A Study on the Energy Consumption Cost in the Winter and Calorific Value by Insulated Gang-form (단열갱폼 적용에 따른 동절기 보양비 사용량 및 발열량 검토에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This paper aims to examine the insulation performance of insulated gang form by changing the energy (power) consumption and concrete calorific value to assist in concrete protection in cold weather. According to the test results, the general gang form will generate three times the energy (power) consumption for 12 hours after the concrete is poured. In contrast, insulated gang foam consumed no energy (power) for 21 hours after pouring. The final power consumption was 3.7 times higher than that of the general gang form, confirming the improved performance of insulated gang form with regard to energy (power) consumption. The calorific value examination shows that the calorific value changes significantly according to the change of outside temperature after concrete placement in the case of the general gang form. However, in the case of the insulated gang form, only a slight heat loss occurred in the part of the frame, and it showed a constant heating pattern from the concrete casting to the demolding of the mold.

  • 갱폼이라 함은 주로 고층 아파트에서와 같이 평면상 상ㆍ하부 동일 단면 구조물에서 외부벽체 거푸집과 거푸집 설치ㆍ해체작업 및 미장ㆍ치장(견출) 작업발판용 케이지(cage)를 일체로 제작하여 사용하는 대형 거푸집을 말한다. 여기서 케이지는 갱폼에서 외부벽체 거푸집 부분을 제외한 부분으로 거푸집 설치ㆍ해체작업, 후속 미장, 치장(견출) 등 작업을 안전하게 수행하는데 필요한 작업발판, 안전난간 등으로 구성되어 갱폼 거푸집에 결합된 부분이며, 상부 케이지는 갱품 케이지의 4단 작업발판 중 거푸집 설치ㆍ해체작업용으로 사용되는 상부 2단 작업발판 구성 부분이고, 하부 케이지는 미장ㆍ치장(견출) 작업용으로 사용되는 하부 2단 작업발판 구성 부분을 말한다.(중략)

  • Gangform, compared to the traditional forms, is a systemized form which can reduce construction duration and cost by the advantage of using it repeatedly. However, transportation and climbing process of the Gangform is highly dependant on the performance of tower crane. Gangform climbing process takes one day out of six to seven days of a structural work cycle. Tower cranes can not be used in other lifting works when they lift the Gangform during the structural work cycle, causing the delay in the construction project. Numerous efforts and researches have been done in domestic and international industry to solve such limitations of Gangform climbing process. Especially, "A Study on the Development of Automatic Gangform Climbing System for Apartment Housing Construction"has suggested a conceptual model which can climb the Gangform system without a tower crane. In this paper, the technical and economical feasibilities of previously proposed Automatic Gangform climbing system are examined by evaluating its structural stability and lifting load reduction effect.

  • This paper verifies the superiority of warming work in winter by applying the insulation gang-form to the apartment housing site and analyzes the economic feasibility of the application. According to the experimental results, the actual cost of warming work was about 52 million won less than planned, and 160 million won less than the existing average.(Note - The cost of gang form material increased from 260 million won to 310 million won after the change) As a result, the construction cost could be reduced by about 110 million won. As the costs of warming work can change depending on the number of floors, the building number, and the area of each site, it is deemed necessary to conduct a thorough review in advance at the site where the cost of warming work is to be applied.

  • Gangform compared with conventional wood and steel form is systemized form which has a capability to install and dismantle form at a time without repeating to assembly and disassembly small members. Gangform compared with ACS has some problems such as 1) Tower Crane load increase, 2) increase in safety incidence during climbing Gangform, 3) decrease in detachment operation productivity, 4) stop work due to climate impacts, and 5) decrease in labor cost, productivity, quality. A conceptual design model of automated Gangform climbing system is suggested for apartment housing construction to show its technical/economic feasibility and workers' safety while increasing operation productivity and concrete quality.

Checklist Development for Preventing of Major Accidents of Formwork Using Gang-form (갱폼 공사 중대재해 사고 예방을 위한 체크리스트 개발)

  • Gang-foam is used in many construction projects because it is not only precise in terms of vertical, horizontal, and specifications, but also easy to install and dismantle. However, major accidents occur every year due to non-compliance with safety rules and work order, also manuals and checklists currently in use are insufficient. Thirty-seven surveys was conducted by analyzing major accident cases of domestic gang-form construction project and deriving 20 risk factors and 43 check points. Based on the survey, the importance and appropriateness of check points were evaluated. As a result of this study, a checklist was presented, check points were placed in the order of importance based on assembly, installation, dismantling, and lifting of the Gang-form process. The checklist was organized so that workers could comply with safety rules and work order. Through this, it is expected to prevent major accidents and contribute to efficient safety management.
