계량서지학이 도서관 정보학 분야에 응용된 지 20년이 지난 지금, 이론 및 실무에 남긴 발전적 기여를 고찰함과 동시에, 컴퓨터를 비롯한 정보기술의 발달로 계량서지학의 가치와 중요성은 한층 더 폭넓게 인지되고 있다. 본 연구는 계량서지학의 개념 정리와 그 특성을 분석함으로써 다양한 이론적 근거 및 장$\cdot$단점을 파악하여 향후 연구방향 설정에 기초를 제시함을 그 목적으로 한다. 문헌구조를 분석하는 군집분석(cluster analysis), 동시인용분석(co-citation analysis), 인용문맥분석 (citation context analysis), 다차원축적기법(multidimensional scaling technique) 등에 대한 최근의 연구 동향 및 추이를 분석함으로써 도서관 실무 혹은 정보시스팀에 계량서지학의 실제 응용을 제시하였다. 아울러, 계량서지학의 3대법칙-Lotka's law, Brandford's law, Zipf's law-의 발달 단계, 상관관계 및 응용분야를 연구함으로써 전반적인 도서관 관리와 이론정보학의 연구방향을 설정하고 있다.

The field of bibliometrics and its applications are extensive. This paper deals with firstly the origin and development as well as definition of bibliometrics, secondly the research areas and basic laws in the field, thirdly the various techniques used in bibliometric analyses according to the fundamental bibliometric data : publications. references and citations, and producers of scientific publications, and finally the applications of bibliometric techniques, including those in librarianship and information management, and those in the study of science and scientists.

Recently, some bibliometric researchers tried to use the centrality analysis methods and the centrality measures which are standard tools in social network analysis. However the traditional centrality measures originated from social network analysis could not deal with weighted networks such as co-citation networks. In this study. new centrality measures for analyzing bibliometric networks with link weights are suggested and applied to three real network data, including an author co-citation network, a co-word network, and a website co-link network. The results of centrality analyses in these three cases can be regarded as Promising the usefulness of suggested centrality measures, especially in analyzing the Position and influence of each node in a bibliometric network.

This study aims to investigate bibliometric services practices of foreign libraries by service types and suggest practical considerations for Korean libraries wishing to implement bibliometric services. Through the examination of previous research and library websites, nine types of bibliometric services were identified under two broad categories - education & consulting services and research evaluation & research trend services. According to the service types, a wide range of bibliometric services activities were analyzed and described. Recommendations from the study for service development include: building an institutional repository for scholarly output; developing subject guides and education programs at the initial phase of service and providing more advanced services such as consulting and analysis services at the later phase; identifying the potential service needs of researcher groups.

학문은 다양한 이론적 배경을 토대로 시대적 환경에 적응하여 발전한다. 즉, 서로의 영역을 공유하면서 새로운 이론을 창출하고 실제로 이를 응용하고 있는 것이다. 계량서지학, 계량과학학, 문헌과학학등으로 일컫고 있는 계량정보학은 문헌의 분석을 위해 수량학적 방법으로 적용하여 연구하는 학문으로, 활발히 연구되어 응용되고있는 분야는 텍스트검색시스템, OPACs, 비디오텍스시스템, 하이퍼텍스트시스템, CD-ROM, 온라인 정보서비스, 전자출판, 전자우편, 케이블 TV 등의 전자정보서비스 분야이다. 본 연구에서는 계량정보학의 사적변천과 연구영역, 그 응용과 실제를 고찰하였다.

In this study, we aimed to identify the types of acknowledgments in Korean LIS journal articles and to find out whether there are differences in the bibliometric characteristics of journal articles based on the types of acknowledgments. For the analysis, the acknowledgments, references, and citation counts of 2,143 articles published in four representative journals in the field of library and information science in Korea for nine years from 2013 to 2021 were obtained as data. We analyzed the contents of 1,433 acknowledgments in 1,311 articles (61.2% of all articles) to divide them into types and then examined the bibliometric characteristics of each type of article. The acknowledgment types were broadly divided into the 'ethics' type (avoiding duplicate publication) and 'thanks' type, which were further subdivided into 9 and 10 types, respectively. We examined the number of references, recency of references, and citations as bibliometric characteristics, and found that all of these characteristics differed between the types of acknowledgements.

