DTN Routing Protocol Utilizing Underwater Channel Properties in Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (수중 무선센서네트워크에서 수중채널의 특성을 활용한 DTN 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Recently, the ocean field researches such as offshore plant, ocean survey and underwater monitoring systems are garnering the attention from both academy and industry. However, the communication in underwater environment is very difficult because of the unique irregular features in water. This is the reason that the application of terrestrial protocols to the water environment is not proper. This paper proposes a routing algorithm that can enhance communication reliability by utilizing channel properties in underwater environment. We address two problems that lead to the poor communication performance, signal attenuation and multi-path problem in water. Overcoming these problems, the proposed algorithm ensures high packet delivery ratio and low transmission delay. Also, this paper evaluates the performance through simulation.

  • Nowadays, Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS) which is the new concept of positioning system has been developed because of satisfaction human's intelligent desire and rapid science development. GNSS which is represented by GPS provides 3-Dimension positioning information not expensively in whenever, wherever. The industry of positioning information has extending civil market widely as well as military market. So GNSS is running the role of society infra structure including car and airborne navigation, civil engineering, GIS resource, telematics and LBS, and so on. As USA removes the SA(Selective Availability), GPS has monopolizing the market and other countries have been depended on GPS, absolutely. In this paper, the author developed the software for analysis of influence using next generation, Galileo system. The local analysis was performed according to positioning mode. And GPS/Galileo combined system can implement positioning in the worst mask environment like urban cannon.

  • There are many risks in constructing tunnel-structure. To prevent these risks from occurring and secure safety, the precise and rapid survey of inside displacement of the tunnel is required. But nowadays the measurement of the crown settlement, convergency, and surface settlement depends on general kinds of method which use total station or level. In the way to provide data about maintaining structure according to recent improvement and progress of measuring technology, 3D laser scanning is used. It solves the problem of reliability in measuring displacement of existing structure, provides material that enables to estimate shape change of structure visually, and makes it possible to deliberate speedy countermeasure. By this three dimensioning it is possible to make efficient use of structure maintenance and field measurement.

  • The paleoseismological importance of the Yangsan fault zone was examined by historical earthquake data, aerial photograph, and trench survey of the area. Occurrences of great earthquakes during the historical time indicate that the Yangsan and/or Ulsan fault have been active during the late Quaternary and generated historical events. Geomorphological evidences of the recent fault activity are clearly shown both in the northern segment (Yugye-ri, Tosung-ri and Naengsu-ri areas) and in the southern segment (Eonyang to Tongdosa areas) of the Yangsan fault. The main Yangsan fault is characterized by fault gouges and NNE-SSW lineaments. The reverse faulting in the Yugye-ri area generated about three-mater displacement of the lower terrace deposits. On the other hand, a major strike-slip movement with a minor component of 5-12 m vertical displacement was identified by the offset of the higher terrace surface in the Eonyang area.

  • As underwater environment monitoring system's interest has increased, the research is proceeding about underwater acoustic sensor network. Underwater sensor network can be applicable to many fields, such as underwater environment monitoring, underwater resource exploration, oceanic data collection, military purposes, etc. It is essential to define the PHY-MAC protocol for revitalization of the underwater acoustic sensor network which is available utilization in a variety of fields. However, underwater acoustic sensor network has to implement by consideration of underwater environmental characteristics, such as limited bandwidth, multi-path, fading, long propagation delay caused by low acoustic speed. In this paper, we define frequency of adjusted PHY protocol, network topology, MAC protocol, PHY-MAC interface, data frame format by consideration of underwater environmental characteristics. We also present system configuration of our implementation and evaluate performance based on our implementation with test in real underwater field.

  • A lot of small-scale reservoirs that is extravagant in whole country are controlled state or real conditionthat correct data about the practice contents is not equipped all up to now. In this study, YungNam districts that region Gyeong-Ju city reservoir is distributed much of when flow speedily choose 23 peace among 73 small scale reservoir and experimented. Acquired data every 5 seconds, and user E/S and user value TS for orthocenter to 1 second interval and executes present ondition measurement using RTK-GPS. Could was wave and state that reservoir of 15 places (about 65%) gives protective care that do 3D modelling with acquired data, and now correct contents about reservoir state past through comparative analysis with data. Also, area of full water and wave that analyze effective storage and area of full water of 23 places reservoir could know that 20.63%, effective storage decreased as 3.34%. I wish to contribute about analysis about present reservoir state through this and method the adminstration direction.

