A Study on the Characteristics of Boiling Heat Trausfer of Thermosyphon Heat Exchangers with Various Micro Grooves (마이크로 그루브를 가진 열사이폰 열교환기의 비등열전달 특성에 관한 연구)

  • This study concerns the characteristics of boiling heat transfer in two-phase closed thermosyphons with various micro grooves. A study was carried out with the performance of the heat transfer of the thermosyphon having 60 internal micro grooves in which boiling and condensation occur. A plain thermosyphon having the same inner and outer diameter as the grooved thermosyphon is also tested for comparison. Distilled water, methanol, ethanol have been used as the working fluid. The heat flux and the boiling heat transfer coefficient at the evaporator zone are estimated from the experimental results. The experimental results have been assessed and compared with existing correlations. Imura's and Kusuda's correlation for boiling showed in good agreement with experimental results within ${\pm}20{\%}$ in plain thermosyphon.

  • A-pillar is closely related to safety for the purpose of protecting the bodies of passengers by mitigating the impact that may be caused by the vehicle being overturned while driving. Therefore, the A-pillar should protect these parts from a variety of dynamic loads. This study result is thought to contribute for the strength and durability of A-pillar by designing two types of parts before making this product and analyzing the product which thickness is adjusted for the light weight of vehicle. If this study result is practically applied to the parts of A-pillar in a car, it is considered that the damage can be protected by the durability verification of design. By utilizing the data of analysis and design on the strength and durability of automotive A-pillar in this study, the esthetic sense can be given by being grafted onto the real automotive part.

  • This paper proposes a design plan of short-term temporary housing for the victims by disaster. Also construction workability and residential environment evaluated by mock-up. In particular, in the event of a disaster, victims have lived the auditorium or gymnasium of the nearby school which is an emergency shelter. However, there was a problem of livability. Therefore, it is the purpose of study to provide temporary housing that resides within 30 days. For this purpose, a composite panel with light weight and insulation select to produce mock-up. The mock-up complete in about an hour. This is because it is made only of the composite panels. The composite panels confirm to be easy to load and construct. And mock-up evaluates insulation and waterproofing performance in the laboratory. As a result, Mock-up has insulation and waterproofing performance. This suggests an alternative to short -term temporary housing.

  • The period of the previous multi-core could be helped to improve program performance, based on the development of the hardware. However, one of the core performance enhancements for this encounter limitations and become the common way of multi-core with multiple cores. Modern programming concurrency that improves the conventional method for using threads of the kernel level in order to use the multi-core come to the fore. Using modern lightweight thread concurrency programming is to optimize the benefits of multi-core. Also sharing the absence of available data that can change is a major consideration when writing concurrent code. This paper describes the key considerations when creating a discussion concurrent code, and these issues are being supported in any way in the language of one 'go' of technologies that support the modern concurrency, and even how to write better code concurrency.

Design of Crypto-processor for Internet-of-Things Applications (사물인터넷 응용을 위한 암호화 프로세서의 설계)

  • Recently, the importance for internet of things (IoT) security has increased enormously and hardware-based compact chips are needed in IoT communication industries. In this paper, we propose low-complexity crypto-processor that unifies advanced encryption standard (AES), academy, research, institute, agency (ARIA), and CLEFIA protocols into one combined design. In the proposed crypto-processor, encryption and decryption processes are shared, and 128-bit round key generation process is combined. Moreover, the shared design has been minimized to be adapted in generic IoT devices and systems including lightweight IoT devices. The proposed crypto-processor was implemented in Verilog hardware description language (HDL) and synthesized to gate level circuit in 65nm CMOS process, which results in 11,080 gate counts. This demonstrates roughly 42% better than the aggregates of three algorithm implementations in the aspect of gate counts.

A Study on portable voice recording prevention device (휴대용 음성 녹음 방지 장치 연구)

  • This study is a system development for voice information protection equipment in major meetings and places requiring security. Security performance and stability were secured with information leakage prevention technology through generation of false noise and ultrasonic waves. The cutoff frequency band for blocking the leakage of voice information, which has strong straightness due to the nature of the radio wave to the recording prevention module, blocks the wideband frequency of 20~20,000Hz, and the deception jamming technology is applied to block the leakage of voice information, greatly improving the security. To solve this problem, we developed a system that blocks the recording of a portable smartphone using a battery, and made the installation of a separate device smaller and lighter so that customers do not recognize it. In addition, it is necessary to continuously study measures and countermeasures for efficiently using the output of the anti-recording speaker for long-distance recording prevention.

A Study of Usability of Micro Shell as a Filler for Restoration of Iron Objects (Micro Shell을 이용한 철기 문화재 복원용 충전제의 사용성 연구)

  • Silica-based inorganic fillers for restoration of iron objects have been used for the reduction of thermal expansivity and the improvement of melt flow index. However, the higher the amount of filler is applied, the more degradation of mechanical properties and the yellowing occur, which could cause retreatment of the objects with adding stress to them. Thus, research on not only the quantification of a mixture of resin and filler but also the yellowing should be emphasized. Experiments on mechanical properties were carried out with a silica-based light filler, Micro Shell as a comparison group. The results of the experiment showed Micro Shell reduced the number of occurrences of the yellowing by 34% compared to existing fillers. The value of adhesion and specific gravity was also improved depending on the filler amount. The results of this research indicate the possibility of using Micro Shell as a new filler.

Improvement of evaluation method for impact sound reduction performance of floor coverings (바닥 상부 마감재의 충격음 저감성능에 대한 평가방법 개선)

  • Recently, floor impact sound has become a serious social problem in Korea. There is an increasing need to improve floor impact sound performance using floor covering installed on the floor of apartment houses. KS F ISO 717-2 and KS F 2863 require measurement under conditions in which the resilient material is not installed. But most apartment houses in Korea install resilient materials to reduce floor imapct sound. The performance evaluation method of floor covering should provide reduced performance for use by residents of apartment houses with resilient materials. Therefore, this paper proposes a reduction performance evaluation under the conditions in which a resilient material is installed to verify the performance of floor covering.

  • Natural fiber reinforced composites are emerging as low-cost, lightweight, recyclable, and eco-friendly materials. These are biodegradable and non-abrasive. Due to eco-friendly and biodegradable characteristics of natural fibers, they are being considered as potential candidates to replace the conventional fibers. The chemical, mechanical, and physical properties of natural fibers have distinct features depending upon the cellulose content of the fibers which varies from fiber to fiber. The mechanical properties of composites are influenced mainly by the adhesion between matrix and fibers. Several chemical and physical modification methods of fiber surface were incorporated to improve the tiber-matrix adhesion resulting in the enhancement of mechanical properties of the composites. This paper outlines the works reported on natural tiber reinforced composites with special reference to the type of fibers, polymer matrix, processing techniques, treatment of fibers, and fiber-matrix interface.

  • The development and distribution approach of applications is transitioning from a monolithic architecture to microservices and containerization, a lightweight virtualization technology, is becoming a core IT technology. However, unlike traditional virtual machines based on hypervisors, container technology does not provide concrete security boundaries as it shares the same kernel. According to various preceding studies, there are many security vulnerabilities in most container images that are currently shared. Accordingly, attackers may attempt exploitation by using security vulnerabilities, which may seriously affect the system environment. Therefore, in this study, we propose an efficient automated deployment pipeline design to prevent the distribution of container images with security vulnerabilities, aiming to provide a secure container environment. Through this approach, we can ensure a safe container environment.
