Design and Application of a Motivation Model in Mobile Learning Environments (모바일 학습 환경에서의 동기 모형에 관한 설계 및 적용)

  • 이동 통신 가입자 수가 빠르게 늘어가면서 무선 인터넷 기술은 다양한 형태의 데이터 제공이 가능해 지고 이에 대한 교육적 활용에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 이에 따라 무선 인터넷만의 장점인 이동성, 실시간성, 휴대성, 편리성, 개별화, 차별화 등을 이용하여 학습에 적용하는 것은 매우 중요한 의미를 지닌다. 또한 학습에 있어서 학습하고자 하는 욕구인 동기가 중요시되어야 하며 이에 따라 학습 성취도는 큰 영향을 가진다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 보편적으로 잘 알려진 Keller의 ARCS 모형을 기반으로 하여 무선 인터넷 환경에 적합하도록 수정, 보완하여 동기 모형을 제시하고 적용하고자 한다. 본 모형의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 개별화 및 차별화에 중점을 두었다. 모바일 환경의 가장 큰 특징인 개별화, 차별성을 부각시켜 동기 전략에 적용하였다. 둘째, 학습자 진단에 비중을 두어 설계하였다. 모바일에서 개별화의 가장 큰 기준이 되므로 정확한 진단을 할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째, 무선 인터넷에 적합한 동기 전략을 제시하여 단계별 적용을 용이하도록 하였다. 넷째, 평가 및 피드백 후 교사에 의한 학생 개개인의 결과를 제시하도록 하였으며, 이를 통해 후속 학습에 도움이 되도록 하였다. 또한, 본 동기 모형을 초등학교 3학년 쓰기 활동에 적용하였다.

  • It's difficult to find efforts for individualization other than suggesting simple, branching level learning materials among the developed courseware. The reason is primarily attributed to the facts that the courseware itself is not flexible, a fixed structure which is not reusable, and numerous costs and time should be consumed to develop one. In the same context of the appearance of the object-oriented concept in the method of software development, the concept of 'learning object' has appeared in the development of courses and contents, paving the way toward the possibility of designing versatile courses through the learning object. In the learning object-based course design, however, it still has similar shape and structure to the existing courseware, and the effort to realize the individualized learning by utilizing the learning object is not sufficient, as well. In this study, I suggest a outlined learning object model which can support the individualized learning by expanding the existing learning object, and based on th is model. design a instructional model that can show an individualized learning path, based on the ADDIE model.

  • Individualized instruction only in the off-line classroom is not enough because elementary school students have various levels and tendencies. In recent years there are a lot of efforts to use online learning, and they are valuable. But the current online learning management systems are not utilized effectively in the elementary school. So this study suggests utilization plan of online learning management system through Moodle which can present and perform both learning objectives and learning contents for individualized instruction in elementary schools.

  • To generate individualized and adaptive course, it's required to have the foundation structure in which learning objects are connected with each other with logical relevances. Each learner can have peculiar learning path at each point of time of learning through the logical relevancy between those learning objects and various links, considering individual learner. The purpose of this study is to design a learning object-basis individualized learning system structure, considering semantic sequencing by learning task types. It is our understanding that the individualized learning system design model of this study, considering the relevancy between learning objects, can be a fresh trial to accommodate semantic learning and true educational spirits in e-Learning at this point of time when criticism, such as the learning object based course design is simply a collection of meaningless objects, etc., is becoming influential.

  • The change into the knowledge based information society requires a transformation of educational paradigm. Accordingly, intelligent learning and distance education are attracting a fair amount of attention. To apply the instructional learning method in this field, we need to consider a individualization of learning, as it were, abstraction of fact and path through learning, which is based on learner's traits, this focus entails a argument for individualized reasoning strategy. Therefore, in this paper, we design a learner's cognitive union, which is based on X-Neuronet(eXtended Neuronet), represent learner's hierarchical knowledge is able to self-learn, and grows adaptive union by proprietor. Additionally, we propose a individualized reasoning strategy, which relies upon learner's cognitive union, and verify the validity.

  • 웹 상에서 이루어진다 하더라도 수업이라는 것은 일반적인 정보를 제공하는 형태와는 구별이 되어야한다. 학습자로 하여금 능동적으로 학습에 참여하도록 하며, 학습자의 현재 상태를 고려하여 적절한 학습과제를 제공해 주기 위해서는 학습자의 특성 못지않게 지식모듈간의 관련성 또한 중요하게 고려되어야 하는 내용이다. 일반적으로 지식이라고 하는 것은 상호간의 복잡한 관계로 얽혀있는 그래프 구조인데 반해 웹 코스웨어는 대부분 교과서의 형태와 같은 트리 구조인 선형적인 흐름을 따르고 있다. 이러한 형태에서는 개별화된 학습경로 또한 제한적일 수밖에 없다. 본 연구에서는 개별화 학습의 가능성을 제시하며 코스 설계에 있어 융통적인 구성단위가 되는 학습객체를 기반으로 하여, 지식간 관련성을 고려하여 개별화된 학습경로를 제시해 줄 수 있는 코스 설계의 가능성을 찾고자한다.

  • 지금까지의 코스웨어는 주로 우수아와 일반아를 대상으로 제작되어 왔다. 그러나 본 연구는 초등학교 학습 장애아들을 대상으로 개별화 학습 ICT 활용을 위한 멀티미디어 코스웨어를 제작하였다. 특히 학습 동기와 흥미도를 강화하여 학습 부진 요소를 제거할 수 있는 방안을 모색하였다. 그리고 다양한 교육정보화 매체를 활용하여 자기 주도의 학습을 할 수 있도록 멀티미디어 저작도구를 사용하여 단계별 개별화 학습자료를 설계하고 개발하였다. 이를 통해 학습 장애아들이 정확한 지식을 습득할 수 있고, 사물에 대한 정확한 개념과 관심을 가질 수 있도록 하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for mathematics teaching and learning when using AI-based educational platforms that support personalized mathematics learning. To this end, we selected five platforms(Knock-knock! Math Expedition, knowre, Khan Academy, MATHia, CENTURY) and analyzed how the AI-based educational platforms for mathematics reflect the three elements(PLP, PLN, PLE) to support personalized learning. The results of this study showed that although the characteristics of PLP, PLN, and PLE implemented on each platform varied, they were designed to form PLEs that allow learners to make their autonomous decisions about learning based on PLP and PLN. The significance of this study can be found in that it has improved the understanding and practicability of personalized mathematics learning with the AI-based educational platforms.

  • In recent years, amount of studies on application of wetbased educational system are proceeding in educational field. This study proposes design and implementation for web-based learning system using WMT in order to practise assistance learning between teacher and students on the web. For system design and implementation, this study utilizes Windows 2000 Server and Windows Media Technology. Using WMT, we make teaming materials and put them in web-based educational system. It should be possible to make teaming in accordance with Windows Media Player for a long-distance students. As a result, this study expects to accomplish a web-based learning between teacher and student on the web.

Effects of Individualized Instruction Using Web in 'Homepage Development' Lesson ('홈페이지 만들기' 단원에서 웹을 활용한 개별화 수업의 효과)

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of individualized instruction on students' achievement, course interest, attitude in Homepage Development lesson. A total of 204 eighth-graders in a girls' middle school participated in the study. The results showed that the individualized group made significantly greater achievement and revealed higher course interest than the traditional group. Subjects in the individualized group also had more positive attitudes toward the instructional program than did the traditional group. Prior computer experience didn't have significant interaction effects between the teaching methods.
