A Store Recommendation Procedure in Ubiquitous Market (U-마켓에서의 매장 추천방법)

  • Recently as ubiquitous environment comes to the fore, information density is raised and enterprise is being able to capture and utilize customer-related information at the same time when the customer purchases a product. In this environment, a need for the recommender systems which can deliver proper information to the customer at the right time and right situation is highly increased. Therefore, the research on recommender systems continued actively in a variety of fields. Until now, most of recommender systems deal with item recommendation. However, in the market in ubiquitous environment where the same item can be purchased at several stores, it is highly desirable to recommend store to the customer based on his/her contextual situation and preference such as store location, store atmosphere, product quality and price, etc. In this line of research, we proposed the store recommender system using customer's contextual situation and preference in the market in ubiquitous environment. This system is based on collaborative filtering and Apriori algorithms. It will be able to provide customer-centric service to the customer, enhance shopping experiences and contribute in revitalizing market in the long term.

  • This study aims to provide implications by exploring the experiences of elderly customers using smart wearable devices. The proportion of the elderly among all customers is increasing day by day, and they are gradually trying to use smart devices more actively and improve the quality of life. It is known that the elderly have difficulty using smart devices compared to the younger generation, but this study aims to identify psychological mechanisms in the use process to help the elderly users use related devices more conveniently and joyfully and to actively apply them to service and product development. In particular, theoretical and practical implications were provided by investigating the causal relationship between variables that play a major role in the process of using smart devices, such as convenience, fun, and challenge.

  • After COVID-19, hotel industry is rapidly experiencing changes in the business environment, and under the influence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, hotel industry is striving to secure competitive advantages through differentiation, including the use of big data and the IoT in service provision, as well as the introduction of artificial intelligence(AI) robot services. This study analyzed the perceived value of AI robot services and their impact on usage attitudes and behavioral intentions of customers who have used hotels that have introduced AI robot services. The results of the study showed that the value of robot services perceived by customers who have used robot services in hotels is categorized into three dimensions: social, experiential, and functional, and all of them have a positive effect on usage attitudes, with social, functional, and experiential values having a positive effect on usage attitudes in that order. Attitude toward use was also analyzed to have a positive effect on behavioral intention, which is consistent with the value-attitude-behavior model. Therefore, it is necessary for hotels to improve the satisfaction of hotel guests through diversified services of AI robot service.

  • This study aims to examine effects of service authenticity and service quality on the customer satisfaction and customer loyalty in mediation of customer trust in financial investment company. This research model was validated by the statistical tool of SPSS18.0 and AMOS18.0 using survey data collected from the experienced of financial investment company. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, service process authenticity has a significant effect with customer satisfaction and customer oriented authenticity has a significant effect with customer satisfaction in mediation of customer trust. Second, service quality(tangibility, reliability, assurance, empathy, except responsiveness) has a positive effect(empathy is the highest of all) with customer satisfaction and the importance of service authenticity and service quality can be confirmed from customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. Third, customer satisfaction and customer loyalty as well as trust and satisfaction have significant effects between them, but there have no significance between trust and loyalty. Finally, this study suggests directions of marketing strategy through build up trust in a strong relationship with the existing loyal customer in financial investment company.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a mileage program on consumers' negative emotions and behavior when the program failed. To accomplish the purpose of this study, the failures in mileage programs were classified into three types(refusal, delay, reduced advantages) with two types of customers' commitment(affective and calculative), and an experimental design was used to verify the effect of customers' negative emotions on their negative behavior when the programs fail. A total of 600 university students in Seoul and Pusan areas were surveyed from 1st of Sept. to 30th in 2009. The result suggests that both consumers with affective commitment and those with calculative commitment felt negative emotions(regret, disappointment) when a mileage program failed. Consumers with affective commitment to a company are expected to give negative words of mouth to others. Also, consumers with calculative commitment to a company are expected to complain and give negative words of mouth to others.

