Lots of applications that represent and utilize geographic information on the Web have emerged on the Web. In addition, personal electronic devices equipped with GPS function, which can record personal location information in real time, are being increasingly adopted by people. Such geographic information enables Internet business companies to provide users more useful services based on the location information. Most successful Internet business companies have adopted and utilized Web 2.0 technologies, which promote users' participation and emphasize openness and information sharing. Especially, using open APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) can reduce the costs of a program development. In this study, we design and develop a banner advertisement system based on geographic information using open APIs. We propose a business model using the advertisement system, and a prototype system has been illustrated in order to explain the proposed business model. Finally, we summarize the benefits of our system by describing factors generating values of the proposed business model. Hopefully, main ideas proposed in this paper can be applied to real industry sectors that use geographic information widely such as travel, real estate and so on.

본 논문에서 제안하는 모바일 어플리케이션은 증강현실 기술을 적용한 정보공유 플랫폼으로 일상 혹은 특별한 여정에서 찍은 사진에 대한 확장 정보를 제공한다. 이 정보들을 통해 자신의 위치를 기준으로 지역을 구체적으로 알아볼 수 있으며 개인의 지역명소를 찾아 공유한다. 누구나 친숙하게 활용할 수 있도록 개발된 모바일 어플리케이션은 지역경제 및 전통시장 활성화에 대한 솔루션으로 제공이 가능하다.

This paper reviewed the main characteristics of Web 2.0 and discussed the possible applications related to National Geographic Information Systems. In general, Web 2.0 refers to a next generation World Wide Web environment that let people participate and share information and data. The recent examples using Web 2.0 with geo-spatial information are convincing us apply Web 2.0 into National Geographic Information Systems. In order to imply Web 2.0 into National Geographic Information Systems, we should consider not only technological advancements related to providing the services but also shifting the relationship between information provider(government agencies) and end-users. In other words, new platform should be provided to users so that users can easily create, share, and mash-up data, which was previously managed and owned only by government agencies. Successful integration Web 2.0 platform into National Geographic Information Systems require some important points such that; 1) the consideration for the data should be changed from closed and agency owned data to opened and shared data. 2) data standards should be established to integrate all data from different sources. 3) real change need to be happened rather than different naming on the same system.

This study was done to develop PDA based application system for forest geographic information with GPS. The major results obtained in this study were as follows. A PDA based application program was developed to work on $Microsoft^{TM}$ PocketPC 2002 and 2003 operating system. The screen of PDA displays a 1:25,000 digital topographical map adopted DXF format converted from PC, and the map data with 1:2,500 to 1:30,000 on PDA can be zoomed in or out to five levels. Current position and navigating path received from GPS can be displayed on the screen and be saved in PDA. Information selected among layers of digital topographic map in DXF format can be converted into binary files which can be used on forest geographic information software. This can compress DXF files to 90% in size, and the processing speed of PDA was improved. The forest geographic information management system can be used to manage sample plots on which forest inventory is done, with the help of the sub-menus and grid index values with position information received from GPS. Forest workers can in quire forest geographic information such as forest type, location, forest roads, soil erosion control dams using forest geographic information management system in the field. The forest geographic information management system can provide current position and mobile path information to people who enjoy forest related activities like mountain-climbing, sightseeing, and visiting to historic spots.

지리정보의 중요성이 널리 인식되고 사회 각 분야에서 지리정보에 대한 수요가 날로 증가되고 다양해지고 있지만 GIS의 개발, 설치, 유지, 보수의 어려움에 따른 고가의 비용과 시장에 대한 적응력부족으로 GIS의 광범위한 활용이 저해 받고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 개인을 위한 GIS 서비스나 응용프로그램의 하나의 기능 컴포넌트로서의 GIS 서비스가 GIS의 주류로 발전할 것으로 예측되고 있지만 이를 지원하기 위한 GIS 개발, 배포 모델과 기반기술이 결여되어 있다. 그러나, 사용자가 월 정액요금을 지불하고 인터넷 또는 인트라넷을 통하여 ASP (Application Service Provider)에 의해 원격 중앙 서버에 설치, 관리되고 있는 소프트웨어 응용프로그램을 사용하는 형식은 혁신적인 소프트웨어 개발과 배포 모델로서 차세대 컴퓨터 환경의 기초로 각광 받고 있으며 이를 GIS에 적용할 때 GIS의 광범위한 응용과 원활한 유통을 크게 추진할 것으로 기대된다. 그러므로, 현시점에서 GIS ASP를 위한 합리적인 모델과 이에 근거한 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 대한 연구와 개발이 절실히 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ASP 환경 하에서 더욱 신속하고 편리한 GIS 개발, 통합, 배포를 가능하게 하고 보다 나은 질의 GIS ASP 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 마이크로소프트의 ASP 플랫폼인 .NET 기반의 3 계층 GIS ASP 모델을 중심으로 하는 GIS ASP 소프트웨어 플랫폼의 설계를 제시하였다.

