Purpose: Heat pressed ceramics, used for all ceramic restorations, have the additional advantage of being technically less change through using of the lost-wax technique. Conceptually, combining the ceramic with the clinically proven reinforcing ability of a metal framework would be advantageous; however, cause of mismatching of fusion between ceramics and metal frameworks which from differences of casting temperature and coefficient of thermal expansion, pressed ceramics could not be used with a metal framework. The purpose of this study was to compare shear bond strength of press-to metal ceramic to porcelain fused non precious metal and feldspatic porcelain fused non precious metal. Methods: The 30 metal specimens were casted in a porcelain fused non precious metal nickel-chromium alloy. They were divided into 3 groups by surface treatment and applied ceramic: $125{\mu}m$ aluminium oxide sandblasting and veneered feldspatic porcelain (group FP), $125{\mu}m$ aluminium oxide sandblasting and had press-to-metal ceramic applied (group PC), porcelain bonder (gold bonder) fused on surface of metal specimens and had press-to-metal ceramic applied (group PCG). In each group 10 metal specimens were used. The press-to-metal ceramic applied 20 specimens had ash-free wax pattern applied, the metal-wax complexes invested, and were pressed with heat press ceramic. All specimens were subjected to shear bond strength test at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. Results: The results of measured in Mean SD and data were analyzed by one-way AVOVA (p= .05) and Tukey HSD test (p= .05).: group FP $16.090{\pm}1.841$ MPa, group PC $12.620{\pm}1.8256$ MPa, group PCG $10.920{\pm}0.9283$, significant differences between all groups (p < .05). Significant differences were found in each between group FP and group PC, group FP and group PCG (p < .05). Conclusion: The shear bond strength of press-to-metal ceramic to porcelain fused non precious metal was described higher in unused gold bonder group than used gold bonder groups.
Recently the 2nd generation laboratory composite resins were introduced. Although the mechanical properties of these composite resins have been improved, there were some disadvantages such as discoloration, low abrasion resistance and debonding between metal and resin. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the tensile bond strength between non-pecious dental alloy(verabond) and four veneering reinforced composite resins ; Targis(Ivoclar Co., U.S.A.), Artglass(Kulzer CO., Germany), Sculpture(Jeneric Pentron Co., U.S.A.), and Estonia(Kurary Co., Japan). All test metal specimens were polished with #1,000 SiC paper, and sandblasted with $250{\mu}m$ aluminum oxide. After then. according to manufacturer's instructions metal adhesive primer and veneering resins were applied. All test specimens were divided into two groups. One group was dried in a desiccator at $25^{\circ}C$ for 3 days, the other group was subjected to thermal cycling($2,000{\times}$) in water($5/55^{\circ}C$). Tensile bond strength was measured using Instron Universal Testing machine and the fractured surface was examined under the naked eyes and scanning electron microscope. Within the limitations imposed in this study, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. In no-thermal cycling groups, there were no significant differences between Estenia and VMK68 but there were significant differences between Targis, Artglass, Sculpture and VMK68(p<0.05). 2. In no-thermal cycling resin groups, the highest tensile bond strength was observed in Estenia and there were significant differences between Estenia and the other resins(p<0.05). 3. Before and after thermal cycling, there were significant differences in tensile bond strength of Targis and Artglass(p<0.05). The tensile bond strength of Artglass was decreased and that of Targis was increased. 4. In no-thermal cycling groups, Artglass showed mixed fracture modes(95%), but after thermal cycling, Artglass showed adhesive fracture modes(75%).

The bond strength is one of the most important factor in establishing long-term success of esthetic restorative dentistry. So, various restorative materials have been introduced to improve the esthetic and physical properties. Ormocer (organically modified ceramic) was developed as a result of such efforts. This study was performed to compare the shear bond strength of ormocer based adhesive with that of existing dentin adhesive. In this study $Admira^{(R)}$ and $Admira^{(R)}$ bond of the ormocer system are grouped together for ADM, Single $Bond^{(R)}$ which is an one-bottle adhesive and Z-250TM which is hybrid composite resin of BIS-GMA system for SIN, and $Definite^{(R)}$ of ormocer and Etch & $Prime^{(R)}$ 3.0 which is a self etching priming/ bonding agent for ETC. The results of this study were as follows. : (1) In the comparison of shear bond strength according to different adhesive system, shear bond strength was increased in the order of ETC group, SIN group, ADM group. There was no significant difference between ADM group and SIN group. However, there was a significant level of difference between ADM and ETC groups as well as SIN and ETC groups( p<0.05). (2) Examination by a scanning electron microscope showed a well established hybrid layer and resin tag in both ADM group and SIN group, while ETC group showed a minimal formation of the hybrid layer when compared with ADM and SIN groups. From the above results, it may be reasonable to start the clinical application of ormocer system, and it is recommended that ormocer system should be used along with an ormocer based adhesive because ormocer system showed the lower shear bond strength when it used with other existing self etching priming/bonding agent. The self etching priming/bonding agent showed relatively low shear bond strength, and it is considered that the further study should be needed.
