A RFID based Operations Management for Mass Health Examination (RFID 기반 단체 건강검진 운영관리)

  • 의료 기술이나 관련 장비가 발달해온 것과 달리, 현재의 단체 건강검진 환경에는 여러 가지 비효율적 요소들이 존재한다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 단체 건강검진 현장의 개선을 위한 전자태그(RFID) 기반 운영관리 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 본 시스템은 데이터베이스를 이용하여 검진과정에서 수집되는 데이터들을 실시간으로 관리하고, 이를 토대로 현장 검진의들의 작업을 지원할 수 있는 정보를 제공한다. 아울러, 수검자들은 검진현장을 순회할 때 기존처럼 문서로 된 검진서식을 지참하는 것이 아니라 개인 RFID 카드를 이용하게 되고, 수검자들의 검진 내역 역시 지속적으로 추적이 가능하다. 결과적으로 제안하는 시스템을 통하여 전체 검진현장의 실시간 통합 관리가 가능하며, 단체 건강검진 현장의 업무효율성과 수검자 편의성이 증진될 수 있다. 아울러, 제안하는 시스템은 건강검진 현장에서 여러 가지 성과지표를 수집, 산출하여 검진 서비스의 지속적인 개선을 위한 토대를 제공한다.

Distribution of Cadmium, Copper, Lead, and Zinc in Paddy Soils around an Old zinc Mine (가학광산 주변 논토양의 카드뮴, 구리, 납 및 아연 함량 분포)

  • This study was carried out to provide information for establishing counter measures of soil pollution through analysis of Cd. Cu, Pb, and Zn in paddy soils and brown rice. Cadmium, Cu, Pb, and Zn contents in soils were analyzed and distribution maps for these heavy metals were prepared. Heavy metal contents in brown rice were also measured. Average contents of Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn in surface paddy soils extracted with 0.1 N HCl were 7.4, 35.8, 98.9, and $118.8mg\;kg^{-1}$, respectively. These were 9 times (Cu) to 50 times (Cd) higher than the background level of heavy metals in unpolluted paddy soils in Korea. The contents of Pb and Zn were lower than those measured in 1980, whereas Cd content did not decrease. The levels of heavy metal contamination in paddy soils may not affect growth or yield of rice plant, however, Cd contents indicated a level of serious concern to humans. The average contents of Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn in brown rice were 0.38, 2.38, 1.31 and $22.31mg\;kg^{-1}$, respectively.

  • An aging Society solitary life old mans are increasing. The nurses have to visit old mans and must confirm their disease, because they do not act well. It is very difficult to take care old man, because the number of Nurses are small. This problem is solved by collection of data about condition of old mans from long distance. Data communication with Ethernet have benefit to collection of measurement of old man's condition. The Data storage system an long distance place are storaged data and after several day data was transmitted to the DB over the Ethernet. For Miniaturization of such system the system must be OS-less Embedded Ethernet Server system. Such system manages the file management system only with H/W. The Storage device is used SD-card. SD Card is small size and operates with small power. By using 512MB sd memory card, it is possible to storage during 5~6 years, 10 byte of temperature value per second. In this paper, we make a Embedded Ethernet Server using W3100A, Atmega128 MCU and data stroage device using SD-Card. This system operates with O/S-less Embedded Ethernet Server. We talk about file System, Storage and Ethernet. We explained about MCU Atmega128, Interface between LAN LSIand W3100A, Interface between W3100A and Phyceiver RTL8201, data I/O between MCU and SD-Card and File System. We shows the experiment device and result of monitoring.

Post-Marketing Surveillance Study of Hepatitis A Vaccine in Korean Population (한국에서 A형간염 백신(GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals' $Havrix^{TM}$)의 시판 후 조사)

  • Purpose : This post-marketing surveillance (PMS) study was conducted in Korea to assess the safety and reactogenicity of hepatitis A vaccine (GlaxoSmithKlineBiologicals'$Havrix^{TM}$) administered to the Korean population. Methods : A total of 1,188 healthy subjects with 1,122 subjects <6 years of age were enrolled to receive one dose of the hepatitis A vaccine from April 2005 to January 2006. Diary cards were provided to the subjects or subjects' parents for reporting solicited and unsolicited symptoms during the 4-day and 31-day post-vaccination follow-up period. Results : The number of subjects who returned diary cards was 568, whereas, 620 subjects did not return diary cards. Among the subjects who returned diary cards, 9.9% and 14.3% reported local and general solicited/unsolicited symptoms. Among the subjects who did not return diary cards, 1.6% and 8.4% reported local and general solicited/unsolicited symptoms. At least one unsolicited symptom was reported by 13.2% of the subjects. Conclusion : Results indicate that the vaccine was well-tolerated and had an acceptable safety profile. The use of diary cards in such a survey provided a prompt and reliable option for recording symptoms.