연구개발에 종사하는 연구자나 연구기획자들은 미래에 어떤 기술 또는 연구 분야가 각광을 받을지 파악하기 위해 정보를 수집하거나 분석한다. 그러나 방대한 정보 중에서도 정말 필요한 정보를 단시간내에 효과적으로 수집하기는 쉽지 않다. 기술기획이나 연구기획의 경우 현재의 연구동향이나 현황을 빠른 시간안에 정확히 파악하는 것이 주된 관심사이며, 이것을 지원해 줄 수 있는 연구방법론 중 하나가 계량서지학이다. 본 연구는 계량서지적 분석결과를 효과적으로 이해할 수 있도록 시각화 기법을 이용한 정보분석 방법론을 다룬다. 발표동향 분석, 공동연구네트워크분석, 수준지수분석, 특허인용네트워크를 통한 인용트리분석 등을 이용하여 전자종이(e-Paper)기술분야에 대해 분석하였다. 본 연구는 정보분석에 있어 비전문가라도 신속하게 정보분석 결과를 획득할 수 있도록 KISTI에서 개발한 정보분석시스템인 KnowledgeMatrix S/W와 이를 응용한 S/W를 활용한 방법론을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 사용한 방법론들은 실제로 연구사업에 활용하고 있거나 활용가능성이 매우 높은 방법론을 이용하였기 때문에 향후에도 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단한다.

With the development of methodologies, there are also the researches for the concrete item selection for selecting the future emerging researches and technologies. In this paper, we use scientometrics for that purpose in the sectors of construction and transportation. In our scientometric analysis, we use Scopus database, top 1% cited papers, bibliographic coupling, cosine coefficient, and hierarchical clustering and then carry additional experts verification on our results. We try to show the detailed process of scientometric analysis and its possibility as objective methodologies to select the future emerging researches and technologies.

As a first step in developing a more effective and robust approach to faculty research performance assessment, this study analyzed the existing faculty research assessment methods by comparing Korean universities' research evaluation standards, National Research Foundation of Korea's (KRF) standard for assessing research proposals, and various bibliometric measures. The study data included research evaluation standards of KRF along with 27 Korean universities with Library and Information Science (LIS) department, and the publication data of 183 LIS faculties in Korean universities from 2001 to 2015, which consisted of 3,863 papers 16,978 citations. After the comparative analysis of research evaluation standards, the study examined the rankings of institutions and faculty produced by applying the collected standards and bibliometric metrics to the publication data. The study showed that Korean university standards for research evaluation, which aim to consider both productivity and impact of faculty research, differ from similar bibliometric measures such as h-index, and the difference could significantly impact the assessment of faculty research performance.

This study aimed at analyzing journals and index terms, authors of the reformed theology and evangelicalism, neutral theological position by using bibliometrical analyzing methods. The analyzing methods are average linkage and neighbor centralities, profile cosine similarities. Especially, when analyzing the relationship between authors, we interpreted the research topic by finding the key shared index terms between the authors. In the journal analysis results, 9 journals were largely clustered together in the two clusters of the reformed theology and evangelicalism, but Presbyterian Theological Quarterly that is thought to be a reformed journal was clustered in evangelical cluster. In the index terms analysis results of the clusters, the reformed theology and evangelicalism were key words representing the two clusters. In the authors' analysis results, we had 9 clusters and the Presbyterian theologian studying the reformed theology had the four clusters and the non-Presbyterian theologian had the 5 clusters. Therefore, we consistently had the two clusters of the reformed theology and evangelicalism in all the analysis of the journals and the index terms, the authors.
