Implementation of a SNOMED CT Browser for Effective Searching of Clinical Terminology (의학 용어의 효과적인 검색을 위한 SNOMED CT 브라우저의 구현)

  • To write a medical record using SNOMED CT standard clinical terminologies, it is necessary to find and select an appropriate terminology from the huge volume of terminologies within short time. Using previous SNOMED CT search browsers, it is very difficult to select appropriate one from search results since they provide a simple list-up of similar candidate terminologies. This paper proposes a novel search browser which supports effect searching of clinical terminology by utilizing characteristics of SNOMED CT. The proposed system provides a simplified tree-view representing hierarchical structures of search results which enables fast selection of appropriate terminology from the search results. Design and Implementation of the system proves effectiveness of the proposed approach.

  • 본 논문에서는 G7과제의 일부로 수행 중인 주거/사무환경에서 인간의 감성을 지표화하는 감성기반기술개발 연구과제에서 생성된 피험자의 생리신호 및 주관적 감성평가 데이터를 관리하기 위한 감성정보관리 시스템을 설계하였다. 제안한 감성정보관리시스템에서는 사용자에게 정교한 GUI와 높은 응답성을 제공하기 위해 2계층 클라이언트/서버 (2-tier client/server) 구조를 기본적으로 사용하고 있으며, 감성정보의 조회 부분은 외부 사용자에게 접근의 용이함을 제공하기 위해 웹 인터페이스를 추가적으로 지원하였다. 그리고 대용량 생리신호(EEG) 데이터를 병렬 전송한 다음, 데이터베이스에 저장하기 위해서 서버 쪽에 일부 응용논리를 배치하였다.

Keyword-based networked knowledge map expressing content relevance between knowledge (지식 간 내용적 연관성을 표현하는 키워드 기반 네트워크형 지식지도 개발)

  • A knowledge map as the taxonomy used in a knowledge repository should be structured to support and supplement knowledge activities of users who sequentially inquire and select knowledge for problem solving. The conventional knowledge map with a hierarchical structure has the advantage of systematically sorting out types and status of the knowledge to be managed, however it is not only irrelevant to knowledge user's process of cognition and utilization, but also incapable of supporting user's activity of querying and extracting knowledge. This study suggests a methodology for constructing a networked knowledge map that can support and reinforce the referential navigation, searching and selecting related and chained knowledge in term of contents, between knowledge. Regarding a keyword as the semantic information between knowledge, this research's networked knowledge map can be constructed by aggregating each set of knowledge links in an automated manner. Since a keyword has the meaning of representing contents of a document, documents with common keywords have a similarity in content, and therefore the keyword-based document networks plays the role of a map expressing interactions between related knowledge. In order to examine the feasibility of the proposed methodology, 50 research papers were randomly selected, and an exemplified networked knowledge map between them with content relevance was implemented using common keywords.

  • In this paper, we design a semantic-based syllabus template including learning ontologies. A syllabus has been considered as a important blueprint of teaching in universities. However, the current syllabus has no importance in real world because most of all syllabus management systems provide simple functionalities such as, creation, modification, and retrieval. In this paper, our approach consists of definition of hierarchical structure of syllabus and semantic relationships of syllabuses, formalization of learning goals, learning activity, and learning evaluation using Bloom's taxonomy and design of learning subject ontologies for improving the usability of syllabus. We prove the correctness of our proposed methods according to implementing a real syllabus for JAVA programing course and experiments for retrieving syllabuses.

  • The purpose of this study is to define On-line Video Syllabus Template which is based on adaptive mode with interaction.A syllabus has the significance as a teaching and learning plan. However, it has not only been considered as a formal document, has also been limited into a simple query since it has been made into a fragmentary structure, lacking of link between other services and reuse. Additionally, this paper is aimed to design three-dimensional syllabus which makes it possible to provide students with practical information related to teaching and learning and share it with teachers and students. The following is the technique proposed in this paper. It is made to be served for the Syllabus centered on teaching and learning, which is including the definition of hierarchy structure, the media contents application according to the learner's preference and real-time variation function. On-line Video Syllabus provided through LMS has availability and credibility of teaching and learning, in that it enable increased utilization by strengthening convenience.
