미국 주파수 경매의 경제학적 특성

  • Auctions have been traditionally used to find the current price of goods when little is known about their true value. A special auction methodology, called a 'simultaneous multiple round auction', is available to auction radiofrequency spectrum where all lots are simultaneously on of for over multiple rounds of bidding. This type of auction is especially useful when there are lots that are of essentially equal value and substitutable, except that different bidders may prefer different combinations of lots. By using multiple rounds, a bidder has the opportunity to gather information concerning the value of individual lots and can change strategy by shifting the bidding to another preferred combination if one combination becomes too expensive. Information is released in three main ways during an auction: Bidder Status; High Bids; and Bandwidth Value.

A Reserve Price Generation Agent for an Internet Auction System (인터넷 경매 시스템에서의 낙찰 예정가 자동 생성 에이전트)

  • Commercial internet auction systems have been successfully used recently. In those systems, because reserve prices of auction items are given by sellers only, the success bid rate can be decreased due to the large difference between the reserve price and the normal price. In this paper, we propose an agent that generates reserve prices to sellers based on past auction data and item prices gathered from the web. Through performance experiments, we show that the successful bid rate increases by preventing sellers from making unreasonable reserve prices. Using the pricing agent, we design and implement an XML-based auction system on the web.

A Study on the Mutual Influence of Indicators of the Real Estate Auction Market (부동산 경매시장 지표간의 상호 영향에 관한 연구)

  • If the real estate auction market indicators are relevant and meaningful, they can be meaningful information to the real estate market in connection with general real estate. The purpose of this study is to examine whether time-supply logic is applied in auction market by identifying time series correlations for the number of auctions, the auction rate, and the auction price rate, which are major indicators of real estate auction market. The real estate types were classified into three categories: residential real estate, land, and commercial real estate. The monthly time series of auctions in the metropolitan real estate were compiled for 96 months. Based on this data, the auction market model for each type was established and the mutual influences between the indicators were analyzed. As a result, the supply and demand indicators, the number of auctions and the auction rate, showed the nature of supply and demand according to the supply and demand logic of the market. However, the correlation was high for residential real estate and relatively low for commercial real estate. the auction rate has a long-term impact on price indicators, especially residential real estate, which is quantitatively explanatory and significant. The three auction-related indicators differ in degree, but there is a correlation, especially for residential real estate, which can be useful information for policy making.

  • 본 연구는 기존의 인터넷 경매에서 Auctioneer와 Auction Issuer(AI)의 결탁을 막기 위한 안전하고 효율적인 경매 프로토콜인 blind signature protocol을 제안한다. 제안한 프로토콜에 사용되는 blind signature의 괴는 안전성과 속도면에서 우수한 ECC(Elliptic Curves Cryptosystem)에서 생성한다. 이는 이전의 blind signature키에 사용한 RSA 키사이즈의 정수위에서 구현하는 것 보다 훨씬 암호강도가 세며 속도가 빠르다. 따라서 제안한 프로토콜은 독단적인 Auctioneer의 행동을 막을 수 있으며, Auctioneer와 AI의 결탁이 없는 안전하고 효율적인 인터넷 경매를 할 수 있다.

A Bid Selection Heuristic for Combinatorial Auction (조합 경매에서의 비드 선택 휴리스틱)

  • 조합 경매는 구매자들이 원하는 상품들을 조합해서 입찰할 수 있는 경매다. 그러나 판매자의 이익을 최대로 하는 승자를 결정하는 문제는 NP-complete이다. 분기 한정법(branch and bound)을 사용해서 최적의 승자를 찾을 때, 어떤 비드(bid)를 선택해서 분기할 것인가를 결정해야 한다. 이 때, 비드를 선택하는 휴리스틱이 분기 한정법의 성능을 결정하는 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 논문에서는 조합경매의 승자를 결정하기 위해서 분기 한정법과 Linear Programming을 사용할 때, 분기할 비드와 충돌하는 비드들을 동시에 고려하는 비드 선택 휴리스틱을 제안한다. 실험을 통해서 제시하는 휴리스틱의 성능이 우수함을 보였다.

  • 경매는 인간에 의해 만들어진 복잡한 형태 시장이다. 전자상거래의 확산과 더불어, 많은 인터넷 경매 사이트가 나오고, 최근 경매의 자동화에 대한 연구가 진행 중에 있다. 인간 대신, 에이전트는 상품의 검색, 입찰등을 대신 수행하게 된다. 그러나, 현재의 입찰 알고리즘은 효율적이지 못하다. 본 연구는 통계적 방법을 이용하여 현재의 알고리즘보다 효율적인 알고리즘을 만들고자 한다.

Relationships between the Housing Market and Auction Market before and after Macroeconomic Fluctuations (거시경제변동 전후 주택시장과 경매시장 간의 관계성 분석)

  • It is known that the Real Estate Sales Market and Auction Market are closely interrelated with each other in a variety of respects and the media often mention the real estate auction market as a leading indicator of the real estate market. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the relationships between the housing market and auction market before and after macroeconomic fluctuations using VECM. The period from January 2002 to December 2008, which was before the financial crisis, was set as Model 1 and the period from January 2009 to November 2015, which was after the financial crisis, was set as Model 2. The results are as follows. First, the housing auction market is less sensitive to changes in the housing market than it is to fluctuations in the auction market. This means that changes in the auction market precede fluctuations in the housing market, which shows that the auction market as a trading market is activated. In this respect, public institutions need to realize the importance of the housing auction market and check trends in the housing contract price in the auction market. Also, investors need to ensure that they have expertise in the auction market.

Study on Fairness Consolidation of Real Estate Auctions Secured for Bank NPLs (은행 부실채권(NPL) 담보부동산 경매의 공정성 강화방안 연구)

  • The Global Financial Crisis and introduction of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) urged the banks to strengthen their asset qualities. The banks dispose their non performing loans(NPLs) consistently to maintain a sufficient BIS capital adequacy ratio. Accordingly, the interests in auctions, as a disposal method, of real estates that secured for NPLs are on the increasing. This study suggest an alternative for fairness consolidation of real estate auctions which secured for NPLs. First, the impartial entry barriers for NPL sales markets need to be eliminated for fair bidding competition in auctions for real estate that secured for NPLs. In addition, the portion of NPL disposal by real estate auctions need to be expanded. Second, the asymmetry of trade information in the retail markets of NPLs and the abuse of offset by NPL owners' also should be restricted. The Fairness improvement of NPL trading process and real estate auction process that secured for them would of great use in the protection of bidders. Futhermore, it would also contribute to the revitalization of real estate auction markets and the resolution of NPLs of banks through fair disposal of distressed assets.

Balancing the Tradeoffs Between Exploration and Exploitation (탐색 (Exploration)과 이용(Exploitation)의 상반관계의 균형에 관한 연구)

  • As auctions become popular, developing good agent bidding strategies has been an important focus in agent-based electronic commerce research. Especially for the continuous double auctions where no single dominant strategy is known, the agent bidding strategy has practical significance. This paper introduces an adaptive agent strategy for the countinuous double auction. The central idea is to let the agent figure out at run time when the sophisticated strategy (called the p-strategy) is beneficial and when a simpler strategy is better. Balance between exploration and exploitation is achieved by using a heuristic exploration function that trades off the expected profits and the number of tries of each strategy. We have experimentally evaluated the performance of the adaptive strategy in a wide variety of environments. The experiment results indicate that the adaptive strategy outperforms the plain p-strategy when the p-strategy performs poorly, while it performs similar to the p-strategy when the p-strategy dominates the other simple strategies.