Recently, several researches on the development of new economical foundation types have been performed to support floating structures as many offshore structures have been constructed. This study focused on the evaluation of bearing capacity of group suction piles, which are connected by a concrete pile cap. The offshore floating structures are mainly subjected to horizontal loading, so the horizontal bearing capacities of the group suction piles were analyzed by performing 3-dimensional finite element analyses. The group suction piles are expected to behave as a rigid pile due to its shallow embedded depth. Therefore, the detailed soil modeling was necessary to simulate the bearing behavior of soils under low confining pressure. The modulus and the strength of soils were modelled to increase with effective confining pressure in soils. For the parametric study, the center-to-center spacing between piles was varied and two soil types of clay and sands were applied. The analyses results showed that the yielding load of the group pile increased with the increase of the pile spacing and the yielding load of the group piles with 5D spacing was about 3 times larger than that of the single pile with free rotation.

An indoor positioning system using Wi-Fi is essential to produce a radio map that combines the indoor space of two or more dimensions, the information of node positions, and etc. in processing for constructing the radio map, the measurement of the received signal strength indicator(RSSI) and the confirmation of node placement information counsume substantial time. Especially, when the installed wireless environment is changed or a new space is created, easy installation of the node and fast indoor radio mapping are needed to provide indoor location-based services. In this paper, to reduce the time consumption, we propose an algorithm to distinguish the straight and curve lines of a corridor section by RSSI visualization and Sobel filter-based edge detection that enable accurate node deployment and space analysis using cable-type Wi-Fi node installed at a 3 m interval. Because the cable type Wi-Fi is connected by a same power line, it has an advantage that the installation order of nodes at regular intervals could be confirmed accurately. To be able to analyze specific sections in space based on this advantage, the distribution of the signal was confirmed and analyzed by Sobel filter based edge detection and total RSSI distribution(TRD) computation through a visualization process based on the measured RSSI. As a result to compare the raw data with the performance of the proposed algorithm, the signal intensity of proposed algorithm is improved by 13.73 % in the curve section. Besides, the characteristics of the straight and the curve line were enhanced as the signal intensity of the straight line decreased by an average of 34.16 %.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive(PSA) tapes are widely used as floor-sealing material in Korean constructive industry. However, the general PSA tapes can not seal the apertures completely. This is one of main reasons to cause imperfect finishing. In order to solve the problems, the asphalts were modified by FKM powder and SBS in this study. The physical properties of modified asphalts were examined by measuring the softening point, viscosity, tensile strength and adhesion strength of FKM and SBS modified asphalt. The softening point of SBS modified asphalt was increased greatly due to the formation of network structure in asphalt. Also, the change of adhesion strength of SBS modified asphalt with temperature was not so great comparing to those of pure asphalt and FKM modified asphalt. The best results of pressure-sensitive adhesion could be obtained by the SBS(linear) modified asphalt containing 6 wt.% of linear type SBS.
This study investigated the information contents of KOSPI200 Options for intraday big market movement by using minute by minute data. The major findings are summarized as follows; First, big market movement occurred more frequently during 9:00~10:00 and 14:00~14:50. These phenomena reflect market unstability just after opening and near closing. Second, VKSOPI is most closely associated with extreme changes such as KOSPI200 jumps. Third, VKOSPI is showed more predictive power with negative KOSPI200 jumps than KOSPI200 jumps. Fourth, VKOSPI showed predictive power for the positive and negative jumps up to 30 minutes before the jumps occurs. The purpose of this study is to explore the most recent topics in the field of finance, research on market microstructure. This study is an important contribution to investigate intraday information comprehensively in terms of market microstructure effects using the 15-year long-term and the high-frequency data(minute by minute). The results of this study are expected to contribute to detect intraday true jumps, proactive development of market risk indicators, risk management, derivatives investment strategy.
