broadcasting service, which has been successfully commercialized. One of the major technical breakthroughs achieved by T-DMB in addition to robust vehicular reception is an adoption of framework based on MPEG-4 System. It naturally enables integrated interactive data services by using Binary Format for Scene (BIFS) technology for scene description and representation of graphics object and Object Descriptor Framework representing multimedia service components as objects. T-DMB interactive data service has two fundamental limitations. Firstly, graphic data for interactive service should be always overlaid on top of a video not to be rendered out of it. Secondly, data for interactive service is only received by broadcasting channel. These limitations were considered as general in broadcasting systems. However, they are being considered as hard limitations for personalized data services using location information and user characteristics which are becoming widely used for data services of smart devices in these days. In this paper, the architecture of T-DMB hybrid data service is proposed which is utilizing broadcasting network, wireless internet and local storage for delivering BIFS data to overcome these limitations. This paper also presents hybrid BIFS technology to implement T-DMB hybrid data service while maintaining backward compatibility with legacy T-DMB players.

Fast Heuristic Algorithm for Similarity of Trajectories Using Discrete Fréchet Distance Measure (이산 프레셰 거리 척도를 이용한 궤적 유사도 고속계산 휴리스틱 알고리즘)

  • A trajectory is the motion path of a moving object. The advances in IT have made it possible to collect an immeasurable amount of various type of trajectory data from a moving object using location detection devices like GPS. The trajectories of moving objects are widely used in many different fields of research, including the geographic information system (GIS) field. In the GIS field, several attempts have been made to automatically generate digital maps of roads by using the vehicle trajectory data. To achieve this goal, the method to cluster the trajectories on the same road is needed. Usually, the $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ distance measure is used to calculate the distance between a pair of trajectories. However, the $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ distance measure requires prolonged calculation time for a large amount of trajectories. In this paper, we presented a fast heuristic algorithm to distinguish whether the trajectories are in close distance or not using the discrete $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ distance measure. This algorithm trades the accuracy of the resulting distance with decreased calculation time. By experiments, we showed that the algorithm could distinguish between the trajectory within 10 meters and the distant trajectory with 95% accuracy and, at worst, 65% of calculation reduction, as compared with the discrete $Fr{\acute{e}}chet$ distance.

  • The car navigation system to be accompanied to the car on-board equipment system or the development of mobile communication technique, the demand in information communication which connects an interior and the car outside is coming to be high, As applications, ETC/VISC/AHS classes get deceived supply are advanced. The research of DSRC radio systems actively, with medium of communication between the automobile and road, is advanced. DSRC radio systems are appropriate in massive data transfer, in the case which the traffic accident evasion is urgent, the notarization of the preferential control function which is necessary to a medium of communication, guarantee and security are suitable in the high-speed network. Accompanied to the cellular phone which is to be supplied recently suddenly, By complementing and coexisting each other, and it will be developed simultaneously. However, in a connection of this kind of communication system and high-speed DSRC radio system, Hand-over technique (network, radio transmission hand-over), there is a technical subject of the high-speed transmission techniques against the mobile devices and the realization is expected to be difficult in near, until 2010 year is becoming the plan of putting to practical use. Also as the next generation DSRC with 5.8GHz built-on board equipment and the road-side equipment are expected in near. In this paper DSRC systems which will be developed are discussed.
