In the age of information overload such as Internet of Things(IoT), big data, and cloud computing, Data and informations are collected to processed regardless of the individual's will. The purpose of this paper presents a model related to personal information overlord, information privacy risk, information privacy concern (collection, control, awareness) and personal information privacy protective response. The results of this study is summarized as follows. First, personal information overload significantly affects information privacy risk. Second, personal information overload significantly affects information privacy concern(collection, control, awareness) Third, information privacy risk significantly affects collection and awareness among information privacy concern, but control does not significantly affects. This results shows that users are cognitively aware the information risk through collection and awareness of information. Users can not control information by self, control of information does not affects. Last, information privacy concern(collection and awareness significantly affect information privacy protective response, but information privacy concern (control) does not affect. Personal information users are concerned about information infringement due to excessive personal information, ability to protect private information became strong.

A theoretical model of information overload (Jackson and Farzaneh, 2012) with its three influential components (i.e., time, technology, and social networks) was empirically tested in the context of news consumption behavior considered as a communicative outcome. Using a national sample of South Korean adults (N = 1166), data analyses identified perceived information overload and large/diverse social networks positively associated with active and passive news consumption. Findings may imply the existence of individually varying cognitive threshold (i.e., tipping point), if crossed individuals cannot process information any further. News consumers may keep searching and receiving information to verify factuality of news even when they feel overloaded.

세이즈메이커의 사람들은 정보 과잉에 대해 한가지 해결책을 가지고 있다. 로이터 통신의 두가지 연구(1996년의 "정보에 대한 굶주림"과 1997년 "스크린 응시")는 정보과잉이 점점 악화되고 있는 심각한 문제임을 확인시켜준다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 사내 소스들로부터의 4,000개가 넘는 기업 소스들을 재구분하고 있는 기업정보포탈(Enterprise Information Potal EIP)인 세이즈메이커는 사내 소스들로부터 나오는 정보를 외부적으로 온라인상에서 이용 가능한 것들과 함께 결합시키고 있다. 그의 분류와 구성, 하이퍼텍스트연결, 콘텐츠 능력의 개인화는 오토노미(자치)의 테크놀로지로부터 나온다.

인터넷 검색 기술은 발전을 거듭하고 있지만 불필요한 정보의 과잉현상으로 개인에게 필요한 정보나 서비스를 찾기 위해서는 많은 시간과 노력이 필요하다. 웹 사이트 개인화(web site personalization)는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 노력으로 맞춤형 정보를 제공한다. 특히 차세대 인터넷 접속 매체인 PDA나 휴대폰, 스마트폰 등 모바일 단말기가 보편화되면서 작은 화면이나 낮은 대역폭과 같은 무선 환경의 단점을 극복하고 개인화의 장점을 얻을 수 있는 연구들이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 사이트에서 제공되는 서비스 페이지들을 사용자의 개인별 선호도에 따라 쉽게 접근할 수 있도록 추출하여 제공함으로써 단순히 웹 페이지에 대한 사용자 접근 패턴을 이용한 기존 모바일 개인화 시스템의 단점을 극복한 웹 서비스 페이지 중심의 모바일 개인화 기법을 제안한다.

개인화는 사용자에게 개인의 필요와 목적, 지식, 흥미 또는 상황에 맞는 상품과 서비스 그리고 정보를 제공한다. 개인화 서비스의 과정을 통하여 개인 사용자는 자동적으로 선별된 정보만을 제공받음으로써 정보화 사회의 정보과잉 문제를 완화하고, 시간의 절약을 가져올 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 제주물산업의 주요 분야인 병입수, 기능성 주류 및 음료, 수치료 등에 적용할 수 있는 개인화 기술에 대해 연구하고 제주 맥주를 위한 개인화 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 연구의 성과로 제주물산업을 통해 개발되는 다양한 상품과 서비스에 대해 고객 개별적인 맞춤형 서비스를 제공해 줌으로 해서 고객의 만족도를 극대화하고 제주물산업의 상품을 글로벌 브랜딩화하는데 기여할 수 있다.

