A Study on Preference of Apartments Remodeling Items for Reducing Construction Waste (건설폐기물 발생저감을 위한 공동주택 리모델링 항목의 선호도에 대한 연구)

  • Since the Enforcement Decree of the Housing Act was changed in 2007, remodeling demands have increased. For this reason, many research studies are actively discussed for vitalizing remodeling, but countermeasure plan for generated construction waste is not enough. This study aims to provide basic data for the reduction plan of construction waste caused by the remodeling project through the investigation of apartments residents' priorities about remodeling elements for reducing construction waste. In this study, remodeling elements have been drawn through the literature investigation. As a result, subordinates were classified into 21 elements and superordinate were classified into 6 elements. Expert interviews were conducted to check the reliability about subordinate and superordinate elements of remodeling and the questionnaire survey were conducted to determine the residents preference of apartments remodeling elements. As a result of the questionnaire survey, we found out the characteristic of preference for apartments remodeling elements such as the period of apartment, the location and the financial condition respectively. This study presents a basic data for considering the remodeling as well as the apartment plans for the resident's preference. Further, many studies about the reduction plan of construction waste caused by the remodeling project will have to be discussed.

Resident's Assessment of Automated Vacuum Waste Collection System in New Public Housing Estates (신규 공공주택단지의 생활폐기물 자동집하시설 이용에 관한 거주자 평가 분석)

  • This research is to explore resident's assessment of the Automated Vacuum Waste Collection System (AVWCS), which is devised to attain sustainability of residential environment. A number of AVWCS has been installed in Gyeonggi Province, so 283 households in 11 new public housing estates of 5 cities participated in a self-administered questionnaire survey. The data collected from 133 respondents in for-sale housing estates and 150 participants in rental housing estates, and the primary findings were as follows: a vast majority of both owners and renters had neither been aware of nor used the system before moving to their current housing estate. Also, most of the respondents learned how to use the AVWCS from on-site housing management staff, and the learning among renters was greatly delayed. Renters were in stronger favor of the system than owners, and their satisfaction was greater than the counterpart. Although few items were unsatisfactory, many emphasized that AVWCS should be augmented with user-centered, environmentally friendly features, and also they viewed that the system would substantially contribute to sustainable urban environment.

  • The studies on eco-village have been focused on the notion of the village and methods to construct it. However, there haven't been enough studies to research changes of the village derived from dwellers of the village. This fact is being one of reasons to deliver many constructions of Eco-Villages being out of balance. Though the dweller is practical user of the village, planning methods concerning user's opinion are not used and even devaluated in the comparison to methods at the beginning of the planning. Thus, this study began to research dwellers' consciousness for Eco-Village and point out problems which can be happen in real life of Eco-Village.

  • Purpose: The objective of this research is to investigate and analyze the relationship between physical residential conditions and occupants' responses in apartment buildings by POE(Post-Occupancy Evaluation). The analysis results from this research will help to identify the indoor residential problems and find design solutions for improving overall residential indoor residential environment. Method: The occupant survey was conducted at four different apartment complex area at Cheongju City, Chungbuk Province, Korea. Combination of unbalanced indoor environmental conditions in residential building had difference of occupants' responses according to occupants' characteristics, such as gender, age, and so on. The survey collected data regarding the occupants' EQ(Environmental Quality) priorities to determine the weight of each environmental-quality factor (lighting, acoustic, thermal and indoor air quality). A paired comparison method was used to determine the weight by comparing the relative importance of the two factors based on occupant's survey response. Result: The output from this research is useful to understand the residential environment, occupants' satisfaction, preference, and identifies the current residential problems and finds an architectural solution in apartment buildings.

A Study on the Application of Welfare Service Type on the Basis of the Tenants Needs and Locational Characteristics in Each Housing (단지별 거주자의 요구 및 입지특성에 따른 복지 서비스 유형 적용에 관한 연구)

  • Within twenty years, Permanent Affordable Housing provided for people's security of housing in late 1980's yields the principles of equity with tenant's in new one supplied, thus being confronted by the requirements that existing welfare service for tenants should be improved. Reflecting on these, this study means to prepare the basic data for the welfare policy as applying welfare service types on basis of housing locational characteristics, tenants tier compared with welfare service needs of permanent affordable housing tenants. For achieving this aim, the range and mixed use mechanism of welfare service are investigated as reviewing the related research and findings. Based on this investigation, 7 types of welfare service(Independence, Half-support, Child care, Juvenile, Self-support, Social-mix, and Single household) are established. On the analysis of survey, the welfare service needs are investigated as grouping with locational characteristics and survey target. In addition, the welfare service types are reorganized by analysis of tenant's demographic and locational characteristic on each housing and are compared with tenants needs. Although, the demographic of permanent affordable housing generally shows that the tenants are constituted with aged people, the housing with high ratio of children and juvenile can be applied with Child Care type and Juvenile type. As a result of comparison, the ratio of independence type, juvenile type, and single household type are more on the large housing and housing on metropolitan area, and the ratio of half-support type and child care type are more on the small housing and housing on small city area.

