  • For successful guided-wave damage inspection, the appropriate signal processing of measured wave signals is very important. The objective of this paper is to introduce an efficient signal processing technique especially suitable for the guided-waves used for damage detection. The key idea of this technique is to model guided-waves by chirp functions of special form considering the dispersion phenomenon. To determine the parameter of the chirp functions simulating guided-waves, the matching pursuit algorithm is employed. The damage information in waveguides can be extracted by pulse-characterizing parameters. The effectiveness of present method is checked with the guided wave-based damage inspection.

  • Although guided-waves are very efficient for long-range nondestructive damage inspection, it is not easy to extract meaningful pulses of small magnitude out of noisy signals. The ultimate goal of this research is to develop an efficient signal processing technique for the current guided-wave technology. The specific contribution of this investigation towards achieving this goal, a two-stage Gabor pulse-based matching pursuit algorithm is proposed : rough approximations with a set for predetermined parameters characterizing the Gabor pulse and fine adjustments of the parameters by optimization. The parameters estimated from the measured signal are then used to assess not only the location but also the size of a crack existing in a rod. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed method, the longitudinal wave-based damage detection in rods is considered. To estimate the crack size, Love's theory for the dispersion of longitudinal waves is employed.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method for improving defect-detection performance based on reconstruction of line-scan camera images using both the projection profiles and color space transform. The proposed method consists of RGB region segmentation, representative value reconstruction using the tracing system, and Y image reconstruction using color-space transformation. Through experiments it is demonstrated that the performance using the reconstructed image is better than that using aerial image for LCD surface inspection.

  • Based on the Internet of Things, a web system that can check the condition around the fire extinguisher, whether a fire has occurred, and an application that can receive fire notifications in real time is implemented. Minimize errors that occur during development by using software engineering to clarify the goals of the system and define the structure in detail. In addition, for IoT-based fire extinguishers, a method of reducing defects by finding product defects in the demand analysis, design, and implementation stages and analyzing the cause thereof is proposed. Through the proposed research, it is possible to secure the reliability of defect management for IoT-based smart fire extinguisher.

  • Traceability has been held as an important factor in testing activities as well as model driven development. Vertical traceability affords us opportunities to improve manageability from models and test cases to code in testing and debugging phase. Traceability also overcomes difficulties by the separation between abstraction levels when we trace errors from models to source code after test. To support a rigorous test this paper proposes XML based traceability which vertically trace from model and test case to source code. This paper explains how the traceability works and finds out error spots Through experiments using a concrete example.

  • Bug reports are essential documents for developers to localize and fix bugs. These reports contain information regarding software bugs or failures that occur during software operation and maintenance phase. Information Retrieval-based Bug Localization (IR-BL) techniques have been proposed to reduce the time and cost it takes for developers to resolve bug reports. However, if a low-quality bug report is submitted, the performance of such techniques can be significantly degraded. To address this problem, we propose a quality prediction method that selects low-quality bug reports. This process; defines a Quality property of a Bug report as a Query (Q4BaQ) and predicts the quality of the bug reports using machine learning. We evaluated the proposed method with 3 open source projects. The results of the experiment show that the proposed method achieved an average F-measure of 87.31% and outperformed previous prediction techniques by up to 6.62% in the F-measure. Finally, a combination of the proposed method and traditional automatic query reformulation method improved the MRR and MAP by 0.9% and 1.3%, respectively.

Traceability also makes overcome to difficulties of going up-and-down abstraction level to find out error spot of faults discovered by testing This paper represents a vertical test method which connects a system test level and an integration test level in a test stage by using UML. Experiment of how traceability works and how effective focus on error spots has been included using concrete examples of tracing from models to the code.

  • In this paper, implement and propose an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar integration analysis system which specialized for radar development by using heterogeneous media. Most analysis systems are used to analyze and improve the cause of defects, so they help the test easier. However, previous log analysis systems that operate only based on text are not intuitive and difficult to find the information user want at once if there is a lot of log information. so when an equipment defect occurs, there are limitations in analyzing the cause of defect. Therefore, the analysis system in this paper utilizes heterogeneous media. The media defined in this paper refers to recording text-based data, displaying data as image or video and visualizing data. The proposed analysis system classifies and stores data that transmitted and received between radar devices, radar target detection and Tracking algorithm data, etc. also displays and visualizes radar operation results and equipment defect information in real time. With this analysis system, it can quickly provide information what user want and assistance in developing high quality radar.
