  • Recently, the 4th generation of mobile communications in Korea with anyone supports was supported high speed multimedia communication services. With the launch of Apple iPhone, there is an explosion of interest in Smartphone itself as well as Internet-based services using Smartphone are being revitalized. Smartphone users, opinion experts almost of the economically active population is using, it has reached the saturation past the early stages of formation. In 1989, the 1st generation mobile communication service has been started with the analog voice service. After this, the 2nd generation mobile communication service for short messages and digital voices has been developed. And, the 3rd generation service of low speed data and low quality videos has been realized in 2000s. The very high speed data service of LTE (long term evolution), which is the 4th generation mobile communication service standards, had been in July 2011. and the subscribers are increasing constantly. However, changes in communication technology, has given an economical cost to Smartphone users. Therefore, the purposes of this study was trending of the communication cost according to the change in the communication technology of the mobile communication industry.

A Study on the Durability Performance of a Receptacle for CNG Vehicles (천연가스 차량용 리셉터클의 내구성능에 관한 연구)

  • Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses have been supplied since the year 2000 in order to resolve severe atmospheric pollution in metropolitan area and contributed on the improvement of urban atmospheric environment. However, it is indispensible to take an adequate measure to guarantee the safety of CNG vehicles because of the possibility of huge fire accident. A receptacle, connecting device between high pressure fuel supply tank and fuel line, plays an important role in CNG supply system. In recent, leakage of CNG from receptacles has been reported. So, the concern about the security and reliability of receptacles has been arisen. Therefore, a lot of efforts to prevent leakage are invested among researchers and the durability of this component should be guaranteed despite repeated operation. This research has performed durability tests of a CNG receptacle regarding the repeated usage, extreme chattering, and continuous full flow test. Although a receptacle used for CNG vehicle satisfies validation requirements in the test results, it has been found that failure in the function of leakage prevention in a receptacle could take place in the case of prolonged exposure to high supply pressure in common quick charging environment on site.

  • 전력선 통신용 비접촉식 커플러는 고속형(2~30 MHz)과 저속형(100~450KHz)으로 나누어 볼 수 있는데, 고속형은 현재 국내에서 독자적으로 개발되어 다양한 모델이 적용되고 있는 상황이지만, 저속형은 시작품수준으로 제조되어 있으나 신호전송 특성의 향상절구가 필요한 상황이다. 전력선 통신용 커플러는 전력선 또는 모뎀으로 통신신호를 전달하는 기능을 하는 것으로서, 전력선 통신을 위한 핵심부품이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 100~450 KHz 대역에서 사용 가능한 저속형 비접촉식 커플러를 제조하기 위해, 권선조건, 대전류형 자심재료의 모의 해석, 노이즈 필터조건, 임피던스 매칭, 하우징방법 등의 각 공정 변수를 확립하고자 하였다. 자심재료의 모의해석에서 자심재료의 높이와 전력선 도체 단면적 변화는 자심재료의 전류포화특성에 영향을 미치지 않으며, 유효길이와 에어-갭 크기가 증가할수록 전류포화특성은 향상되는데, 자심재료의 내경이 64 mm일 때 자심재료의 폭((외경-내경)/2)은 15 mm 이상이어야 하고, 에어-갭은 약 $600\;{\mu}m$ 정도의 에어-갭을 형성시켜야함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 저속용 비접촉식 커플러 제조조건 실험에서 내경${\times}$외경${\times}$높이가 $64{\times}94{\times}140mm$인 자심재료를 이용하여 권선 수와 에어-갭을 각각 3회, $400{\sim}600\;{\mu}m$ 삽입했을 때, 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내었다. 그리고 저역 통과 필터를 출력부에 내장하여 통신신호 이외의 노이즈를 제거할 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 제조된 300 A급 지중선용 저속형 비접촉식 커플러는 내경${\times}$외경${\times}$높이가 $58{\times}1144{\times}158mm$이고, 100~450 KHz 통신대역에서 약$7{\pm}2dB$의 삽입손실을 나타내었다.

  • As artificial intelligence(AI) technologies, which have made rapid growth recently, began to be applied to the marine environment such as ships, there have been active researches on the application of CNN-based models specialized for digital videos. In E-Navigation service, which is combined with various technologies to detect floating objects of clash risk to reduce human errors and prevent fires inside ships, real-time processing is of huge importance. More functions added, however, mean a need for high-performance processes, which raises prices and poses a cost burden on shipowners. This study thus set out to propose a method capable of processing information at a high rate while maintaining the accuracy by applying Quantization techniques of a deep learning model. First, videos were pre-processed fit for the detection of floating matters in the sea to ensure the efficient transmission of video data to the deep learning entry. Secondly, the quantization technique, one of lightweight techniques for a deep learning model, was applied to reduce the usage rate of memory and increase the processing speed. Finally, the proposed deep learning model to which video pre-processing and quantization were applied was applied to various embedded boards to measure its accuracy and processing speed and test its performance. The proposed method was able to reduce the usage of memory capacity four times and improve the processing speed about four to five times while maintaining the old accuracy of recognition.

