A Study of The Photosensitive Characteristic and Fabrication of Polyimide Thin Film by Dry Processing (건식법을 이용한 폴리이미드 박막의 제조 및 광특성)

  • Thin films of polyimide (Pl) were fabricated by a vapor deposition polymerization method (VDPM) and studied for the photosensitive characteristic. Polyamic acid (PAA) thin films fabricated by vapor deposition polymerization (VDP) from 6FDA and 4-4' DDE were converted to PI thin films by thermal curing. From AFM and Ellipsometer experimental, the films thickness was decreased and the reflectance was increased as the curing temperature was increased. Those results implies that thin film is uniform. From UV-Vis spectra, PI thin films showed high absorbance in 225 $\sim$ 260 [nm] region.

  • To fabricate a hydrocarbon polymer electrolyte composite membrane incorporated with Pt nanoparticle, the polymer electrolyte membrane made of a sulfonated-fluorinated hydrophilic-hydrophobic block copolymer (SFBC) and sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) blend in the wight ratio of 1 : 1 was synthesized, and a simple drying process was used in order to incorporate Pt nanoparticle into the SFBC/SPEEK film by reducing platinum (II) bis (acetylacetonate), Pt $(acac)_2$. The distribution of the Pt nanoparticles was observed by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and mechanical and thermal properties were tested by universal testing machine (UTM) and thermogravimetry analyzer (TGA). Cation conductivity, ion exchange capacity (IEC) and I-V characteristics were estimated.

  • In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics PZT powder was synthesized by Wet-Dry combination method. And the flexible 1-3-0 type composites were fabricated with piezoceramic PZT and Eccogel polymer matrix embedded 3rd phase. Dielectric constant of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Thickness mode coupling factor k/sub t/ which was comparable with single phase PZT ceramics and mechanical quality factor Qm were about 0.65 and 6, respectively. These composites are considered as a good candidates for broad-band type transducer applications. The acoustic impedance of 1-3-0 type composites was lower than that of single phase PZT ceramics. Therefore, these composites would be better used for hydrophone applications.

  • A simple dry chemical approach was developed in order to load palladium (Pd) as a promoter on Pt/gas diffusion electrode (GDE) for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Palladium(II) bis (acetylacetonate), $Pd(acac)_2$ was sublimed, penetrated into Pt/GDE and then reduced to Pd nanoparticles simultaneously without any reducing agent and any solvent in a glass reactor of $N_2$ atmosphere at $180^{\circ}C$ for 3, 5 and 15 min. Pd distribution was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), and I-V curve was estimated by using a unit cell with $5{\times}5cm^2$ active area.

Making Process for Magnetite Powder (Magnetite 분말의 제조)

  • In this study, the new processing method to produce magnetite for mono-component black toner was studied using spray roaster. The produced magnetite is compared with TMB 125 made by Magnox, USA. When the weight ratio of the ferrous chloride and the ferric chloride is varied from 3:7~7:3 under $N_2$ atmosphere, the 100% major phase of magnetite is obtained. However, when the content of he ferrous chloride is higher than 70wt%, the content of FeO is increased. The phase of $\Gamma-Fe_2O_3$ is shown in th range of over 70wt% of the ferric chloride. The magnetite produced by spray roasting has a saturation magnetization of 80~85 emu/g and a coercivity of 110~130 Oe. The shape of the particle is irregular sphere and hte size of the magnetite is the range of $0.3~0.5\mu\textrm{m}$. It is shown that the magnetite made by spary roasting is enough to apply to the magnetic material of toner.

  • The sintering properties of hydroxyapatite isolated from tuna bone and hydroxyapatite-containing wollastonite sintered by solid-state reaction was investigated. As the sinterability of hydroxyapatite dependent upon the particle size by dry milling, it showed a sintering. But the hydroxyapatite-containing wollastonite was appeared good sinterability. On X-ray measurements, the major phases of hydroxyapatite-containing wollastonite by solid state reaction at $1250^{\circ}C$ were identified as hydroxyapatite and pseudowollastonite(${\alpha}-CaSiO_3$). And the phases appeared as whitlockite [$Ca_3(PO_4)_2$] by decomposition of hydroxyapatite at higher temperature above $1250^{\circ}C$. The shapes of microstructure on SEM images changed from porous to dense bulk by elevating temperature. The mean bending strength of hydroxyapatite-containing wollastonite sintered by solid-state reaction at $1300^{\circ}C$ was about 18 MPa, it was close to the cancellous bone's maximum strength, 20 MPa.

  • Visible photoluminescing (PL) silicon at room temperature has been prepared by a dry technique, that is, by spark processing, contrary to anodically etched porous silicon. PL peak maximum of photoluminescing spark processed Si was shifted to blue 520 nm. The stability of spark processed Si towards degradation upon UV radiation was found to be extremely high. Results from high resolution TEM, XRD and XPS studies suggest that spark processed silicon involves minute nanocrystalline (polycrystalline) particles which are imbedded in an amorphous matrix, preferably $SiO_2$.

  • Masonry structures that are very strong in compression fail due to the instability of structural shape of geometry rather than the material stress limit. Considering such structural behavior, the use of the limit theorem that focuses on structural collapse mechanisms is more appropriate for the evaluation of the structural safety of stone voussoir arch bridges. This paper is to investigate structural performance of the stone arch bridges constructed using dry construction method in Korea based on the limit theorem and to exploit the result to develop a system for an structural safety margin. It is expected that this study will help us understand structural behavior of stone voussoir arch bridges in Korea. Also, it will provide a guideline to make engineering decision from the viewpoint of the maintenance of cultural heritages.

$ZnO_{1-x}S_x$ 버퍼층 건식 성장 시 스퍼터링 파워 변화에 따른 CIGS 태양전지 특성

  • p-형 반도체인 Cu(In,Ga)$Se_2$ (CIGS) 광 흡수 층은 이보다 에너지 밴드 간격이 큰 n-형 반도체와 이종 접합을 형성한다. 흡수층과 윈도우층 사이의 결정구조 차이와 밴드갭 에너지 차이를 완화시키기 위해 버퍼층이 필요하다. 버퍼층을 형성하는 물질로 화학적 용액 성장법(Chemical Bath deposition)을 사용한 CdS가 많이 적용되어 왔으나 Cd의 유해성 및 습식 공정으로 인한 연속공정에 대한 어려움이 있다. 따라서 버퍼층을 Cd을 포함하지 않는 ZnS, $In_2S_3$, (Zn, Mg)O 등과 같은 물질로 대체하여 원자층 증착법(Atomic Layer Deposition), 펄스레이져증착법(Pulsed Laser Deposition), 스퍼터링(sputtering) 등과 같은 건식으로 성장시키는 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 $ZnO_{1-x}S_x$ ($0.2{\leq}x{\leq}0.4$)를 반응성 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 큰 밴드갭 에너지와 높은 광투과율를 갖는 버퍼층을 제작하였다. CIGS 박막의 손상을 줄여주기 위하여 RF 파워는 240, 200, 150, 100 W로 변화시켰다. CIGS 태양전지의 I-V 측정 결과, RF 파워가 150 W일 때 10.7%의 가장 높은 변환 효율을 보였고, 150 W 이상에서는 파워가 증가할 때 단락전류는 감소하였으며 개방전압은 다소 증가하였다. 반면 100 W에서 단락전류는 다소 증가하는 것에 반해 개방 전압이 급격히 낮아졌다. 이것은 파워에 따라 결합되는 산소의 양이 다르기 때문으로 생각된다.