Monitoring of Heavy Metals in Vegetables in Korea (국내 유통 중인 채소류의 중금속 모니터링)

  • This study was carried out as a survey on the level of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), arsenic (As) and mercury (Hg) in 5 items of agricultural products (lettuce, pumpkin, head lettuce, cabbage and crown daisy) for which safety guidelines are not yet established in Korea. The 407 samples were collected from local markets in 9 regional places and the levels of metals were measured by ICP-MS and mercury analyzer. The average levels of Pb, Cd, As and Hg were 0.026, 0.018, 0.008 and 0.003 mg/kg for lettuce, 0.002, 0.001, 0.001 and 0.0006 mg/kg for pumpkin, 0.002, 0.005, 0.001 and 0.0005 mg/kg for head lettuce, 0.001, 0.002, 0.0002 and 0.0006 mg/kg for cabbage and 0.022, 0.014, 0.006 and 0.004 mg/kg for crown daisy. For risk assessment, the daily dietary exposures of Pb, Cd and Hg by intake of these agricultural products were calculated and compared with PTWI (provisional tolerable weekly intake) established by JECFA. The daily dietary exposure of heavy metals by intake of these agricultural products were 0.13, 0.56 and 0.09% of PTWI, respectively. These monitoring results will be utilized as fundamental data for the establishment of Korean standards of Pb, Cd, As and Hg in 5 items of agricultural products and valuable source for DB construction for science-based safety control of heavy metals in foods including agricultural products.

Estimation of Multi-Route Exposure and Aggregated Risk Assessment for Cadmium and Lead (카드뮴과 납의 다경로 노출량 추정 및 통합 위해성 평가)

  • Exposure to hazardous substances occurs through multiple pathways. Aggregated risk assessment, which includes all potential exposure pathways to a single toxicant, is necessary to prevent exposure to harmful substances. We aimed to estimate cadmium and lead exposure through various media, such as food, water, air, smoking, cosmetics, and female hygiene products. This study covered 10,733 subjects from the Seventh Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(2016, 2017). Dietary exposure was estimated using 24-hour recall data. For water and inhalational exposure, regional variations were considered. Water was classified as tap, bottled, and public water. Inhalational exposure was estimated using the '2014 Time Use Survey' based on daily lifestyle and social status. The frequency and volume of cosmetic usage were randomly approximated by sex and age. Post-menarcheal and premenopausal women were assumed to use feminine hygiene products. Non-carcinogenic aggregated risks were estimated using the Aggregate Risk Index from EPAs and the Total Exposure Hazard Index from Korean government guidelines. For carcinogenic risk assessment, excessive cancer risk was estimated. Ingestion, especially food, was the major route for both cadmium and lead exposure. Smoking was also associated with high cadmium exposure. Exposure to lead from cosmetics was remarkable but not critical. In aggregate risk assessments, median cadmium and lead exposure did not exceed the reference value. Sex, age, smoking status, and income affected exposure levels, unlike to regional variations.

  • 중금속은 인류가 금속을 이용하기 시작하면서 위험인자로 대두되기 시작하여 산업화 과정과 함께 환경오염을 초래하였고 나아가 식품을 오염시키는 원인물질로 작용함으로써 인간의 건강을 위협하기에 이르렀다. 중금속은 체내에서 분해되기 어렵고 배출이 쉽지 않아 생물체에 축적되면 먹이 연쇄를 따라 농축되므로 먹이사슬의 최종소비자인 사람에게 식품의 중금속 오염은 심각한 문제다. 특히 수은, 납, 카드뮴은 식품 중에서 공통적으로 볼 수 있는 독성물질로 생체조직과 강한 결합을하여 생체 내에 축적되어 천천히 제거되는 유해물질이다. 본문에서는 국내.외의 연구결과를 토대로 식품의 중금속 오염현황, 위해성, 관리방안에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 황사는 장거리를 이동해 한반도 둥에 영향을 미치는데, 호흡기 질환, 눈 질환, 알레르기 등 각종 질환을 유발하고, 최근에는 중국의 산업화에 따라 납, 카드뮴 같은 독성금속과 발암물질 둥 유해 오염물질까지 포함하고 있어 건강에 위협을 주고 있다. 나아가 황사에 포함된 미세 입자들이 대기 중에서 화학반응을 일으켜 각종 산화물을 생성하는 까닭에 만성기관지염을 악화시키고, 노인과 영아의 호흡기 질환을 유발하기도 한다 그밖에 황사는 햇빛을 차단해 시정거리를 감소시키고 항공기 운항에도 영향을 미친다. (중략)