Numerical Study of Evaporation and Ignition of in-line Array Liquid Droplets (액적 배열의 증발과 착화에 관한 수치해석적 연구)

  • The spreading fire of very small floating particles after they are ignited is fast and t therefore dangerous. The research on this area has been limited to experiments and global simulations which treat them as dusts or gaseous fuel with certain concentration well m mixed with air. This research attempted micro-scale analysis of ignition of those particles modeling them as liquid droplets. For the beginning, the in-line array of fuel droplets is modeled by two-dimensional, unsteady conservation equations for mass, momentum, energy and species transport in the gas phase and an unsteady energy equation in the liquid phase. They are solved numerically in a generalized non-orthogonal coordinate. The single step chemical reaction with reaction rate controlled by Arrhenius’ law is assumed to a assess chemical reaction numerically. The calculated results show the variation of temperature and the concentration profile with time during evaporation and ignition process. Surrounding oxygen starts to mix with evaporating fuel vapor from the droplet. When the ignition condition is met, the exothermic reactions of the premixed gas initiate a and burn intensely. The maximum temperature position gradually approaches the droplet surface and maximum temperature increases rapidly following the ignition. The fuel and oxygen concentration distributions have minimum points near the peak temperature position. Therefore the moment of ignition seems to have a premixed-flame aspect. After this very short transient period minimum points are observed in the oxygen and fuel d distributions and the diffusion flame is established. The distance between droplets is an important parameter. Starting from far-away apart, when the distance between droplets decreases, the ignition-delay time decreases meaning faster ignition. When they are close and after the ignition, the maximum temperature moves away from the center line of the in-line array. It means that the oxygen at the center line is consumed rapidly and further supply is blocked by the flame. The study helped the understanding of the ignition of d droplet array and opened the possibility of further research.

  • This paper proposes the noise robust algorithm to detect the starting point of music. Detection of starting point of music is necessary to solve computational-waste problem and retrieval-comparison problem with inconsistent input data in music content based retrieval system. In particular, such detection is even more necessary in time sequential retrieval method that compares data in the sequential order of time in contents based music retrieval system. Whereas it has the long point that the retrieval is fast since it executes simple comparison in the order of time, time sequential retrieval method has the short point that data starting time to be compared should be the same. However, digitalized music cannot guarantee the equity of starting time by bit rate conversion. Therefore, this paper ensured that recognition rate shall not decrease even while executing high speed retrieval by applying time sequential retrieval method through detection of music starting point in the pre-processing stage of retrieval. Starting point detection used minimum wave model that can detect effective sound, and for strength against noise, the noises existing in mute sound were swapped. The proposed algorithm was confirmed to produce about 38% more excellent performance than the results to which starting point detection was not applied, and was verified for the strength against noise.

  • In this paper, we proposes new load-sharing algorism for equal current division using CAN communication. Proposed algorithm is different from conventional analog method, it performed strong Load-sharing using bi-direction high speed communication. Each modules constitution on independence controller (voltage controller, electric current controller). In parallel system prototype, each module have controller and performed load-sharing according to master module integral value. Also additional controller use for getting each module situations that fault situation of module and fault locate of module. we implemented high efficient load-sharing and redundancy. In this paper, we verify the validity of proposed algorithm using PSIM program and prototype.

  • Exactly measuring traffic load is the basis for efficient traffic engineering. However, precise traffic measurement involves inspecting every packet traversing a lint resulting in significant overhead on routers with high-speed links. Sampling techniques are proposed as an alternative way to reduce the measurement overhead. But, since sampling inevitably accompany with error, there should be a way to control, or at least limit, the error for traffic engineering applications to work correctly. In this paper, we address the problem of bounding sampling error within a pre-specified tolerance level. We derive a relationship between the number of samples, the accuracy of estimation and the squared coefficient of variation of packet size distribution. Based on this relationship, we propose an adaptive random sampling technique that determines the minimum sampling probability adaptively according to traffic dynamics. Using real network traffic traces, we show that the proposed adaptive random sampling technique indeed produces the desired accuracy, while also yielding significant reduction in the amount of traffic samples.

S-wave Relative Travel Time Tomography for East Asia (동아시아 S파 상대 주시 토모그래피)

  • We performed seismic imaging based on relative S-wave travel times to examine S-wave velocity of upper mantle structure beneath East Asia. We used teleseismic events recorded at 129 broadband stations of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM), Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), and National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention (NIED). Relative travel time residuals were obtained by a multi-channel cross-correlation method designed to automatically determine accurate relative phase arrival times. The resulting images show high-velocity anomalies along plate boundaries around the Japanese islands region. These anomalies may indicate subducting Pacific and Philippine Sea plates. On the other hand, a low-velocity anomaly is revealed beneath east of the Korean peninsula down to around 300 km depth, which is thought to be related to the formation of the Ulleung basin and the Ulleung island. Low-velocity anomalies revealed beneath the Jeju island may imply that the formation and volcanism of the Jeju island have been caused by magmatic sources from the deep mantle.

In this research, additionally the mVoIP service industry activation plan is presented with the trends of technology development including the chip-set/module/terminal, etc. based upon local and foreign market trend searchlight through the market demand analysis. The mVoIP service downloads App to the mobile apparatus and or can provide the service as the software through the WiFi network. Therefore, the change which is large in the products development aspect is to be have no. Expected to is being provided as the added service in the case of 4G-LTE as a matter of course, the service deployment where it is based on the market principle and demand needs is needed.
