Image Segmentation Based on Fusion of Range and Intensity Images (거리영상과 밝기영상의 fusion을 이용한 영상분할)

  • This paper proposes an image segmentation algorithm based on fusion of range and intensity images. Based on Bayesian theory, a priori knowledge is encoded by the Markov random field (MRF). A maximum a posteriori (MAP) estimator is constructed using the features extracted from range and intensity images. Objects are approximated by local planar surfaces in range images, and the parametric space is constructed with the surface parameters estimated pixelwise. In intensity images the ${\alpha}$-trimmed variance constructs the intensity feature. An image is segmented by optimizing the MAP estimator that is constructed using a likelihood function based on edge information. Computer simulation results shw that the proposed fusion algorithm effectively segments the images independentl of shadow, noise, and light-blurring.

  • The car-following model is one of core models in Advanced Vehicle & Highway Systems (AVHS). The car-following model has been developed in aspects such as human factor and reduction error rates. However, the consideration of safety depending on weather condition has not been completed yet. In this paper, therefore, changes of driving condition for car-following due to different road condition were dealt with, and optimal safety distance corresponding to road condition such as dry, wet and snowy were computed. The GMIT(GM Model with Instantaneous T) model was picked over for simulation of adaptive cruise control applied the suggested optimal safety distance. As the results, the 1.7 times longer safety distance was required for wet road condition than dry road condition, and the 5.6 times longer safety distance was required for snowy road condition.

Comparison of a Point-Grid-Method and a Buffering-Method to Calculate Skidding Distance for Timber Harvest Planning (목재수확계획을 위한 집재거리 계산방법중 포인트그리드방법과 버퍼링방법의 비교분석)

  • The investigation was accomplished on the test area in Forest Practice Research Center in order to compare Point Grid method with Bufferring method in process of the calculation of the Actual Mean Skidding Distance with the GIS aided harvesting method. the investigation site amounted to 264.9 ha in area and 32.67 m in the road density, 306.1 m in road spacing. the Net Correction Factor (Kn) was 1.53 in both sides skidding. the theoretical mean skidding distance was 72.52 m. the shortest mean skidding distance amounted to 149.57 m with point grid method and 139.68 m with Buffering methode. skidding distance correction factor (Kr) was 2.15. actual mean skidding distance amounted to 251.51 m and factor of wood assortment skidding (Kg) was 3.29. when the tractor (Dongyang) and tower yader (Koller 303) are used on investigation site, the logging cost is calculated 11,808 Won with Tractor below 25% slope and 12,336 won with Tractor between 25~55% slope, 10,020 won with Tower Yarder more than 55% slope.

Unified Approach to Coefficient of Determination $R^2$ Using Likelihood Distancd (우도거리에 의한 결정계수 $R^2$에의한 통합적 접근)

  • Coefficient of determination $R^2$ is most frequently used descriptive measure in practical use of linear regression analysis. But there have been controversies on defining this measure in the cases of linear regression without the intercept, weighted linear regression and robust linear regression. Several authors such as Kvalseth(1985) and Willet and Singer(1988) proposed many variations of $R^2$ to meet the situations. However, theire measures are not satisfactory due to the lack of a universal principle. In this study, we propose a unfied approach to defining the coefficient of determination $R^2$ using the concept of likelihood distance. This new measure is in good accordance with typical $R^2$ in linear regression and, moreover, can be applied to nonlinear regression models and generalized linear models such as logit and log-linear models.

  • 본 논문은 3차원 메쉬 모델의 정점간 거리 및 DCT를 이용한 3차원 메쉬 모델 워터마킹 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 3차원 메쉬 모델의 임의의 정점간 거리를 이용하여 워터마킹하게 되며 삽입 시 임의의 정점간 거리집합을 DCT 변환 하여 그 계수 값에 워터마크가 삽입된다. 그러므로 정점간의 거리를 DCT변환하여 삽입함으로써 비지각성 및 여러 공격에 강인하다. 또한 워터마크 크기만큼의 여러 거리집합을 생성하여 사용함으로 지역패치 및 지역분할 개념으로써 부분적인 공격에 강인하며 3차원 메쉬 모델의 페이스모양에 상관없이 워터마크를 삽입 할 수 있다.