For many years permanent soft denture liners has been widely used in dental practice directly or indirectly because of its function in absorbing and distributing the impact force. However, it reveals problems such as lack of permanency and decreased bond strength in long term use. The purpose of this study is to measure the bond strength and failure between denture base resin and several permanent liners. Lucitone 199 was used as denture base resin with soft acrylic liners (Triad, Tokuso Rebase) and silicone elastomers (Tokuyama, Ufi Gel C) bonded to measure the tensile strength before and after thermocycling. The thermocycling was done in 2000 cycles at $5^{\circ}C,\;26^{\circ}C\;and\;55^{\circ}C$ and the measured tensile strength values before and after thermocycling were compared. The mode of failure was investigated in the separated specimens. The results are as follows. 1. As to tensile strength, the strongest material is Tokuso Rebase followed by Triad, Tokuyama, Ufi Gel C in before thermocycling and the order of Triad, Tokuso Rebase, Tokuyama, Ufi Gel C in after thermocycling state. There was significant difference between the values of Triad, Tokuso Rebase and Tokuyama, Ufi Gel C(p<0.05). 2. As to degree of displacement, Ufi Gel C showed most displacement with or without thermo-cycling treatment and also the difference was significant with the other materials(p<0.05). 3. As to comparisons before and after thermocycling, Tokuso Rebase and Tokuyama showed significant difference in bond strength, whereas Triad and Tokuso Rebase showed significant difference in the degree of displacement(p<0.05). 4. In debonded specimens, Triad and Ufi Gel C showed adhesion failure and Tokuyama showed cohesion failure. Both failures were observed in Tokuso Rebase with adhesion failure up to 70%. The results of this study showed that degree of bond strength between permanent soft denture liner and denture base resin were variable. There was a significant difference between soft acrylics and silicone elastomers with regard to bond strength. Further research in improving bond strength of widely used silicone elastomers and in developing the method of measuring bond strength between denture base resin and the lining materials is needed.

The reinforced composte resin as the esthetic operative material continuously has been studied because the porcelain fused metal prosthesis is widely used for its excellent esthetics, rigidity and marginal integrity, but it has low fracture resistance against the tensile strength and stress, attrition of the opposite teeth. The reinforced composite resin is well adapt with the dental alloy but it is low the shear bond strength with the dental alloy vs the porcelain fused metal prosthesis, and then has been studied continuously. The purpose of the study was to examine how metal was the higher shear bond strength among the dental alloy was used to the reinforced composite resin and to find the effect that the particle size of sandblasting influenced the shear bond strength. We built up the reinforced composite resin with 4 mm in diameter, 3 mm in height on circular alloy with 5 mm in diameter, 2 mm in height. Type II gold, type IV gold, and Ag-Pd alloy was used as alloys and $50{\mu}m$, $110{\mu}m$, $250{\mu}m$ of the particle size was sandblasted at each alloy in bonding between alloy and resin. We made 90 secimens of 10 per each group and we measured the shear bond strength using the Instron($M100EC^{(R)}$, Mecmesin Co., England). The obtained results were as follows : 1. In comparison among each alloys, Ag-Pd alloy had the highest shear bond strength and the shear bond strength was decreased significantly in the sequence of the type II gold and type IV gold(P<0.001). 2. In comparison according to the size of sandblasting particle, (1) In Ag-Pd alloy, shear bond strength was decreased in the sequence of $110{\mu}m$, $250{\mu}m$, $50{\mu}m$ and there were significant difference in all the group. (P<0.05) (2) In type II gold, it was decreased in the sequence of $250{\mu}m$, $50{\mu}m$, $110{\mu}m$ and there were significant difference. (P<0.05) (3) In type IV gold, it was decreased in the sequence of $110{\mu}m$, $50{\mu}m$, $250{\mu}m$. There were significant difference between the group of $110{\mu}m$ and $50{\mu}m$, the group of $110{\mu}m$ and 250, but there were no significant difference in the group of $50{\mu}m$ and $250{\mu}m$. 3. The highest shear bond strength according to the size of sandblasting particle was $110{\mu}m$ in Ag-Pd alloy and type IV gold, $250{\mu}m$ in type II gold.
By investigating photoluminescence (PL) spectra (20 K) of undoped and Be-doped p-type GaSb/GaAs epilayers, the origin has been analyzed by the change due to doping density. We have observed that the PL peak shifts to higher energy and the full-width half-maximum (FWHM) decreases with increasing the doping density below ${\sim}10^{17}cm^{-3}$, contrasted to shift to low energy and increasing FWHM above the density of ${\sim}10^{17}cm^{-3}$. From the variation of the integrated PL intensities of three peaks dissolved by Gaussian fit, it has been analyzed that, as the density increases, the $Be[Be_{Ga}]$ acceptor level (0.794 eV) reduces, whereas the intrinsic defect of $A[Ga_{Sb}]$ (0.778 eV) enhances together with a new $Be^*$ level (0.787 eV) locating between A and Be. We have discussed that it is due to coexistence of the Be acceptor level (${\Delta}E=16meV$) and the complex level (${\Delta}E=23meV$), $Be^*[Ga_{Sb}-Be_{Ga}]$combined by Be and A, in Be-doped p-GaSb, and that the level density of $Be[Be_{Ga}]$ may be reduced above ${\sim}10^{17}cm^{-3}$.