여성사이트의 현황 분석 및 이용 실태에 관한 연구 - 대구지역 거주자를 중심으로 -

  • 여성네티즌들은 남성네티즌과는 다른 성향을 보인다. 그들은 결속력과 전파력이 강하고 익숙한 사이트에서 정보를 찾으려는 습성이 잇다. 그리고 한국의 경우 경제권을 대체로 여성이 쥐고 있기 때문에, 전자상거래의 타켓 또한 남성에서 여성으로 변하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구자는 Web 비즈니스에 있어서 중요성이 증대되고 있는 여성사이트에 대하여 실증분석 하고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 먼저 기존의 여성사이트들이 어떠한 형태로 이루어져 있는지를 살펴보았다. 또한 일반 사이트들과의 차별성을 두기 위해 시도하고 있는 기능들이나 서비스 등에는 어떠한 것들이 있는지를 알아보았다. 그리고 설문조사를 통하여 10대와 20대들의 여성사이트에 대하여 갖는 성향이나 특성 그리고 이용실태에 관하여 살펴보았으며 그 결과에 따른 여성사이트 활성화 전략을 제시하였다. 마지막으로 설문조사결과는 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 응답자중 33%만이 여성사이트를 방문해본 경험이 있으며, 그들 중 무응답자를 제외한 33.7%만이 컨텐츠 내용에 만족스러워 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따라 여성사이트 방문경험의 유무는 관련이 없는 것으로 분석된 반면, 관심있는 컨텐츠 분야에 있어서는 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 인터넷 사용시간에 따라 여성사이트의 방문경험에 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

A Status of Kitchen Planning of Units in Elderly Housing Facilities (노인주거시설 단위주호의 부엌가구디자인 및 사용실태)

  • This study investigated the status of kitchen of units in elderly housing facilities and the housing needs of residents. Compared with a lot of comprehensive and alternative studies on elderly housing facilities until now, specialized studies of behavior of elderly housing life and detailed dimensional study have hardly made. Therefore we intend to examine the status of kitchen planning on representative elderly housing facilities in Korea. As the methods of this study, we executed a field study into 4 representative elderly housing facilities in Korea. We visited each 2 units out of the outstanding 4facilities and surveyed the total 8 kitchens. Then we analyzed the space planning and kitchen furniture design of them and the state of kitchen commodities, and measured the kitchen equipment. In addition, we executed interview about satisfaction, preference, use from the residents. As a result, we could find out that depending on whether residents were sewed with meal offered from the facilities or not, the pattern of usage and commodities were quite different. It is necessary to supply the simplest spaces just for preparing some refreshment and tea are suitable. And for the self-cooking residents, much larger cabinets and utility rooms are additionally needed. Safety and functional aspect were quite well designed. Washing machines are usually built-in the kitchen cabinets, and residents are satisfied with this arrangement. We hope that the supplementary study about old people habit and behavior will be a good data of kitchen planning for Korean-type elderly housing units of facilities.

A Study on Factors that Improve Waterfront Satisfaction: Targeting Residents of Apartment Houses in the Tokyo's Coastal Area (수변 만족도를 향상시키는 요인에 관한 연구: 도쿄 임해지역 집합주택 거주자를 대상으로)

  • This study examines the factors contributing to waterfront satisfaction among different generations, utilizing a survey on the use and perception of waterfront areas by residents of apartment houses in Tokyo's coastal region. The variables used in this study are developed through a review of existing literature, focusing on factors related to waterfront usage. Specifically, we select the proximity to the waterfront, duration of stay at the waterfront, and frequency of visits to the waterfront as key variables for investigation. In addition, the study further incorporates aspects related to waterfront recognition, such as the space, user behavior, and management status of the waterfront. Utilizing these variables, we carry out a correlation analysis to investigate the association between generational use and perception of the waterfront and their satisfaction with water-related experiences. The results identify three key factors to enhance waterfront satisfaction: First, to increase visits from both younger and older generations, improving pedestrian access to the waterfront is essential. Second, for middle-aged and older generations, creating waterfront areas closer to their residences can reduce travel distance and time, encouraging more frequent use. Third, maintaining clean and well-kept waterfront spaces is fundamental for all generations to enjoy relaxing experiences, thereby improving overall satisfaction.

  • As the results of actual survey of indoor noise in apartment houses, it represents that plumbing noise and floor impact noise are most unsatisfactory factors to inhabitants. In this paper, the actual condition of plumbing noise in apartment houses was measured and the methods of plumbing noise reduction are suggested. For these suggestions, the actual survey of plumbing noise and the model test on structure-borne sound of water supply pipe and drain sound were carried out.

Investigation Research on the Residents Satisfaction Rating to the Floor Impact Sound in Apartment Buildings (공동주택 바닥충격음에 대한 거주자 만족도 조사 연구)

  • In this study, the satisfaction rating to the floor impact sound was investigated for the residents in the apartment Building where the business scheme had been approved after 2005. The results are compared with existing research. The questionnaire survey was conducted to the 597 residents in 14 apartments complex which were applied with standard floor structure and approval floor structure. Most of respondents(71.1 %) answered that the performance of floor impact sound insulation, in case of standard floor structure, was improved compared to the apartments where they used to live. Comparing with the questionnaire survey result of existing research, the answered ratio of 'less annoyed' and 'less loud' is somewhat increased.