점점 더 많은 디지털 카메라와 휴대폰이 고해상도 카메라가 장착되고 대용량의 저장공간이 제공되면서 사용자들의 사진촬영 빈도가 증대하고 있다. 조만간 휴대폰의 저장된 사진을 효과적으로 관리하고 브라우징할 수 있는 기술이 필요한 시기가 올 것이다. 본 논문은 휴대폰이나 디지털 카메라 혹은 카메라가 장착되어 사진을 찍을 수 있는 모든 형태의 휴대단말에서 촬영된 개인사진을 지리적 위치정보를 이용하여 자동으로 분류하는 시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 시간정보를 이용하여 촬영시간의 근접성을 이용해 순차적으로 자동 분류하는 시스템과는 달리 위치정보를 이용하여 촬영위치에 따라 비순차적으로 자동 분류한다. 촬영위치 근접성을 결정하기 위해 밀도기반 클러스터링 알고리즘을 사용하여 전체 사진을 대분류하고 기존의 자동사진 분류방식에서는 다루지 않았던 일상사진과 비일상사진을 분류하고, 대분류된 사진을 시간정보를 이용하여 소분류 함으로서 자동 사진분류 성능을 높이고자 한다.

Recently, as the Geospatial Web is combined with the Semantic Web in order to keep pace with the recent trends of information technology emphasizing interoperability, intelligence and individualization, the Geo Semantic Web was proposed, which is an intelligent geographical information Web service technology that can provide users with suitable information by connecting and integrating various types of spatial information and extensive aspatial information on the Web efficiently. For the Geo Semantic Web service, we need to develop Geo Ontology processing technologies that enable computers to process knowledge and information scattered around in the Web environment automatically. However, standards for Geo Ontology processing technologies have nod been established yet, and standardization organizations and various groups and agencies are conducting relevant studies. This paper analyzed various base theories and technologies related to Geo Ontology and developed a Geo Semantic Web system. The Geo Semantic Web system comprises Query Processing Manager that analyzes and processes Geo Semantic queries and manages sessions, Ontology Manager that generates and queries Geo Ontology and extracts spatial/aspatial data, and Clients. Finally, this paper proved the utility of the Geo Semantic Web system by applying it to a hypothetical scenario where Geo Semantic queries are required.

According as marine leisure industry has developed and the demand of leisure culture has increased rapidly, a desire about service which supply marine safety and connect marine information is enlarging. We wish to develop contents of download form that supply geographic information of Electronic Navigational Chart(ENC) in the marine that is digitalized to carrying along terminal of WIPI base and various informations for marine leisure. For this, DB that offer ENC and additional information should be constructed. Also, we need server(CPS; Contents provider Server) that offer required contents. In this paper, we design web retrieval component which store request information to database. When consumer required necessary information through personal mobile device, CPS can inform that. So, we wish to develop web retrieval agent component that parse informations in various World Wide Webs, and store to database.

If using crime map which represents criminal section that violent crimes targeting women frequently happened, the police could prevent additional crimes by positioning themselves intensively in expected crime zones and each individual could avoid being damaged by referring information of criminal zones. In this paper, by analyzing crimes targeting women and offender information which is provided in public-opened datum portal, we suppose a system which prevents crimes that calculates locational danger and, by considering location and age group of users, provides user-customized information of danger. By crawling the criminals datum which is provided in public-opened datum portal, It collects them. About the areas which happened sexual crimes, calculating danger of crime based on statistical crime information including criminal information, residence of offenders, areas which happened sexual crimes, sentences and the number of crime, this system is able to visualize the areas which sexual crimes happened based on information of danger grade representing on user's location. The score of danger calculated in location unit can provide criminal information according to location and ages of users by interacting GIS.
