황기건중탕은 보비익기(補裨益氣) 및 거습열(祛濕熱)하는 효능(效能)으로 신체(身體)의 허약(虛弱)을 개선하며 염증(炎症)을 유발할 수 있는 외사(外邪)의 침입을 방어하여 인체의 면역기능(免疫機能)을 강화하는 처방으로 면역관련 세포중 하나인 microglial cell를 대상으로 면역세포에 황기건중탕이 어떠한 효능을 발휘하는 지를 살펴보았다. 물로 전탕(煎湯)한 황기건중탕을 여과한 후 실험한 결과 BV2 microglial cells에서 LPS로 자극하여 염증을 유발하는 주요 물질인 NO의 분비를 세포독성 없이 억제하였다. 또한NO를 생성하는 효소인 Cox-2의 발현도 감소시켰다. 그리고 기타 염증전구 물질들이 $TNF-{\alpha}$, $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-12도 황기건중탕의 용량이 증가함에 따라 의존적으로 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 보아 황기건중탕은 면역관련세포인 microglial cell에서 염증 관련 인자들의 분비 및 생성을 억제를 통하여 면역관련 상태를 개선시키는 것으로 사료된다.

This study examined how the Korean courts have made a balance between rights of school teachers' expression and the public interests derived from regulating their rights for expression in related cases. Under the Korean laws such as National Public Service Law and the Law on Assembly and Demonstration, school teachers are considered as civil servants and basically not allowed to assemble to demonstrate for their own interests. The analysis revealed that in 24 cases from a total of 31 teacher-related court cases, teachers were found guilty in violation of related laws. In deciding whether the teachers' participation on anti-government assembly was guilty or not, the courts put an emphasis on public purpose of their expression, the degree to which their expressions affect the society, and specific contents of their expression. Conclusively, it was found out that in applying the related law, Korean courts tend to overweigh the public interests, rather than the teachers' right to express.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to introduce new femoral fixation technique using a cross-pin and a bioabsorbable interference screw in hamstring ACL reconstruction. Method : Semitendinosus and gracilis were harvested for quadrapled graft. After tibial tunnel had been made, femoral tunnel was made 35 mm in depth. Then the graft passed through the tunnels. Cross-pin was fixed through the drill hole which had been made through upper sleeve of the Rigidfix system. While pulling the graft, bioabsorbable interference screw was fixed through the anteromedial portal. Conclusion : We introduced the new femoral fixation technique using a cross-pin and a bioabsorbable interference screw as a good method with high fixation strength and tight graft-bone contact.

Purpose: Previous transtibial double bundle posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction methods have several problems in graft length and tibial fixation. We introduce new surgical method that is less restrictive by graft length and is more stable with single tibial fixation. Operative technique: After diagnostic arthroscopy, we prepare the graft, ream the tibial tunnel and perform the procedure for TransFix tibial fixation. Femoral 2 tunnel is made and graft is passed via anteromedial (AM) portal. Tibial fixation is done and femoral 2 graft is fixed sequentially at each knee position. Conclusion: TtransFix tibial single fixation method in double bundle PCL reconstruction provides more stable fixation, more free graft selection and prevents graft damage by passing the graft via AM portal.

Enterovirus isolation was attempted from samples obtained from aseptic meningitis-suspected patients in hospitals in Busan during 2002. Enteroviruses were found in 83 of 703 cases. Echovirus serotypes 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 13, 25, 29, 30 were isolated in 72 cases while coxsackievirus serotypes B3 and B4 were isolated in 11 cases. The occurrence was found to be distributed from April thru November with the highest rate during June and July. The strains of Vero and HEp-2 of echovirus and coxsackievirus, respectively, are highly infectious. Age distribution of patients, 61 patients in Enteroviruses and 11 patients in coxsackievirus, respectively, occurred in 0 to 10 year-olds. The sex distribution of the patients is as follows, 52 males (62.7％), 31 females (37.3％). Occurrence rate was found to be higher in male patients. Electron micrograph of echovirus and coxsackievirus show that they are small nonenevolped, isometric-shaped viruses. Isolated RNA from strains of echovirus and coxsackievirus showing cytopathic effects were used to undergo nested PCR which resulted in a 437 bp single band in all the strains.

