This study explored the development and applicability of a classics book reading program in the nursing curriculum as a character education program in order to enhance nursing students' holistic growth and development. An increasing number of universities in Seoul have introduced a classics book reading program as part of the curriculum and some have even designated it as an essential subject. Various such programs have been developed in addition to the regular education curriculum. The following aspects are important to consider in a classics book reading program for nursing students: trust, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, citizenship, endurance, healthy self-concept, and self-sustained growth performance. Classics book selections need to take into account the level of the students, and the efforts should be made to ensure the accuracy of the translation and the level of students' understanding. It is difficult to form character through short-term education. Despite difficulties, character formation requires continued interest and systemic education that will lead nursing students to show inbuilt positive characteristics. Inclusion of character education in the nursing curriculum should be considered with the agreement of the university, based on political decision-making.

Software education enhances creative thinking and critical thinking for students living in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and helps them choose jobs in software-related industries. This study is an example of software education applied to the vulnerable students of the child welfare center to narrow the software gap and achieve the equity in education. This education was conducted in Unplugged activity, Entry coding, and Physical computing classes for 170 students from 20 institutions in South Chungcheong Province, North Chungcheong Province, and Daejeon city in Korea. The curriculum utilized a total of four types of student and teacher level materials, with a total of 10 hours of classes per child welfare center. In addition, the surveys of the students and institutions confirmed that this education influenced their interest in software education and their desire for continuous software education.

서울대 물리교육과에서 마이크로웨이브 소자에 관한 공동연구를 위해 지난 98년 12월 한국에 온 중국 과학자 Baoju Jia박사는 현재 박건식 교수팀과 함께 광대역에서 전자파를 발생하는 진행파관에 대한 연구를 계속하고 있다. 91년부터 중국전자과학기술대 교수로 재직해온 Baofu Jia박사는 "한국에서는 중국과는 달리 대부분의 연구과제가 일상생활과 밀접한 관계가 있어 연구결과를 시장에 쉽게 연결할 수 있는 장점이 있다."고 말한다.

파렛트는 물류의 기본이다. 아시아 파렛트 표준화를 실현하여 아시아 통합물류시스템을 구축하면 아시아 물류선진화를 통하여 역내 물류효율화는 물론 무역발전에 크게 기여할 것이다. (사)한국파렛트컨테이너협회는 지난 2002년부터 본 사업에 착수하여 2006년에 APSF(Asia Pallet System Federation) 창립 운영과 AULS(Asia Unit Load School) 교육활동으로 아시아 전역에 많은 물류전문인력을 양성하여 왔으며 앞으로도 계속 이어나가 아시아 일관수송용 표준파렛트를 통한 아시아통합물류시스템을 성공적으로 구축할 것이다.

우리나라의 기업들도 조만간에 EDPS의 도입문제에 당면하지 않을 수 없다. EDPS의 도입을 위해서는 전문적인 지식과 경험을 갖고 충분한 사전연구와 긴 준비기간을 요하는 만큼 문제에 직면해서 도입을 서두른다면 이미 늦어버린다. 이 글은 그러한 의미에서 EDPS의 도입 그 자체보다는 도입을 위한 준비단계에서의 기본방향과 원칙을 제시하기 위해서 이 분야에 관심있는 경영자들을 위해 EDPS의 윤곽(outline)과 컴퓨터 시스팀의 기능과 초기단계에서의 교육과 훈련의 중요성을 강조하는데 끝이었다. 따라서 EDPS 도입의 실제와 구체적인 접근방법(approach) 그리고 이에 수반하는 데이터의 정비, 시스팀 분석과 설계, 프로그램 개발 등 기술적이고 전문적인 부분에 대해서는 실무자가 당면하는 문제이므로 주제와 수준을 달리하여 다음 기회에 계속하기로 하고 이 글에서는 생략하였다.