  • This paper examined the influence of employees' social regard toward the customers, such as, overall service quality, service satisfaction, and service loyalty. The paper proves that the high contact beauty services and the low contact fast-food services have different customer satisfaction level depending on the employees' social regards. A survey study was conducted to collect the data with the actual service purchasers at domestic beauty services and fast-food services. Analysis of structural equation modeling with Amos 18.0 was performed to test the research hypothesis. The results of the study are as follows: First, social regard has positive influences on service quality, service satisfaction, and service loyalty. Second, Social regard has more effect on service satisfaction in a high contact beauty services than in a low contact fast-food services. This paper contribute to identify the effects of employees' social regard on service satisfaction, by comparing the effects on service satisfaction between high and low contact services.

  • This study aims to determine if we can draw significant strategies for development and improvement of hotel wedding business by analyzing the future-going and consistent wedding & ceremony culture of superior hotels in Seoul. Though the study, I could make conclusions as follows; First, human service in hotel wedding services which can be roughly categorized into human service influence on positive or negative emotion reaction of the client directly. Second, positive or negative emotion reaction of the client for the hotel wedding service commodity result in positive or negative influence on the client's behavioral intention. I hope that there will be further studies from sampling to positive study on this issue in consideration of the conclusions and the limits of this study.

The effect of customer incivility on emotional exhaustion through negative affectivity (고객 무례행동의 부정적 정서를 통한 감정소지에 미치는 영향)

  • Customer incivility is an important stress factor employees performing service tasks, and this is equally true for employees who perform civil affairs services. The purpose of this study is to investigate the negative effects of adverse customer behavior and ways to reduce it. This study adopts the Conservation of Resource (COR) theory in order to examine customer incivility. This study predicts that customer incivility will negative emotions and eventually lead to emotional exhaustion in employees. We also predict that social support (organizational support, supervisor support, coworker support) perceived by employees would moderate the relationship between customer incivility and negative emotions. This study is based on 481 questionnaires collected from public officials. The results are as follows: First, customer incivility causes negative emotions. Second, negative emotions mediate the relationship between customer incivility and emotional exhaustion. Third, the relationship between customer incivility and negative emotions showed moderating effects on the perception of organizational support which is one of three types of social support. Based on the results of this study, implications, limitations, and future direction of research are suggested.

  • The customer retention of internet shopping mall become important nowadays as internet shopping mall is expanding quickly. In this situation, the present study aims to analyze the components of internet shopping mall service quality and it's relationship with satisfaction, and retention. The CRM is a very important point for company marketing, it is also necessary to construct trust and commitment. Especially it has been recognized that when we deal with online shopping, the correlation with customers is very important. At this point one purpose of this study is to find out those effects on satisfaction of the service quality. Another purpose is to find the factors which effect retention. Structural equation modeling is used to test the model building in this paper based on the data from survey of 223 online shopping mall customers. The results in the study provide our supports to the model and indicate that: first, service quality has a positive effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction, trust and commitment have strong relations and they affect customer retention in the internet shopping mall service.

A Study on the Effect of Bakery Shop Selection according to the Dietary Lifestyle on the Customer Behavioral Intention (식생활 라이프스타일에 따른 베이커리 카페 선택속성이 고객행동의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide evidence concerning the effects of selection attributes of bakery cafe and customer behavior intention through empirical analysis. Current study literary supported by previous studies that conducted to concepts such as selection attributes, customer behavioral intention, and based on research result, devised theoretical model combining each relation. For the empirical study, in addition, data were collected from customers who have been visited at bakery cafe located in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, and Daegu. Total of 312 valid questionnaires are statistically analyzed to achieve the study objective. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, cross analysis, cluster analysis and ANOVA test were employed for statistical examination. Results show that bakery cafe marketers need to allocate resources of cafe by considering different attributes selection factors. Present study will be contributed to develop strategical implications to determine which selection attributes should be emphasized to attract more customers and to satisfy bakery cafe visitors.
