Monitoring of residual pesticides in fresh-cut produce in Gangseo, Seoul (서울 강서지역 신선편이식품 원재료 농산물의 잔류농약 모니터링)

  • This study, conducted during 2018-2021 in Gangseo, Seoul, monitored residual pesticides in 14 types of fresh-cut produce, including lettuce, tomato, and celery, in wholesale market and supermarkets. A total of 589 cases (2.9%) were inspected; 17 cases (2.9%) were detected within the criteria, and 2 cases (0.3%) exceeded the maximum residual limit (MRL). When assessing the distribution stage of the pesticide violation, there were two violations in the wholesale market (before distribution), which differed from the supermarkets (during distribution). The detected pesticides, mainly insecticides and fungicides, appeared in the order of flubendiamide, flufenoxuron, and diazinon. A violation rate of 0.3% was found for wholesale market, which is collection area dedicated to fresh-cut produce, and this was lower than that for general agricultural products (1.4-2.5%). Since fresh-cut produce are consumed immediately after simple processing, residual pesticides significantly affect the human body; therefore, continuous monitoring of pesticide residues is required.

Investigation on Pesticide Residues in Agricultural Products in Domestic Markets Using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS (LC-MS/MS 및 GC-MS/MS를 이용한 국내 유통 농산물 중 잔류농약 실태조사)

  • In this study, we investigated pesticide residue levels in 535 domestically distributed agricultural products in South Korea using multi-residue analysis. Agricultural products from 13 regions, including Seoul, were pretreated using QuEChERS and d-SPE, and subsequently analyzed using LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS. Residual pesticides were detected in 288 (53.8%) out of the 535 samples, including 40 of apples, 40 of peppers, 33 of mandarins, 31 of peaches, and 144 other commodities. Furthermore, one sample of Korean cabbage exceeded the permitted maximum residue limit (MRL), diniconazole (0.18 mg/kg), detected at about twice the MRL. In total, 91 types of residual pesticides were detected, including fungicides (42), insecticides (48), and a nematicide. The most frequently detected pesticides were dinotefuran (91), carbendazim (75), tebuconazole (61), and pyraclostrobin (59). Our results showed that continuous monitoring of agricultural products is necessary.

Monitoring of Residual Pesticides in Pepper Seed Oil Products Sold on the Market (고추씨 기름의 잔류농약 모니터링)

  • The status of residual pesticides was investigated in four pepper seed oil samples and 36 pepper-flavored oil samples oil distributed on the market from August to December 2022. A total of 179 pesticides were monitored in 40 samples, and 14 pesticides were detected in 39 of the samples, with a detection range of 0.01-2.16 mg/kg. In chili seed oil, 10 pesticides were detected 27 times with a range of 0.11-2.16 mg/kg, and in pepper-flavored oil, 9 pesticides were detected 94 times with a range of 0.01-0.80 mg/kg. The most frequently detected pesticides were tebuconazole, ethion, and difenoconazole, with ethion being detected in large concentrations in products using Chinese raw materials. Ethion, an unregistered pesticide in the Republic of Korea, has not been detected in the Gyeonggi-do area in the past 10 years. It is thought that the detection of ethion can be utilized as an indicator of products made in China. Peppers are a representative agricultural product for which many pesticides are used, and if the pesticides transferred to pepper seeds are not removed, the probability of detecting various types of pesticides in pepper seed oil is very high. Therefore, continuous research is needed to ensure the safety of pepper seed oil.

Comparative Analysis of Ginsenoside Content in Processed Red Ginseng Foods Based on Food Type and Formulation (홍삼가공식품의 식품유형별 및 제형별 진세노사이드 함량 비교)

  • Red ginseng is manufactured as a health-functional food and is also present in various food types and in different product forms. However, there is currently no standardized regulation of ginsenoside content in foods containing red ginseng. In the present study, we analyzed the ginsenoside content of 66 red ginseng-containing foods and 35 health-functional foods collected online and directly from the market. The ginsenoside content was assessed using liquid chromatography (LC) and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) methods. The ginsenoside content of the various food types ranged 0.0 (not detected)-71.567 mg per daily intake of foods containing red ginseng. Sugar-preserved foods had the highest ginsenoside content, followed by solid teas, liquid teas, and red ginseng beverages. For health-functional foods, the ginsenoside content ranged 3.4-58.5 mg per daily intake, with levels ranging 83-607% of the indicated amounts. All values met the established standards. Upon comparing red ginseng health-functional foods and red ginseng-containing foods, the average ginsenoside content was determined to be 18.21 and 8.79 mg, respectively, thus being nearly twice as high in health-functional foods. However, there was a minimal difference between the ginsenoside content of red and black ginseng, with values of 11.84 and 12.63 mg, respectively. These findings provide insights on the variations in ginsenoside content of red and black ginseng in various food forms. This information is expected to be valuable for future regulations and consumer choice of products containing red ginseng.

