  • All kinds of monitoring data in construction site could have outlier created from diverse cause. In this study generation technique of synthesis value, its regression, final outlier detection and assessment are conducted to distinct outlier data included in extensive time series dataset. Synthesis value having weight factor of correlation between a number of datasets consist of many monitoring data enable to detect outlier by increasing its correlation. Standard artificial dataset in which intentional outliers are inserted has been used for assessment of synthesis value technique. These results showed increase of detection accuracy for outlier and general tendency in case of having different time series models in common. Accuracy of outlier detection increased in case of using more dataset and showing similar time series pattern.

  • This study introduces an enhanced sound source localization technique, bolstered by a data-driven deep learning approach, to improve the precision and accuracy of direction of arrival estimation. Focused on refining Time Difference Of Arrival (TDOA) based sound source localization, the research hinges on accurately estimating TDOA from cross-correlation functions. Accurately estimating the TDOA still remains a limitation in this research field because the measured value from actual microphones are mixed with a lot of noise. Additionally, the digitization process of acoustic signals introduces quantization errors, associated with the sampling frequency of the measurement system, that limit the precision of TDOA estimation. A deep learning-based approach is designed to overcome these limitations in TDOA accuracy and precision. To validate the method, we conduct comprehensive evaluations using both two and three-microphone array configurations. Moreover, the feasibility and real-world applicability of the suggested method are further substantiated through experiments conducted in an anechoic chamber.

  • The study aims at verifying no generation of electrical power induced noise voltage on telecommunications lineside cable by analyzing the practical findings of noise voltage produced at the telecommunication lines in the vicinity of electrified high-speed railways like KTX, while proposing to make the current standard measurement circuit along with its measuring conditions revised in compliance with international ITU-T recommendations by identifiably finding out the present problems in balance level measuring instruments as well as their errors in the measurement method now applicable by local telecommunications companies and the Radio Research Laboratory.

  • The findings of a 2017 safety inspection of the Three-story Pagoda from the Goseonsa Temple site in Gyeongju suggested the possibility that the stone for the second story of the pagoda may have been rotated after the pagoda was disassembled for removal from its original site in 1975. The materials from the pagoda were investigated using photographs and other relevant data from both the Japanese colonial period and from around 1975. The analysis found that the materials of the pagoda were not changed after analleged reconstruction in 1943, but that during the process of relocating the pagoda in 1975 the body of the second story was indeed rotated counter clockwise by 90 degrees and one of the four stone elements making up the first-story roof was exchanged with a part from the second-story roof. In order to discover whether the materials had been incorrectly placed, each part of the pagoda was precisely measured and the elements of the roofs were virtually reconstructed using 3D scanning data. The investigation did not find any singularities with in the components of each roof; the four part sof the first-story roof were 75 to 76 centimeters thick and those for the second-story roof were 78 to 79 centimeters thick. The connections between each part of the roofs also appeared natural. This seems to indicate that there was indeed an undocumented repair of the pagoda at some point between its creation and 1943 and an error that took place during this repair was corrected in 1975. In addition, the study suggested a possibility that the body of the second story was rotated counter clockwised to a change in the locations of parts of the two roofs.

  • Space systems are operating in a changing and uncertain space environment and are desired to have autonomous capability for long periods of time without frequent telecommunications from the ground station At the same time. requirements for new set of projects/systems calling for ""autonomous"" operations for long unattended periods of time are emerging. Since, by the nature of space systems, it is desired that they perform their mission flawlessly and also it is of extreme importance to have fault-tolerant sensor/actuator sub-systems for the purpose of validating science measurement data for the mission success. Technology innovations attendant on autonomous data validation and health monitoring are articulated for a growing class of autonomous operations of space systems. The greatest need is on focus research effort to the development of a new class of fault-tolerant space systems such as attitude actuators and sensors as well as validation of measurement data from scientific instruments. The characterization for the next step in evolving the existing control processes to an autonomous posture is to embed intelligence into actively control. modify parameters and select sensor/actuator subsystems based on statistical parameters of the measurement errors in real-time. This research focuses on the identification/demonstration of critical technology innovations that will be applied to Autonomous Spacecraft Health Monitoring/Data Validation Control Systems (ASHMDVCS). Systems (ASHMDVCS).

  • This work examines the identification of stiffness reduction in damaged reinforced concrete bridges under moving loads, and carries out the performance assessment after repairing using advanced composite materials. In particular, the change of stiffness in each element before and after repairing, based on the Microgenetic algorithm as an advanced inverse analysis, is described and discussed by using a modified bivariate Gaussian distribution function. The proposed method in the study is more feasible than the conventional element-based method from computation efficiency point of view. The validity of the technique is numerically verified using a set of dynamic data obtained from a simulation of the actual bridge modeled with a three-dimensional solid element. The numerical examples show that the proposed technique is a feasible and practical method which can inspect the complex distribution of deteriorated stiffness although there is a difference between actual bridge and numerical model as well as uncertain noise occurred in the measured data.

  • Although navigation systems and automatic identification technologies are in use for nautical safety of ocean vessels, ship collisions are increasing due to the growing number of overseas transportations. Since these accidents are mostly caused by the watch officers and crews' human mistakes, it is essential to develop a new set of systems to prevent such misfortunes. Therefore, we suggest a control and management system which monitors crews in order to conduct secure on-board navigation and nautical safety. We also materialized a mobile terminal system and portable device for the crews to check the status of the ship, and we designed a platform for an integrated surveillance system to assure a harmless voyage. Lastly, we attested the mutual connections of integrated safety-related data.

  • PMU based power grid monitoring and control system, WAMAC (Wide Area Monitoring And Control) system is required system design for accurate power data without error and loss through a system-wide. In the paper, we propose system design that measured data from PMU transmitted without loss to PDC and DSM server. and we propose a method to verify the real-time "data has been transmitted accurately". Verification system has been designed to reflect the WAMAC system. Therefore the WAMAC can enhance the reliability of the analysis of the data, and it can monitor lossless real-time trend data.
