다방향 불규칙파랑에 의한 케이블과 정체시스템의 반응 (Response of Cable-Buoy Systems to Directional Random Waves)

  • 해양구조물의 케이블 반응 분석을 위한 다방향 파람 스펙트라의 수치모델이 조사되었다. 여러 형태의 전파모델을 파랑으로 인한 물입자의 흐름과 계류시스템을 예측하기 위해 사용하였다. 케이블에 작용하는 수동역학적 파력은 케이블의 경사에 평행한 방향과 접선방향에서의 항력과 관성력을 고려한 Morison 공식에 의해 평가되었다. 변위와 속도, 궤적, 위상면의 반응, 그리고 장력을 고려한 다방향 불규칙 파랑의 수치해석에 의하여 부체의 tether pc와 anchor point에서 계류시스템 케이블의 반응을 나타내었다. 서로 다른 항력 계수와 다양한 유의 파고, 그리고 선택된 파랑계수들이 이 분석에 고려되었다. 예제에서 고려된 특정 시스템을 통하여 파랑의 전파함수계수와 항력계수 뿐만 아니라 파랑의 주기와 높이가 케이블-부체시스템의 동적반응에 중요한 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다.

DP보조계류시스템의 위치제어를 위한 격자 기반의 제어목표점 선정 전략 (Grid-Based Set Point Generation Strategy for Position Control of Dynamic Positioning Assisted Mooring System)

  • Unlike typical a dynamic positioning (DP) system, a DP-assisted mooring system must determine a set point (SP) that can ensure a mooring tension safety range to prevent an excessive increase in mooring tension. In this paper, a new algorithm for determining the SP is suggested in order to reduce the tension on all the mooring lines. To determine the SP, a working area around the vessel is represented by a rectangular grid. Thus, the size of the grid area is limited considering the offset of a vessel with a mooring system. At each grid's nodes, the resultant tension from all the mooring lines is estimated using the time history of the tension and vessel's position. The results of static analyses for each grid position are used to estimate the global tension. Consequently, the SP is automatically selected as a position satisfying criterion for minimizing the total tension. In order to validate the suggested algorithm, a motion simulation with the control system in the time domain and a discussion of the results are presented.

약 비선형 파랑에 대한 연직 2차원 부방파제의 동수역학적 해석 (Hydrodynamic Analysis of Two-dimensional Floating Breakwater in Weakly Nonlinear Waves)

  • 본 연구에서는 포텐셜 이론, 섭동법, 경계요소법에 근간을 둔 이차의 시간영역 수치모델을 개발하고 이를 이용하여 폰툰형 부방파제의 성능을 평가하였다. 다양한 설계조건에 대하여 파력, 운동변위, 자유수면고, 투과율 등의 변화를 고찰하였으며, 파랑의 약 비선형성이 방파제의 동수역학적 특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 주안점을 두었다. 수치모의 수행 결과, 이차의 성분 파는 동유체력, 계류장력, 운동변위에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 분석되었으나, 파랑의 약 비선형성이 투과율에 미치는 영향은 매우 작아 선형해석만으로도 파랑제어효율을 평가할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 파랑제어효율이 우수한 수심과 흘수의 비, 파수와 폭과의 관계 등을 제시하였다.

  • An experimental method to investigate the dynamic characteristics of buoys in extreme environmental condition is established. Because the buoy model requires a resonable size for accurate experiment, the test condition in model basin that satisfies the similarity law is hardly compatible with capability of test facilities. It is suggested that the linear wave component that is unable to satisfy similarity is separated with others. The model experiment is carried out with mitigated condition for the linear wave components while others including wave drift, current and wind are keeping the similarities. Then, the result can be extrapolated to give the dynamic behavior of buoys n extreme condition because linear wave component is solely responsibly to oscillatory buoy motion and other environmental components are applied as a initial tension. The similarity for current and wind conditions is viewed as equivalence of restoring forces. The validity of proposed method is examined with different types of standard ocean buoys and it indicates that the linearity of measured characteristics is assured with a limitation of resonable distance between test and estimated wave conditions.

유연막 방파제에 의한 경사파의 산란 (Scattering of Oblique Waves by an Inanite Flexible Membrane Breakwater)

  • 본 연구에서는 PVC나 PU와 같은 유연성이 있는 유연막 방파제와 임의의 입사각을 갖는 파의 상호작용문제를 다루었다. 유연막 방파제에 작용하는 파랑하증을 구하기 위하여 고유함수전개법(eigen-function expansion method)을 사용하였다. 이때 유연막의 변형이 유체장에 미치는 영향은 경계조건식으로부터 표현된다. 경계조건식에서 유연막의 변형은 막 방정식을 풀어 구한다. 계산 예로 유연막에 작용하는 장력과 계류삭의 강성계수 그리고 유연막의 높이를 변화시키면서 투과율과 반사율의 차이를 비교하였고, 입사각도의 변화에 따른 방파 효과의 차이를 살펴보았다. 결론적으로 유연막 구조물을 적절히 설계한다면 미래의 훌륭한 방파제로 활용이 가능하다고 여겨진다.