A Survey on Pesticide Residues and Risk Assessment for Agricultural Products Marketed in the Northern Area of Seoul from 2022 to 2023 (서울 북부지역 유통 농산물의 잔류농약 실태 및 위해성 평가 (2022-2023))

  • In this study, we investigated the concentrations of pesticide residues in agricultural products marketed in northern Seoul and assessed their potential health risks. A total of 1,737 samples were collected using the QuEChERS method, followed by LC-MS/MS and GC-MS/MS. Pesticide residues below the MRLs were detected in 560 samples of 72 items (32.2%), but 38 samples of 22 items had pesticide residues above the MRLs. Residual pesticides were detected in 53.8% of fruits, 33.0% of vegetables, 28.6% of herbs, 15.4% of beans, and 10.5% of rice samples. Most of the samples that exceeded the MRLs were vegetables, especially leafy, stalk, stem, and root vegetables; herbs and mushrooms also exceeded the permitted MRLs. Of the 105 pesticides investigated, dinotefuran, fluxametamide, chlorfenapyr, azoxystrobin, and carbendazim were the most frequently detected, whereas 23 pesticide residues, including terbufos, carbendazim, and fluxametamide, were detected above the MRL values. The hazard indices were calculated as 0.00003-1.31406%, which suggests that the investigated pesticide residues in the samples were within safe levels, but continuous monitoring of pesticides in agricultural products is needed to ensure the safety of consumers.

  • 지난 1월 17일 전북 고창의 종오리 농가에서 HPAI가 발생해 현재('14.06.18)까지 총 35건의 의심신고가 접수 되었으며 이중 29건이 양성판정을 받았다. 6월 18일 기준(잠정집계)으로 총 532농가에서 총 13,885,000수가 매몰되었다. 이와 관련 국회농림어업 및 국민생활발전포럼(선임대표 홍문표)은 지난 10일 국회도서관 대강당에서 'AI 원인 진단 및 방역대책 마련을 위한 정책토론회'를 개최하였고 농림축산식품부(장관 이동필, 이하 농식품부)는 지난 11일에는 마사회 대강당에서 'AI 방역체계 개선방안 공청회'를 개최했다. 금번 AI 발생현황('14.06.18기준)과 토론회 및 공청회 내용을 요약 정리 하였다.

  • 협회는 7월5일 IPTV 서비스의 조속한 도입과 아울러 합리적인 제도 마련을 촉구하는 관련업체의 의견을 담은 건의서를 국회 방송통신특별위원회에 전달했다. 또한 국무조정실 방송통신 융합지원단과 정보통신부 융합전략팀에도 전달했다. 협회는 건의서에서, 이해 관계자들의 소모적인 논쟁이 결과적으로 IPTV 서비스 도입정책 지연과 더불어 관련 산업 활성화를 가로막아 산업계의 첨단기술 및 제품들이 사장될 위기에 있으며 국가적으로도 막대한 손실로 이어질 수 있다며 IPTV 서비스의 조속한 도입을 촉구했다. 특히, 협회는 국가 100년 대계를 생각해 더 이상 소모적인 논쟁을 종식하고 국가 신성장 동력인 IPTV 상용화를 통해 IT강국의 위상을 제고해야 하며, 이를 위해 정부의 신속한 제도마련과 뉴미디어에 걸맞은 규제제도 완화가 병행돼야 한다고 주장했다.

  • 최근 상공부는 전자자료교환방식에 의한 무역업무처리의 필요성이 늘어남에 따라 그 제도적 장치로서 "무역자동화 촉진에 관한 법률(안)을 마련 입법예고했다. 그러나 이 법률(안)의 일부내용이 민간업계의 관련사업 활성화에 저해요인으로 작용할 소지가 있다는 지적에 따라 협회는 민간업계의 검토의견을 종합, 관계당국에 건의했다. 동 법률(안)에 대한 민간업계의 검토의견 및 건의 내용은 다음과 같다.

유상증자의 공시효과

  • 본 연구에서는 1985년부터 1993년까지의 기간동안 유상증자를 공시한 총 1,529건 중에서 표본의 선정기준에 따라 최종적으로 548건의 표본을 선정하여 유상증자의 공시시점에서의 주가반응효과와 이러한 주가반응을 설명해 줄 수 있는 원천을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 유상증자의 공시시점에서 정(+)의 주가반응을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 이와 같은 정(+)의 주가반응은 우리나라에서만 존재하는 유상증자의 제도적인 특성으로 인해 기존주주들이 독점적으로 부를 획득할 수 있다는 효과인 구주주이익가설로 설명되고 있음을 발견하였으며, 기존의 연구에서 발견된 투자기회가설에 대한 유의적인 증거는 발견할 수 없었다.