비거리 향상을 위한 드라이버 헤드의 공기역학적 형상연구

  • 현대의 스포츠는 과학기술의 발전과 함께 성장하고 있고 골프종목 역시 재료역학적, 공기역학적 발전에 따라 비거리를 점점 늘려가고 있다. 하지만 현재까지의 비거리에 대한 연구는 골프공과 골프채의 재료의 변화와 딤플이 있는 골프공의 공기역학적 연구에 집중해 있었고 요즘에 들어서야 클럽헤드의 공기역학적 형상에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 골프 경기 중 가장 먼 비거리를 만들어 내는 골프채인 드라이버의 단순화된 2차원 클럽헤드 형상을 설정하고 항력을 줄일 여러 가지 방법을 적용하여 최소의 항력을 갖는 헤드 형상을 찾아보았다. 연구결과 $10.2^{\circ}$의 로프트를 갖는 클럽헤드는 chord 길이가 face 높이의 3.2배이고, trailing edge가 face의 중심보다 전체 face높이의 10% 아래에 있을 때 가장 적은 항력을 얻을 수 있었다. 결과적으로 이 형상과 기존형상의 스윙 속도 차는 약 2mph로 5yard의 비거리 차이를 가져온다.

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 영상의 해상도를 부화소 기반의 새로운 적응적 선형보간법으로 변경하는 방법을 제안한다. 일반적 선형보간법에서 고정된 위치로 쓰이는 거리계수를 왜곡된 거리 계산에 의한 화소 가중치를 주는 방법으로 개선한다. 이를 계산하기 위하여 최소 평균 자승 에러(minimum mean square error, MMSE)를 이용한다. 원영상과의 차이를 최소화하는 왜곡 거리 계산을 위하여 이웃한 보간 화소와 왜곡거리를 참조하게 된다. 이를 사용하면 복잡도가 높지 않은 효과적인 화소 보간을 할 수 있고 실험 결과 일반적인 보간법과 비교할 때 PSNR(peak signal to noise ratio)과 주관적 화질 면에서 우수함을 알 수 있었다.

An Analytical Model for Predicting Heat Transport due to a Point Source in Coastal Water under a Spring-Neap Modulation of Tidal Currents (조류의 대.소조 변동이 존재하는 연안역에서의 점열원에 의한 열오염의 이동 예측을 위한 해석해 모형)

  • In this paper, an analytical solution of calculating the excess temperature field due to a point heat source is presented in the presence of spring-neap modulation of convective alongshore flow. The basic form of the solution is identical to that given by Jung et al. (2003) but the convective term in the exponential kernel function is extended and a spring-neap variation in the horizontal eddy diffusivity is newly introduced. A set of calculations have been performed to examine the sensitivity of the heat build-up to the change in current fields and turbulent dispersion. Results indicate that the excess temperature field is confined within the tidal excursion distance, while the excess temperature field beyond the distance is mainly controlled by the horizontal diffusion. The heat build-up within the distance is considerably affected by the spring-neap variation in the horizontal eddy diffusivity; the relatively high excess temperature more than 1$^{\circ}C$ is extended further when the eddy diffusivity has spring-neap modulation.

Factor Estimation For Food Wastes Collection Using GIS (GIS를 활용한 단독주택지역의 음식물쓰레기 수거요소 분석연구)

  • This study is to analyze collection factor of food wastes using GIS. For calculation of collection crews and equipment, It was measured velocity(43m/min), moving coefficient(1.9), moving distance(17,200/day), collection rate(0.313kg/day) on the basis of S2Dong. Moving coefficient was able to analyze straight distance of S2Dong using GIS and other areas were also applied to analyze straight distance of each area using same method. At N autonomous district, 10 persons of collection crews were necessary, but collection of food wastes by four forces resulted to be 11 persons of crews necessary. 7 vehicles were necessary, but 8 vehicles were needed by same reason.
