  • As automobile drivers' desires become ever diversified with the spreading phenomenon of 'characteristic automobile decorations', it is feared that the design quality may be deteriorated, while the safety be retarded in terms of performance and function. In Korea, the 'Dress-up tuning' becomes the source of the social criticism because of lack of relevant codes and professional tuning services, while automobile drivers are excessively having their automobiles overdressed ignoring the overall aesthetic aspect and functions. Under such a circumstance, this study was aimed at reviewing the practices and dress-up accessories by each automobile part of those foreign automobile makers and professional tuners who have introduced the concept of 'customizing' and developed dress-up accessories and various tuning parts only to satisfy their customers' tuning needs. It is anticipated that automobile styling would tend more to pursue a 'coordination' featuring ordinary consumers' individualistic senses, while customers' needs reflecting their life styles be more refined. Meanwhile, Korean automobile consumers have accommodated the product designs : presented within the producers' frameworks, but they are expected to pursue the design values varying according to changing structures of production, society and industry as well as the resultant design activities. In all, makers and designers are requested to be aware of such changing environment structures and thereby, explore other alternatives, or reflect seriously on the socio-cultural implications inherent in the products, namely on the production and consumption of people's favorites.

Among them, 220(88%) copies were used for the analysis. SPSS WIN Version 12.0 statistical package program was used for the analysis of data processing, the frequency analysis, reliability analysis and factor analysis were operated, and the hypothesis testing was verified by the regression analysis. The results of the analyses are as follows. For the hypothesis that "the dining-out consumption pattern will have a significant effect on the emotional response," it was verified that the style which pursues health and the style which is loyal to relationships had significant effects on pleasure while the style which pursues rest didn't. Also, the style which pursues health and the style which is loyal to relationships had significant effects on arousal while the style which pursues rest didn't. • The introduction of the Digital Economy has formed a new market producing and trading information. Depending on the current contexts, each user evaluates identical information differently. It is difficult, even though important, to create and deliver the information customized to individual users by using some factors as time, location, and their personal characteristics. Information value, therefore, could be influenced by the capability of information systems to delivery useful information based on individual contexts to the right user immediately at the right time. From this point of view, we argue mobile systems which are able to be aware of individual contexts and deliver contextual information in real time can improve information value easily than other systems can. This research presents the results of an empirical test about antecedents to mobile advertising value. Though context relevance doesn't influence directly mobile advertising value, it plays an important role enhancing information usefulness which has great influence on mobile advertising value. Moreover, to supply information connected with users' context overcomes the effect of irritation. Lastly, entertainment can improve mobile advertising value as satisfying user's hedonic desire beyond the information source supporting decision making.

  • The entry of large discount stores such as E-mart, LG mart, Magnet etc. into small cities have had a profound impact on the business of small-sized retailers. Now, it becomes the matter of survival for small-sized retailers and it is almost impossible to reverse those trends. Without satisfying consumers' various needs and wants, retailers can not survive. Therefore, it is extremely important to understand retail competition from the perspective of consumers in order for retailers to survive in the turbulent environment. The previous research studies on retail competition have focused on the comparison among different types of retailers with respect to strategic retail mix variables. However, they do not consider the competitive aspects of consumers' sides. In addition, we do not fully understand the meaning of "shopping." Shopping means hedonic shopping as well as utilitarian shopping. Utilitarian aspects are important but consumers also prefer' hedonic aspects too. That is the reason that traditional retailers such as small-sized retailers can not compete with modem and large retailers. We use three different methods to identify the macro and competitive structure. of retailing with respect to shopping. Factor analysis, multidimensional scaling, and multiple correspondence analysis are used to produce perceptual mapping of retail competition. Department store and large discount store are identified as close competitors but both might have an indirect impact on small-sized retailers through demand shift toward high end retailers.

  • This dissertation investigated the evaluation model of IT Service quality: concentrated on the quality components in mobile communication service. Today, mobile communication service is changing dramatically. The first and second generation's mobile communication services were designed for voice and SMS(Short Message Service). However, while the mobile communication industry grows, the mobile technology made more services available for customers. Customers' changing needs brought a new opportunities to the market. Now, mobile communication service is facing a new era as multi-functioning, multimedia service, and high speed data transfer service are being introduced. There has been a lot of theoretical literature on service quality components of mobile communication, but most of the literature was focused on the voice service and SMS(1st and 2nd generation). As mobile communication service evolves, the components may have to be altered or rebuilt. To identify which service quality components ought to be utilized, prior studies on service quality components, service quality, and customer satisfaction were reviewed. Also, a survey was conducted on the various aspects of mobile communication service. This study suggests 6 components of service quality: those are supporting facilities, cellular phone(facilitating goods), quality of the voice service(explicit service), supplementary services, supporting services, and cost. Empirical results supported that all of these components are proven as the service quality components, but, with regards to customer satisfaction, only cellular phone(facilitating goods) and supplementary services are effective. As previously stated, the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction is also proven. This study is a point of departure for the success of upcoming generation's mobile communication service. It identifies what is valuable from the customer's point of view. Furthermore, it suggests some ideas to prepare for future market opportunities.
