A Study on the Optimization of Ply Angles for Composite Tube using Design of Experiments (실험계획법을 이용한 복합재 경통 적층각의 최적 설계에 관한 연구)

  • Composite has become one of the most frequently used material for a tube of satellite camera due to its attractive characteristics. However, laminated composites can be weakened by delamination which comes from interlaminar stress. Such failure mode cause structural instability of the camera as well as degradation of optical quality. Therefore composite tube should be robust in delamination. Also, composite tube should have high stiffness, sufficient high natural frequency and small coefficient of thermal expansion. The design procedures presented in this paper are based on design of experiments. The experiments for mechanical analysis are designed by the tables of orthogonal arrays. In order to manipulate the various mechanical properties systematically, multiple-attribute decision making(MADM) is employed. Through analysis of variance and F-test, the critical design variables which have dominant influences on mechanical performance are determined. Finally improved ply angles for composite tube are determined.

Optimal Electron Beam Characteristics by Lenses Analysis Using Scanning Electron Microscopy (주사전자현미경 렌즈의 해석을 통한 최적의 빔 특성 연구)

  • This paper presents a design method for optimizing the focused beam characteristics, which are mainly determined by the condenser lenses in a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) design. Sharply reducing the probe diameter of electron beams by focusing the condenser lens (i.e., the rate of condensation) is important because a small probe diameter results in high-performance demagnification. This study explored design parameters that contribute to increasing the SEM resolution efficiently using lens analysis and the ray tracing method. A sensitivity analysis was conducted based on those results to compare the effects of these parameters on beam focusing. The results of this analysis on the design parameters for the beam characteristics can be employed as basic key information for designing a column in SEM.

  • Strucutral and hygrothermal analysis for a composite tube is carried out in this study, that provides critical parameters for the design of a highly dimensionally stable space telescope. Carpet plots for laminate effective engineering constants are generated and used for the best tube lay-ups with high elastic modulus and highly insensitive to thermal and moisture expansion, which is essential for maintaining optical alignment of opto-mechanical system under random force applied during a launch campaign and orbital thermal load. Despace in the longitudinal direction under hygrothermal load of the tubes constructed with the selected lay-ups is calculated for the validation of lay-up designs on the dimensionalstability. Dynamic analysis is also carried out to feature the resonant behaviour. A zig-zag triangular element accurately representing through thickness stress variations for laminated structures is developed in this study and incorporated into the structural and hygrothermal analysis.

  • It is not efficient and scarcely out of the question to use commercial expensive electron beam lithography system widely used for semiconductor fabrication process for the manufacturing application field of various devices in the small business scope. Then scanning electron microscope based electron beam machining system is maybe regarded as a powerful model can be used for it simply. To get a complete suite of thus proper system, column unit build up with several electo-magnetic lens is necessarily required more than anything else to modify scanning electron microscope. In this study, various components included several electro-magnetic lens and main body which are essentially constructed for column unit are designed and manufactured. And this established column unit will be used for next connected study in the development step of scanning electron microscope based electron beam machining system.

  • 한국천문연구원은 우주물체 전자광학 감시체계 기술개발 사업을 통해 자국위성의 추적감시를 위해 0.5m 광시야 감시관측소 국제 네트워크(OWL : Optical Wide-Field patroL)를 구축할 예정이다. OWL 시스템의 설계 검증을 위해 시험모델을 개발하였고, 연구소 내에 테스트베드에 설치하여 종합적인 테스트를 수행하고 있다. 2012년 11월 상세설계 검토회의(CDR)를 수행하여 해외 설치할 서브시스템들의 설계를 확정 하였다. 현재 테스트 베드에서는 마운트와 컨트롤 시스템의 성능을 시험하기위해 10인치 RC 대체 경통으로 테스트 관측을 수행하였고, 3월에 납품한 proto-type 경통을 부착하여 시험관측 중에 있다. 시험 관측으로 획득한 영상들과 시스템의 개발 진행사항을 논의 하고자 한다.

대구경 광학탑재체 광구조부의 길이 안정성 측정장치

  • 대구경 고해상도 광학탑재체의 광구조부는 주반사경과 부반사경 등을 포함한 주요 광학부품들과 검출기를 포함한 초점면 조립부 등을 고정 지지해주는 부분으로, 발사시 전달되는 진동 및 우주 열환경하에서의 길이 안정성을 광학성능 범위내로 유지하여야 한다. 광학탑재체의 성능에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것은 주반사경과 부반사경의 광축방향의 길이 안정성으로, 광학탑재체의 작동 온도범위 내에서 수 마이크로미터 내외로 안정성이 요구된다. 이를 실현하기 위하여 주반사경과 부반사경의 간격은 열 및 흡습에 둔감한 탄소섬유 강화수지 복합재로 되어 있는 경통 구조물로 설계, 제작된다. 제작된 경통구조물의 길이 안정성을 검증하기 위해서는 별도의 정밀 측정장치가 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 길이 안정성 측정장치에 대해 기술한다. 온도에 대해 변화가 거의 없는 (CTE<0.1ppm/K) Zerodur 소재의 막대 구조물을 기준 스케일로 삼았고, 이를 지지하기 위해 Invar 소재의 구조물을 사용 하였다. 주반사경의 베젤부위와 부반사경의 접속부위의 변위 변화를 세점에서 측정하여 길이 안정성을 측정할 수 있게 하였다.

  • Noise of digital camera has been noticeable to its users. Particularly, noise of a barrel assembly module in zoom in/zoom out operation is recorded while taking a video. Reduction of barrel noise becomes crucial but there are not many studies on noise of digital camera due to its short history of use. In this study, experiment-based analyses are implemented to identify sources of noise and vibration because of complexity and compactness of the barrel system. Output noise is acquired in various operation conditions using synchronization for spectral analysis. Noise sources of a barrel assembly in zoom operating are first identified by the comparison with gear frequency analysis and then correlation analysis between noise and vibration is applied to confirm the generation path of noise. Analysis on noise transfer characteristic of zoom module is also carried out in order to identify the most contributing components. One of possible countermeasures of noise in zoom operating is investigated by an experimental approach.
