지난 2008대규모 해킹 개인정보 유출 등 보안 사고로 얼룩진 한 해였다. 중국발 해킹으로 인해 국내 대표 오픈마켓 회원 1,000개인정보가 유출됐고, 포털 사이트의 고객 상담정보가 해커에 의해 탈취됐으며, 정유회사 고객정보 1,100내부 직원에 의해 유출되는 등 다양한 형태의 보안 사고가 발생했던 한해였다. 지난 십여년에 결쳐 진행된 정보화혁명으로 인해, 거의 모든 정보들이 디지털화되고 인터넷을 통한 유통이 일반화되면서 정보보호 이슈는 날이 갈수록 심화되고 있는 실정이다. 인터넷이 우리 사회에 가져 올 순기능은 형언할 수 없을 만큼 크지만 개인정보 침해를 비롯한 역기능 또한 심각한 수준에 이르고 있다. 향후 유비쿼터스 시대 도래 등과 더불어 다양한 개인 맞춤형 IT 서비스가 더욱 확산된다면 개인정보 보호와 프라이버시에 대한 이슈는 지금보다 더 첨예하게 대두될 것으로 예상된다. 더 많은 정보사회의 편익을 누리기 위해 개인정보의 적절한 수집과 활용은 계속될 것이기 때문이다. 그런 의미에서 개인정보 보호는 고도 정보화 사회를 위한 기본 전제조건이자, 결정적인 신뢰요소다. 그리고 지금은 우리 사회 의 개인정보보호 수준제고를 위해 모두의 지혜가 필요한 시점이다.

사회가 발전함에 따라 개인정보의 의미는 인격권과 재산권이 혼재된 새로운 의미로 그 범위가 확대되고 있다. 개인정보의 범위에는 SMS, 음성통화 내역, 사진, 영상 등 개인을 식별해 프라이버시를 침해할 수 있는 정보를 비롯해 마케팅에 활용 가능한 주민등록번호, 계좌번호, 카드번호, 거래내역, 신용정보 즉, 경제적인 효용(편익)을 얻기 위해 기업에게 제공하는 식별정보 등이 모두 개인정보에 포함된다. 최근 발생한 일련의 개인정보 유출사고와 법적 공방은 개인과 관련된 다양한 정보를 보호하기 위해 기업이 추가적인 조치가 필요하다는 것을 의미한다. 하지만 기업이 개인정보를 보호하기 위해서는 기존 방화벽으로 대표되는 외부와 내부를 차단하는 보안에 대한 관점 및 체계로는 한계를 지닌다.

개인정보 유출을 위한 공격이 발생하기 시작한 것은 이미 오래전이다. 이런 공격은 고도의 기술을 이용하여 사용자가 인지하지 못한 상황에서 시도되는 경우도 있었으나 대부분의 경우 정보보호에 대한 상식이 부족한 일반인들을 대상으로 자신의 중요 정보를 직접 제공하게 만드는 사회공학적인 공격 방법이 주류를 이루었다. 이러한 사회 공학적인 공격 방법은 비록 매우 허술해 보이지만. 해커들 사이에서는 아직까지도 가장 쉽게 정보를 획득할 수 있는 방법으로 인식되고 있다 최근에는 피싱(Phishing), 파밍(Pharming) 등과 같은 사회 공학적인 공격 방법과, 인터넷이라는 전자 매체, 그리고, 고도의 공격 기술 등이 복합적으로 적용된 개인정보 유출 공격이 시도되고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 개인정보 유출을 위해 시도되는 공격에는 어떠한 방법들이 있는지 알아보고, 이들이 사용하는 기술적인 공격 방법에 대해 분석하며, 이를 극복하기 위한 방안에 대해 살펴보기로 한다.

Numerous private corporations and public institutions are collecting personal information through the diverse methods for the purpose of sales, promotion and civil services, and using personal information for the profits of the organizations and services. However, due to immaturity of the technical, managerial measures and internal control for the collected personal information, the misuse, abuse and the leaks of personal information are emerged as major social issues, and the government also is promoting implementation of the act on the privacy protection by recognizing the importance of the personal information protection. This research describes on the measures to detect the anomaly by analyzing personal information treatment patterns managed by the organizations, and on the measures to coup with the leaks, misuse, and abuse of personal information. Particularly, this research is intended to suggest privacy leakage monitoring system design, which can be managed by making the elements related to personal information leaks to numeric core risk indexes to be measured objectively.