Purpose: We report here on two cases of calcific tendinitis at the origin of the common extensor tendons of the forearm. Materials and Methods: A 42 year-old female complained of left elbow pain and flexion contracture. After obtaining the simple radiographs and MRI, surgical excision of the calcific deposits was done under the diagnosis of calcific tendinitis. A 25 year-old female complained of right elbow pain and a limited range of motion. Simple radiographs showed a calcific deposit just distal to the lateral epicondyle, and then she was managed with extracorporeal shock wave therapy. Results: The pain disappeared completely and both patients regained a full range of motion after treatments. Conclusion: Calcific tendinitis at the origin of the common extensor tendons of the forearm should be included in the differential diagnosis of the lateral elbow diseases that cause pain and a limited range of motion.

This research has been studied through the actual conditional investigation about street monitoring from January to December of 2013 in Seoul city primally. As the result of this research, it has been performed aleady the Seoul city's BIS (Balanced Index Score) goal of 2013. The 18,490 cases were reported through the street monitoring activities. Despite of increasing drastically for 1,151 cases's record of 2012, Street monitoring activity appeared wide variations in the region, ages, vocation and gender. Also it depended on 25 outstanding persons of merely 3.9%. They reported 13,880 cases that run to 75.1%. On the basis of Herbert W. Heinrich's Domino theory and law of 1:29:300, the dead of 54, seriously and the slightly injured of 1,573 and the latent injured of 16,275 were decreased by eliminating unsafe state. It respected and protected the 17,903 Seoul citizen's life. This study suggested a effective improvemental method of monitoring activity by dawing a problem through Seoul and Gangdong-gu street monitor comparative analysis.

This study was carried out to determine residues of 17 pesticides and provide basic information on dietary safety of 35 kinds of Kangweon-do agricultural products. Residual leyels of organochlorine and organophosphorus pesticides were analyzed by using GLC-ECO and GLC-NPD, respectively. A total of 157 agricultural products of Kangweon-do were analyzed. At least one kind of pesticide residues were detected in 48.4% of the analyzed samples and two or more kinds were found in 15.3%. Residue of Captan was detected in 43 samples of 81 agricultural products which was 53.1%. But residues of Endrin, Captafol, Parathion, Fenitrothion, Fenthion and EPN were not found in the all samples tested. Ranges of the pesticide residue leyels detected were ND-0.142 ppm for organochlorine pesticides, ND-0.075 ppm for organophosphorus pesticides and ND-1.067 ppm for Captan. Results of this monitoring study demonstrated that pesticide residue leyels in Kangweon-do agricultural supply were generally well below regulatory limits.

This study was carried out for the dietry safely based on the level of pesticide residues In 13 kinds of agricultural products consumed in Kyonggi-Do. Korea. From June to October 2000, sixteen organochlorine pesticides in 397 samples were analyzed by using GC/ECD and GC/MSD. According to the results, endosulfan were detected in 27(7.8%) samples and chlorothalonil were detected in 4(1.0%) samples. Detection ranges of endosulfan were 3.7437∼ 0.0488ppm for lettuce, 2.1902 ∼0.1423ppm for spinach, 2.4909 ∼0.0786ppm for mallow and 3.2333∼0.3997ppm for mustard leaf, respectively Chlorothalonil were 5.8097 for lettuce and 0.8962ppm for spinach. Consequently, six agricutural products were detected more than the maximum residue limits in Korea Endosulfan were detected In 5(1.8%) samples and cholrothalonil were detected in 1(0.3%) sample. Detection rates of endosulfan sulfate(45.9%) of agricultural products were more than $\alpha$-endosulfan(28.5% ) and $\beta$-endosulfan (23.9% ) .

This study examined microbiological contamination of street foods(kimbab, fish cake, Korean sausage) by microbiological analysis. A collection of 360 samples of street foods was obtained seasonally in four major cities(Seoul, Daejeon, Busan, Gwangju) in Korea. Aerobic mesophilic counts ranged between 1.0 and 9.9 log CFU/g, with the highest count recorded from Kimbab. Counts of psychrotrophic microorganisms were as high as those of mesophilic microorganisms. Total coliform populations between <1.0 and 7.5 log CFU/g were found in 53.6% of samples. Escherichia coli 4.4%, Staphylococcus aureus 7.8% and Clostridium perfringens 3.3%. Salmonella spp. and Listeria monocytogenes were not detected in any of the samples. Kimbab purchased in spring and summer showed higher S. aureus and Cl. perfringens contamination rates. Microbial contamination levels determined in the present study may be used as the primary data to execute microbial risk assessment of street foods.
