Isolation of the Antimicrobial Compounds from Omija (Schizandra chinensis) Extract (오미자(Schizandra chinensis) 추출물의 항균물질 분리)

  • The antimicrobial activity of the omija extract shown at pH 6.5, which was observed in the previous research, suggested that there could be active substances other than citric acid and malic acid in the Omija extract. Therefore, attempts were made to identify antimicrobial compounds in the essential oils extracted from Omija. The results of silica gel column chromatography and GC-MS revealed that terpineol and citronellol in the essential oil were the active compounds.

  • Due to the development of endoscopic technology, endoscopic diagnosis and procedures have been actively performed. However, due to the increase in colorectal cancer and the effect of government's early cancer screening project, the number of endoscopic diagnosis and procedures has increased, thus medical accidents such as perforation and bleeding are increasing. Therefore, efforts to reduce such medical accidents are needed. In this paper, we propose a method to provide the direction information of the endoscope and the force applied to the probe in real time. We also propose and evaluate an interpolated complementary filter considering the very slow movement of the endoscope probe. The proposed interpolated complementary filter showed 34.6% and 27.6% performance improvement. The expected user interface for applying the proposed method to the endoscopic system is also presented. This shows that the proposed method is applicable to endoscopy system.

Changes in Acid Production, Sensory Properties of Yogurt and Volatile Aroma Compounds during Lactic Fermentation in Milk added with Egg White Powder (난백분말 첨가 우유에서 젖산균의 산생성, 요구르트의 관능성 및 휘발성 향기 성분의 경시적인 변화)

  • Changes in titratable acidity, pH, viable cells, sensory properties and volatile aroma compounds of yogurt during lactic fermentation in milk added with egg white powder (EWP) have been studied. Milk added with 1% or 2% (W/V) of EWP was fermented with Lactobacillus acidophilus for 30 hr. Acidity of milk added with EAT increased gradually during lactic fermentation for 30 hr, pH dropped gradually and number of viable cells increased and reached stationary phase at about 9 hr. Addition of EWP significantly stimulated acid production by lactic acid bacteria and stimulating effect of 2% EWP addition on acid production was slightly higher than that of 1% EWP addition. Sensory evaluation showed that optimum fermentation time of yogurt prepared from milk added with 2% of EWP was about 15 hr. Gas chromatographic analysis showed that the amount of acetone and butanol decreased gradually and that of ethanol increased until 30 hr. Diacetyl and acetoin were first detected after 6hr and 9hr, respectively, and then increased until 30 hr.

Degradation of Diazinon and Dursban in Submerged Soil (담수양중(湛水壤中) Diazinon 과 Dursban 의 분해(分解)에 관(關)하여)

  • The degradation of two chemicals seem to be clearly affected by soil microbial activity in submerged soil $conditions(30{\pm}1^{\circ}C)$. The Active ingredient of Diazinon disappeared about 5 times faster than that of Dursban. By Applying 300% higher concentrations of both chemicals. under the above soil conditions, however, degradation was retarded by about one day. Some of the metabolites of Diazinon were as follows: 0.0-diethyl phosphorothioate and sulfotep as hydrolytic products, and diazoxon, 0.0-diethyl-0-[2-(1-hydroxy-1, 1-dimethyl)-6-methyl]-pyrimidinyl phosphorothioate and 2-isopropyl-6-methyl-pyrimidine-4-one as degradation products of monooxygenase. But 0. 0-diethyl phosphorothioate was the only methabolite of Dursban.

  • The results of these experiments which were carried out to investigate the effects of rice straw for nitrogen metabolism and acetylene reducing activity, during rice plants were cultured under the percolated condition, are as follows. Azotobacter had tendency to increase with the passage of time, but decreased when rice straw was added. Population change of Clostridia was little as rice grew. Blue green algae increased until heading stage but decreased after the stage. And the application of rice straw increased the number of microorganisms. Thiorhodaceae were never detected, but yeast tended to increase slightly with passing time. Acetylene reducing activity was increased with increasing the number of nitrogen fixing microorganisms, and nitrogen fixing activity was between 0.2kg N/10 a and 0.4kg N/10 a during the growing season of rice plants. Though acetylene reducing activity was promoted by the use of rice plants on non-plant area, but the activity was not clearly affected by percolation.