부유식 다수 풍력 발전기에 작용하는 비대칭 공력 하중의 영향 (Influence of Asymmetric Aerodynamic Loading on Multiple Unit Floating Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • The present study developed a numerical simulation tool for the coupled dynamic analysis of multiple turbines on a single floater (or Multiple Unit Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (MUFOWT)) in the time domain, considering the multiple-turbine aero-blade-tower dynamics and control, mooring dynamics, and platform motions. The numerical tool developed in this study was designed based on and extended from the single-turbine analysis tool FAST to make it suitable for multiple turbines. For the hydrodynamic loadings of floating platform and mooring-line dynamics, the CHARM3D program developed by the authors was incorporated. Thus, the coupled dynamic behavior of a floating base with multiple turbines and mooring lines can be simulated in the time domain. To investigate the effect of asymmetric aerodynamic loading on the global performance and mooring line tensions of the MUFOWT, one turbine failure case with a fully feathered blade pitch angle was simulated and checked. The aerodynamic interference between adjacent turbines, including the wake effect, was not considered in this study to more clearly demonstrate the influence of the asymmetric aerodynamic loading on the MUFOWT. The analysis shows that the unbalanced aerodynamic loading from one turbine in MUFOWT may induce appreciable changes in the performance of the floating platform and mooring system.

섬유로프 계류시스템의 크리프 효과가 부유체의 운동응답 및 계류선의 장력 변화에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Creep Effect of Synthetic Fiber Rope Mooring System on Motion Response of Vessel and Tension of Mooring Line)

  • Growing demand and rapid development of the synthetic fiber rope in mooring system have taken place since it has been used in deep water platform lately. Unlike a chain mooring, synthetic fiber rope composed of lightweight materials such as Polyester(polyethylene terephthalate), HMPE(high modulus polyethylene) and Aramid(aromatic polyamide). Non-linear stiffness and another failure mode are distinct characteristics of synthetic fiber rope when compared to mooring chain. When these ropes are exposed to environmental load for a long time, the length of rope will be increased permanently. This is called 'the creep phenomenon'. Due to the phenomenon, The initial characteristics of mooring systems would be changed because the length and stiffness of the rope have been changed as time goes on. The changed characteristics of fiber rope cause different mooring tension and vessel offset compared to the initial design condition. Commercial mooring analysis software that widely used in industries is unable to take into account this phenomenon automatically. Even though the American Petroleum Institute (API) or other classification rules present some standard or criteria with respect to length and stiffness of a mooring line, simulation guide considers the mechanical properties that is not mentioned in such rules. In this paper, the effect of creep phenomenon in the fiber rope mooring system under specific environment condition is investigated. Desiged mooring system for a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit(MODU) with HMPE rope which has the highest creep is analyzed in a time domain in order to investigate the effects creep phenomenon to vessel offset and mooring tension. We have developed a new procedure to an analysis of mooring system reflecting the creep phenomenon and it is validated through a time domain simulation using non-linear mooring analysis software, OrcaFlex. The result shows that the creep phenomenon should be considered in analysis procedure because it affects the length and stiffness of synthetic fiber rope in case of high water temperature and permanent mooring system.

해상 풍력 발전기 리프팅 해석을 위한 해상 크레인 멀티 붐 모델링 (Modeling of Multi-Boom Floating Crane for Lifting Analysis of Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • 본 논문에서는 해양 풍력발전기를 해상 크레인으로 리프팅하기 위해 두 개의 탄성 붐을 가진 해상 크레인을 모델링 하고 동적 거동을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 운동 방정식은 강체와 탄성체가 포함된 다물체계 동역학을 기반으로 구성하였다. 외력으로는 유체정역학 힘, 규칙파에 의한 유체동역학 힘, 와이어로프의 장력, 계류력, 그리고 중력이 고려되었다. 두 개의 탄성 붐을 사용한 시뮬레이션 결과는 탄성 붐 한 개를 사용한 경우와 비교하여 모델의 타당성을 검증하였다. 5-MW(megawatt)급 해양 풍력 발전기를 해상 크레인이 리프팅하는 경우에 대해 동적 거동을 시뮬레이션하고 그 결과를 분석하였다.