Active Fault Study of the Yangsan Fault System and Ulsan Fault System, Southeastern Part of the Korean Peninsula

  • Since the key issue that 'the Yangsan fault is seismically an active fault" was raised in 1983, thegeological and geomorphological studies of active fault have been made by many researchers. These studies are mainly focused on the Yangsan fault system(YFS) and Ulsan fault system(UFS) due to many historical earthquakes occurred in this area. There are two different types of active faultings under the ENE-WSW horizontal stress field in the southeastern part of the Korean Peninsula. The NNE-trending YFS is the most prominent right-lateral strike-slip fault and has a continuous trace about 200 km long. Some part of this system has been active during the late Quaternary with evidences clearly recognized on both the northern (Yugyeri and Tosung-ri areas) and southern parts (Eonyang to Tongdosa area) of the YFS. in the southern part, the estimated vertical slip rate is about 0.02 - 0.07 mm/yr, and the lateral slip rate may be several times larger than the vertical rate. The most recent event occurred prior to deposition of Holocene alluvium, in the northern part, the fault trend locally changes to almost N-S, dips to the east and has reverse movement. The average vertical slip rate is estimated to be less than 0.1 mm/yr. The most recent event probably occurred after 1314 years BP (AD 536). The NNW-SSE (or N-S) trending UFS is a predominantly reverse fault that built up U-ie eastern mountain and has been active during U-ie late Quaternary. The fault trace is not straight but irregularly undulates along the foot of the mountain on the east. From the disturbed terraces along U-ie fault, the average vertical slip rate on U-iis system is estimated to be about 0.08.13mm/yr. The latest event is not well studied, but seems to have occurred after the last glacial maximum in the Malbang fault and 14,000 years BP in the Kalgok fault of the UFS. However, important issues such as fault segmentation, recurrence interval, age of Quaternary deposits need further studies.

  • Recently, as the spatial resolution of satellite and aerial images has improved, various studies using remotely sensed data with high spatial resolution have been conducted. In particular, since the building extraction is essential for creating digital thematic maps, high accuracy of building extraction result is required. In this manuscript, building extraction models were generated using SegNet, U-Net, FC-DenseNet, and HRNetV2, which are representative semantic segmentation models in deep learning techniques, and then the evaluation of building extraction results was performed. Training dataset for building extraction were generated by using aerial orthophotos including various buildings, and evaluation was conducted in three areas. First, the model performance was evaluated through the region adjacent to the training dataset. In addition, the applicability of the model was evaluated through the region different from the training dataset. As a result, the f1-score of HRNetV2 represented the best values in terms of model performance and applicability. Through this study, the possibility of creating and modifying the building layer in the digital map was confirmed.

  • Selecting liquid methane as fuel is a prevailing trend for recent rocket engine developments around the world, triggered by its affordability, reusability, storability for deep space exploration, and prospect for in-situ resource utilization. Given years of time required for acquiring a new rocket engine, a national-level R&D program to develop a methane engine is highly desirable at the earliest opportunity in order to catch up with this worldwide trend towards reusing launch vehicles for competitiveness and mission flexibility. In light of the monumental cost associated with development, fabrication, and testing of a booster stage engine, it is strategically a prudent choice to start with a low-thrust engine and build up space application cases.

  • 해양 관측과 위성 원격탐사를 이용하여 시공간적으로 다양하게 변하는 생태 어장 환경 및 선박 관련 자료를 획득할 수 있다. 이번 연구의 주요 목적은 야간 불빛 위성 자료를 이용하여 광범위한 해역에 대한 어선의 위치 분포를 파악하는 딥러닝 기반 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 제안한 모델의 정확성을 평가하기 위해 야간 조업 어선의 위치를 포함하고 있는 AIS(Automatic Identification System) 정보와 상호 비교 평가 하였다. 이를 위해, 먼저 AIS 자료를 획득 및 분석하는 방법을 소개한다. 해양안전종합시스템(General Information Center on Maritime Safety & Security, GICOMS)으로부터 제공받은 AIS 자료는 동적정보와 정적정보로 나뉜다. 동적 정보는 일별 자료로 구분되어있으며, 이 정보에는 해상이동업무식별번호(Maritime Mobile Service Identity, MMSI), 선박의 시간, 위도, 경도, 속력(Speed over Ground, SOG), 실침로(Course over Ground, COG), 선수방향(Heading) 등이 포함되어 있다. 정적정보는 1개의 파일로 구성되어 있으며, 선박명, 선종 코드, IMO Number, 호출부호, 제원(DimA, DimB, DimC, Dim D), 홀수, 추정 톤수 등이 포함되어 있다. 이번 연구에서는 선박의 정보에서 어선의 정보를 추출하여 비교 자료로 사용하였으며, 위성 자료는 구름의 영향이 없는 깨끗한 날짜의 영상 자료를 선별하여 사용하였다. 야간 불빛 위성 자료, 구름 정보 등을 이용하여 야간 조업 어선의 불빛을 감지하는 심층신경망(Deep Neural Network; DNN) 기반 모델을 제안하였다. 본 연구의결과는 야간 어선의 분포를 감시하고 한반도 인근 어장을 보호하는데 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
