  • 본 논문은 전력기기 중 저압 재폐로(Recloser) 차단기에 대한 FEM을 이용한 조작부 구동메커니즘의 동작특성에 대해 연구하였다. 중 저압 차단기는 크게 차단부와 조작부로 분리할 수 있는데 조작부메커니즘은 동작특성의 영향을 많이 받기 때문에 차단동작특성이 좋고 신뢰성 및 반복성이 우수한 영구자석형 마그네틱 액추에이터를 사용하였다. 그리고, 정확한 동작 특성 해석을 위해 물질의 비선형 특성을 고려하였고, 외부회로와 결합하여 2-D FEM을 통한 전자계 해석을 하였다. 또한, 실험을 통한 최종적인 기계적인 힘과 FEM으로 해석한 액추에이터의 힘을 비교 검증하였다.

The Influence of Negative Skin Friction on Piles in Groups Connected to a Cap (부마찰력이 작용하는 기초판으로 연결된 군말뚝의 거동)

  • Over the years the investigation of behaviour of piles in groups connected to a cap in consolidating soil has attracted far less attention than the study of isolated piles in groups. In this paper, a series of three-dimensional numerical simulations have been performed to study the behaviour of pile groups connected to a cap in consolidating ground. Both elastic no-slip and elasto-plastic slip analyses were considered. Based on the analysis results, when piles were connected to a cap, tensile forces were developed near the pile head at the outer piles. Elastic solution and no-slip analysis over-predicted the tensile force near the pile head for outer piles. Relatively speaking, the number of piles in a group is more important than the pile spacing in terms of the influence of negative skin friction on the pile behaviour. The issue on the development of tensile forces on the pile head at the outer piles is perhaps needed to be carefully considered in the pile design to prevent the damages of the pile-cap connection.

  • The present study covers the optimal design for a lens module in a mobile phone camera by using the design of experiments (DOE) and finite element (FE) analysis. FE analyses are performed to investigate the effect of design parameters on the amount of torque required to assemble a barrel and a housing part. The DOE approach is then performed to optimize the design parameters in order to maintain an appropriate torque with less variations.

A Study on Strength Characteristics of Yieldable Steel Arch Supports (가축성 강재 지보의 강도특성에 관한 연구)

  • The brief results of laboratory and field tests of yieldable steel arches are represented. The test supports were fabricated with three U-sectional beams which are 25.8 kg/m of Glocken profile. The structural analyses of semi-circular and arch supports were conducted to find out shape factor of U beam to be 1.35 and the location of 2nd plastic hinges. Load capacity of arch supports under crown loading were examined as a function of leg length. Yieldable characheristics of test supports were investigated with various bolting torque of connection part. Determination method of bolting torque were also studied. Finally, test supports were installed in-situ with torque of 21 kg .m, which showed a typical yielding procedure.

  • In this study, in order to perform dynamic design of machine tools reasonably and effectively, a method was formulated to be applicable to the structures connected by joints having elasticity and damping by using substructure synthesis method. And to analyze chatter-free performance, a 3 dimensional cutting dynamics theory was used. Computer program package for the dynamic design of machine tools was developed by combining those and spplied to improvement of performance of NC lathe. Also, the optimization in the structural modifications of machine tool substructure was studied by evaluating the effects of the substructural modifications on total system performance.

  • Low vibration characteristics of a vehicle are mainly influenced by the local stiffness of the joint structure beam section. The method of substituting equivalent beam element to spring element for the joint is presented. Formation process of the equivalent beam joint modeling is described in terms of key section properties. To get required dynamic characteristics section properties of the equivalent beam element are set to design variables. The study shows that the equivalent beam joint model can be effectively used for low frequency vibration analysis of a vehicle.

  • In this study, in order to perform dynamic design of machine tools reasonably and effectively, a method was formulated to be applicable to the damped structures connected by joints having elasticity and damping by using substructure synthesis method. And a nonlinear solution method was proposed and it formulates the nonlinear parts by describing functions and uses the reducing transformation matrix by the substructure synthesis method. The results of frequency response analysis of a machine tool, where an NC lathe was partitioned by three parts of spindle, housing and bed-base part and the nonlinearity of bearing parts between spindle and housing was modelled, showed force dependency of the response.

  • 차단기는 전력계통에서 고장이 발생한 경우, 고장전류가 퍼져나가는 것을 방지하고 고장전류에 의해 계통에 연결된 다른 기기들이 손상을 입는 것을 방지하는 전력기기이다. 그 중 진공 차단기는 친환경성과 우수한 절연특성으로 배전급 중.저압용 차단기로 널리 사용되고 있다. 차단기는 크게 조작부와 차단부로 구분되는데 진공 차단기의 조작부 메커니즘은 스프링 구동방식과 영구자석형 마그네틱 액츄에이터(PMA)를 사용하여 구동하는 방식으로 나뉜다. 본 논문에서는 진공차단기의 조작부인 영구자석형 마그네틱 액츄에이터(PMA)의 개방.투입 유지력과 동작특성을 유한요소법을 이용하여 해석하였다. 정밀한 해석을 위해 물질의 비선형성을 고려하였으며, 외부회로와 결합한 전자계 해석을 하였다.

  • 장거리 시스템의 경우에 있어서 기동과 정지 시의 동적하중은 구동부 입력크기의 변화와 구동부간이 기동 시간차이로부터 발생되며, 벨트로 전파되어 장력변화를 일으키고, 과도한 장력의 변화는 인장과 압축의 탄성파로 벨트요소의 응력을 증가시키며, 벨트, 풀리, 아이들러(idler)등의 벨트요소들을 파괴시킨다. 따라서 동적해석에 의한 설계가 필수적으로 요구되어 벨트의 동적거동 해석에 대한 연구가 많이 수행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 벨트 컨베이어 시스템을 집중질량모델(lumped mass model)로 근사하여 모델링하는 방법을 도입하여 세부요소에 대한 운동방정식을 유도하고, 각 요소 모델링을 결합하여 전체 운동방정식을 수립하였으며, 예제 시스템에 적용하여 동적거동을 해석하였다. 예제 시스템에 있어서 기동시의 구동입력을 두 가지 형태의 입력을 이용하였고, 정지시에는 구동부 브레이크가 없는 경우로 정상운전상태에서 순간적으로 구동부의 동력을 제거하는 방법을 적용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통하여 기동시의 구동입력을 적절히 제어하므로 벨트 속도와 장력의 변화를 줄일 수 있는 입력형태를 결정할 수 있었고, 이 때의 테이크업의 운동도 구할 수 있었다.

Strength Prediction of Mechanically Fastened Carbon/Epoxy Joints (탄소/에폭시 복합재료 구조물의 기계적 결합에 대한 강도 예측)

  • An investigation was peformed to study the predicting the joint strength of mechanical fasteners. Bearing failure is most important failure mode for designing joint. So in this study, the prediction method in consideration with bearing failure was chosen. In the proposed method, the characteristic length is combined with the Yamada-Sun failure criterion, Tsai-Hill failure criterion and characteristic length for Tension and Compression is determined from investigation. Especially the length of compression is determined from the "bearing failure test" that newly conceived to take bearing failure into consideration. The proposed prediction method was applied to quasi-isotropic carbon/epoxy joint showing net-tension and bearing failure experimentally. Good agreement was found between the predicted and experimental result for each joint geometry.