한국의 사이버 위협에 대한 대응은 북한이라는 변수 때문에 안보적 접근 강화가 불가피한 측면이 있다. 그러나 과잉 안보화는 개인과 사회 차원의 안보를 약화시킬 수도 있다. 이 글은 안보적 시각에 경도된 사이버안보 담론에 대한 문제를 제기하고 개인과 사회, 국가가 직면하게 되는 다양한 사이버위협에 대한 포괄적 대응의 필요성을 제기하고 있다.

현재의 정보 과적재(information overload) 상황은 대량의 정보 가운데서 사용자의 관련 정보에 대한 요청을 도와 불필요한 정보로부터 막기 위한 도구가 매우 필요한 실정이다. 이러한 도구중 대표적으로 사용되는 웹 검색 엔진과 같은 정보 검색 시스템의 단점은 적합한 검색용어를 선택해야만 하는 점과, 결과에 대한 효율적인 요약이 제공되지 않는다는 점이다.따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 검색 엔진에서의 단점을 보완하여 사용자를 정보 과잉 상황에서의 불필요한 정보로부터 보호하기 위해, 사용자의 프로파일을 기반으로 하여 정보를 개인화된 요약과 함께 제공하는 정보 여과 에이전트(information filtering agent)인 '사용자 맞춤의 문서 요약을 제공하는 정보 여과 에이전트 시스템'을 제안한다.

인터넷의 발달은 정보의 폭발적인 증가를 가져오게 되었고 더불어 일반인은 어디서나 쉽게 정보를 습득할 수 있게 되었지만 늘어나는 정보의 양이 원하는 정보의 습득을 방해하게 되었다. 이러한 정보 과잉현상을 해결하기 위해 사용자가 원하는 정보만을 여과해 주는 정보 여과 시스템이 연구되고 있다. 정보 여과 시스템은 사용자의 관심도를 파악하기 위 해 사용자 프로파일을 구축하고 이를 학습을 통해 갱신한다. 하지만 기존의 개인 프로파일을 이용한 정보 여과 시스템은 개인의 관심도를 분석하기 위해 에이전트가 학습하는 시간이 너무 오래 걸린다는 단점과 사용자의 능력에 따라 적합한 문서를 검색하기 위한 정보가 너무 한쪽으로만 치우치는 우려가 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 효과적인 프로파일 학습을 위해 비슷한 관심도를 갖는 다른 사용자로부터 학습을 받는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해 그룹 프로파일을 구축하는 방법과 그룹 프로파일을 이용한 효과적인 정보 여과 방법, 그리고 그룹 프로파일 학습방법에 대해 기술한다.

최근 WWW 환경에서 콘텐츠들이 대량으로 제공되는데 이용자들은 이러한 정보과잉으로 인해 정보를 제대로 소화하지 못하고 있는 형편이다. 따라서 본고에서는 가상 공간에서 개인별 맞춤 정보서비스를 제공하는 전문도서관 MyLibrary(MrCyberLibrary)의 모델을 제시하고자 한다. MrCyberLibrary는 각 연구원의 프로젝트들을 지원하는 My Project, 관심있는 전자저널을 선택하여 링크시키고 최신호가 나오면 New 표시가 나타나는 My Favorite Journal 등을 포함하여 각종 도서관 정보(대출 이력, 예약, 연체) 확인과 희망도서/원문복사 신청 조회를 할 수 있는 모듈들로 구성된다.

Problems related to information overload and harmful information have already expanded to national social problems as well as personal problems. This study explores the causes of Internet addiction, exposure to harmful information, malicious comments, fake information/information manipulation, and new alternatives that have recently been felt as social problems. Assuming that existing technologies/policies were not applied effectively, psychological cause analysis was performed for the fundamental problem approach. As a result, internal problems such as obsession with knowledge/understanding of wrong information/black and white stereotypes and prejudice were analyzed as main causes. Each proposed solution aims to help improve national technology/policy regarding internet addiction and blocking harmful information.