A Effect on the Maintenance of Chicken Freshness through $\pi$-Water Treatment ($\pi$-Water 처리를 통한 닭고기의 신선도 유지 효과)

  • The present study attempted to obtain a basic data concerning the effect of $\pi$-water, a sort of physiological water, on the maintenance of chicken freshness. The meats were divided into three groups: the control, 20% - dilution, and 5% - dilution groups. In the experiment, the changes of the TBA-values of the meats started to appear on the 3rd day in the control group, and from the 4th day in the 20% - and 5% - dilution groups. The changes of pH didn't appear in the meats as the storage time passed. The number of general bacteria increased rapidly on the 3th day in the control, and on the 5th day in the 20% -, and 5% - dilution groups. As for the color, the meats turned greenish on the 5th day in the control, 7th, in 20% - dilution, and, l0th in the 5%-dilution groups. As for the order, the meats emitted the unpleasant order, such as that of ammonia, on the 3rd day in the control, 5th, in the 20% - dilution, and, 7th, in the 5ft-dilution group.

  • 환경이나 작업부하 등이 인간에게 주는 피로나, stress 또는 쾌, 불쾌감 등의 감성을 평가하기 위한 정신물리학적인 방법의 하나으로 설문지에 의한 주관적인 평가법이 많이 사용되고 있다. 기존의 수작업으로 이루어지던 설문 방식을 자동화하여 PC 기반으로 설문양식을 자동 생성하고 음성을 통해 응답할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 주관평가 자동화 시스템은 주관평가 데이터를 효율적으로 처리를 할 수 있고 음성을 이용함으로써 피험자의 정신적 부담을 경감시키며 생리신호와 주관평가와의 경시적인 변화를 효과적으로 평가할 수 있다. 설문 형식으로는 5점 척도와 7점 척도를 선택하였으며 평가어는 “매우 아니다”∼“매우 그렇다”로 구성되었다. 평가어를 인식함에 있어 좋은 인식률을 얻기 위한 특징벡터의 치수와 기본 프레임 개수를 대상으로 인식실험을 하였다.

  • Naphthalene sulfonated condensatd(NSF) has been widely using for the superplasticizing of ement and concrete. But NSF has a very large mobility loss with elapsed tiom. To retain mobility of NSF during a certain time, maleic anhydride and acrylic acid copolymer(MA) was polymerized and mixed with NSF in order to perpare admixture holding mobility-retention property of cement. By applying this admixture for ement paste, we examined the fluidity and mobility retention property as a function to elapsed time and measured the compressive strength of mortar with curing time. As a result, NSF containing 20wt% of MA showed very excellent fluidity and mobility-retention property. These properties were affected by the added amount of admixture and the ratio of water to cement.

  • Risperidone은 D$_2$-수용체와 HT$_2$-수용체 차단효과를 동시에 지녀, 차세대 항정신분열증 치료제로의 가능성을 보이고 있는 약물이다. 그러나 risperidone의 주대사가 CYPIID1에 의할 가능성이 시사되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 향후 항정신병 치료제의 임상 제 1상 연구의 적정 모형 검토를 위해 risperidone율 모델 약물로 체내 약물의 동태, 내약성 및 약물 유전학적 특성등을 검토하였다. CYPIID1의 대사능을 검정한 12명의 정상 성인(11명: extensive metabolizer, 1명: poor metabolizer)을 대상으로 risperidone 투여 시험(placebo, 1, 2 mg)을 무작위 단일맹검 교차시험으로 시행하였다. 투약후 72시간까지 경시적으로 혈액, 뇨 채취 및 ECG lead II, 혈압/맥박의 변동 등을 측정하고, visual analog scale에 의해 중추신경계 주관적 증상들을 관찰 하였다. 혈장 risperidone 및 그 활성형대사물 9-OH risperidone 및 prolactin 농도는 radioimmunoassay법으로 측정하였다.