몇 달 전 발생했던 옥션의 개인정보 해킹 사건 등에서 볼 수 있듯이 개인정보는 한번 유출되면 명의도용 등으로 악용될 수 있어 기업뿐만 아니라 해당 정보의 주체인 일반 이용자에게까지 정신적.경제적 피해를 야기할 수 있다. 최근 개인정보 유출 사고는 내부자의 고의적 범죄, 관리 부주의 등에서 외부인의 악의적 해킹에 의한 기술적 침해로 진화하고 있다. 이에 따라 개인정보보호 기술(PET, Privacy Enhancing Technologies)이 어느 때보다 중요해지고 있다.

Currently Internet and IT infrastructure of Korea has maintained the world's highest levels. But in another aspect, security incident, especially personal information breaches occur frequently. As personal information leakage happened, the companies will be negatively affected. And to prevent this, they have implemented to use a variety of security solutions from information security vendors. Therefore we set up hypotheses that the companies experienced personal information leakage as well as information security companies providing security solutions will be affected by the leakages. So this paper verify hypotheses about the impact of the value of information security companies, through analysing stock price fluctuation of the companies. We found that the stock price of information security companies has increased as personal information leakage happened. And differences according to leakage volumes and types of business are not statistically significant. But there are significant differences according to business classification of information security companies.

Mobile applications stores such as Google Play Store and Apple App Store, are widely used to distribute a variety of applications including finance, shopping, and entertainment. Recently, however, vulnerabilities of the mobile applications are likely to violate users' privacy such as personal information leakage. In this paper, we classify mobile applications that can be download from mobile stores, and analyze the personal information that could be leaked when users are using the mobile applications. As a result of analysis, we found that personal information are leaked in some widely used mobile applications in practice. On the basis of our experiment results, we propose some mitigations to enhance security of the mobile applications and prevent leakage of personal information.

The purpose of this study is to examine Internet users' psychological anxiety about the possibility of personal information leakage. The investigator examined the difference of psychological anxiety focusing on the possibility of personal information leakage according to the use amount of Internet, the number of joined sites and the frequency of e-commerce transaction. Study findings show that women felt more psychological anxiety than men did. In addition, people who used Internet more frequently felt more psychological anxiety. However, the number of joined sites and the average frequency of e-commerce transaction in a month had no significant influence upon users' psychological anxiety about the possibility of personal information leakage.

Personal information leakage in financial corporations including three card corporations has occurred constantly this year. It is due to incomplete encryption system and negligent personal security. Solicitors are known as a cause of information leakage because they operate with leaked information. Information leakage can cause secondary damage with mental demage to person and result in a drop in reliability as well as an operating loss in financial corporations. Also because it can destroy a base of credit society, prevention of recurrence is badly needed. The government finally announced 'general measures for prevention of information leakage in the field of finance' with sanctions reinforcement and restriction to collect, possess, provide personal information as the main agenda. And a related law revision is going in the National Assembly. In this paper, effectiveness of government measures is weighed with the cause analysis of information leakage and countermeasure for prevention of information leakage is found.

BYOD(Bring your own device) 환경에서는 개인의 스마트 기기를 이용하여 회사 시스템을 이용하는 것으로, 개인의 단말을 업무에 이용하는 만큼 사원의 개인정보, 고객의 개인정보, 신규 사업 아이템, 상품의 거래내역, 계좌번호 등 유출시 막대한 손해를 발생시키는 사내 정보 유출에 대한 문제가 발생 가능하다. 회사 시스템을 관리하기 위해 개개인이 사용하는 다양한 종류의 단말에 맞는 설정이 필요함으로 즉각적인 대응이 어렵다. 때문에 위 같은 문제를 해결하고자 삼성이 개발한 듀얼 OS 구조의 KNOX가 제안되었으나, 특정 단말과 OS에 의존적이어서 다양한 종류의 단말에 적용하기 위해서는 지속적 개발이 필요한 단점이 있다. 다른 방법으로 MDM(Mobile Device Management) 시스템을 제안하였지만 새로운 모바일 단말에 대한 즉각적인 대응이 힘들며, 유지보수에 많은 시간과 투자가 필요한 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 단말에 의존적이지 않으면서, 기업의 정보를 보호하기 위하여 클라우드 기반 정보 유출 방지 플랫폼을 설계하고 제안한다.
