CP(Counterpropagation) 알고리즘은 Kohonen의 경쟁 네트워크와 Grossberg의 아웃스타(outstar) 구조의 결합으로 이루어진 것으로 패턴 매칭, 패턴 분류, 통계적인 분석 및 데이터 압축 등 활용분야가 다양하고, 다른 신경망 모델에 비해 학습이 매우 빠르다는 장점이 있다. 하지만 CP 알고리즘은 충분한 경쟁층의 수가 설정되지 않아 경쟁층에서 학습이 불안정하고, 여권 코드와 같이 다양한 패턴으로 그성된 경우에는 패턴들을 정확히 분류할 수 없는 단점이 있다. 그리고 CP 알고리즘은 출력층에서 연결강도를 조정할 때, 학습률에 따라 학습 및 인식 성능이 좌우된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 패턴 인식 성능을 개선하기 위해 다수의 경쟁층을 설정하고, 입력 벡터와 숭자 뉴런의 대표 벡터간의 차이와 숭자 뉴런의 빈도수를 학습률 조정에 반영하여 학습률을 동적으로 조정하여 경쟁층에서 안정적으로 학습되도록 하고, 출력층의 연결강도 조정시 이전 연결 강도 변화량을 반영하는 모멘텀(momentum)학습법을 적용한 개선된 CP 알고리즘을 제안한다. 학습 성능을 확인하기 위해서 실제 여권에서 추출된 개별 코드를 대상으로 실험한 결과, 본 논문에서 개선한 CP 알고리즘이 기존의 CP 알고리즘보다 패턴 분류의 정확성과 인식 성능이 개선된 것을 확인하였다.

This paper analyzes the effects of networking and competition on individual companies' R&D investment, focusing on pharmaceuticals, PCB (Printed Circuit Board), and auto parts sectors. Data were obtained through a survey on firms operating in Seoul, Incheon, and Gyung-gi metropolitan area. The estimation results suggest the networking with other actors in the clusters tends to increase R&D investments of individual firm's. But competition in a cluster tend to reduce individual firm's R&D investment. These results suggest the public policy promoting networking in a cluster could induce private firms' R&D investments and, therefore, should be maintained.

This study assumed the competitive structure based on genre classification for Korean online game market, and carried out the analysis on the degree and characteristics of the competition that appear differently in each sub market classified according to the genre. Analysis result can be summarized as follows. (1) In the view of the total play time, the proportions of the online games in each genre were appeared in the order of "RPG > FPS/RTS > Sports > Arcade/Poker > Go-stop > Board/Racing". (2) In the view of the shares in the play time, the degree of competition between games in the sub market structure of the online games according to the genre was found in the order of "RTS > Racing > FPS/Sports > Go-stop > Poker > Arcade/Board > RPG". The evaluation and interpretation of the high and low of the competition degree are as follows. As the degree of competition is higher, (RTS > Racing > ${\cdots}$) the royalty and the ratio of reusing of the users for the game is lower, and on the other hand, the tendency of replacing and using appeared higher, so the market entry barrier for a new game can be evaluated to be low. Reversely, as the degree of competition is lower, (${\cdots}$ > Arcade/Board > RPG) the royalty and the ratio of reusing of the users for the game is higher, and on the other hand, the tendency of replacing and using appeared lower, so the market entry barrier for a new game can be evaluated to be high.

공정거래법 위반을 이유로 한 처분에 대한 불복율이 증가하는 경향은 규제주체의 측면에서 볼 때, 공정거래법의 수 차례에 걸친 개정으로 규제수단이 다양화되고 규제강도가 강화됨에 따라 공정위가 규제수위를 높여왔고, 규제객체의 측면에서 볼 때, 공정거래법의 수범자들인 사업자들이 종래와 다른 공정위의 강도 높은 규제를 모두 그대로 수긍하기에는 어렵다는 판단을 하였기 때문이 아닌가 생각한다. 동 현상으로 인해 1998년 이래로 서울고등법원에 상당수의 법위반 사건이 접수$\cdot$심리되었고, 서울고등법원의 판결에 불복한 당사자에 의하여 1999년 말부터 현재까지 상당수의 법위반 사건이 대법원에서 다루어지게 되었다.

This study examines the effect of external environments such as technological change and competitive intensity on standardization. It was empirically tested by a Korean sample to verify the validity of the research framework. The empirical result confirms that external environments increase the odds of marketing standardization and technology standardization. The result also indicates that technology change and global standardization are related. The data support that firms facing a high rate of technology change stress marketing and technology standardization. The result also confirms that competitive intensity directly influences marketing standardization.

유럽집행위원회(EC)는 최근 해운동맹에의 독점금지법(경쟁법) 포괄적용 제외를 규정한 규칙(EC 이사회규칙 4056-86)의 폐지를 제안, 세계해운업계의 이목이 집중되고 있다. 이같은 제안이 현실화될 경우, 장기적으로 선복량 과잉현상이 해소될 것으로 예상되나, 운임의 하락압력이 더욱 강해져 해운선사들의 채산성이 악화될 것으로 분석되고 있다. 다음은 EC 내에서 일고있는 해운동맹에 대한 EU 경쟁법 예외적용 폐지 움직임을 정리한 것이다.(편집자 주)
