Development of Open IoT platform based on Open Source Hardware & Cloud Service (오픈소스 하드웨어와 클라우드 서비스 기반의 개방형 IoT 플랫폼 구축)

  • The era of IoT in which all objects are intelligent and are connected to the internet has been started. In order to establish and activate an IoT eco system, open IoT services platform is very important. In this paper, we develop an open IoT services platform and verified the function by building a testbed. Our platform based on the open source hardware and commercial cloud services such as AWS which is a component of an open service IoT platform.

  • Open source is recently much more made and distributed by on-line such as internet in various fields. Therefore, end users could rapidly develop applications needed for some purposes using minimal efforts if use open sources. But, open source must be customized for their purposes. In this paper, we developed software for coordinates conversion and compared the software with NGI Pro which is developed by National Geographic Information Institute. Consequently, it is possible for us to easily develop the coordinates conversion module and we know that the use of open source is effective to develop various applications.

In order to establish and activate an IoT eco system, open services platform is very important. In this paper, we developed a BLE sensor module as a component of the open service platform based on the IoT and the open source hardware Blutooth4.0. To verify the functionality and performance of the developed BLE sensor module was built to evaluate the performance of the test environment.

  • The era of IoT in which all objects are intelligent and are connected to the Internet has been started. In order to establish and activate an IoT eco system, open services platform is very important. In this paper, we developed a gateway that utilize the Raspberry Pi which is open source hardware for IoT open service platform. The gateway supports a variety of wireless interface and equipped with MQTT, a standard messaging protocol for IoT. To confirm main function of developed gateway, we built a IoT test bed and verified normal operation of our gateway.

  • In today's technology environment, most big data-based applications and solutions are based on real-time processing of streaming data. Real-time processing and analysis of big data streams plays an important role in the development of big data-based applications and solutions. In particular, in the maritime data processing environment, the necessity of developing a technology capable of rapidly processing and analyzing a large amount of real-time data due to the explosion of data is accelerating. Therefore, this paper analyzes the characteristics of NiFi, Kafka, and Druid as suitable open source among various open data technologies for processing big data, and provides the latest information on external linkage necessary for maritime service analysis in Korean e-Navigation service. To this end, we will lay the foundation for applying open data framework technology for real-time data processing.

  • The cloud services market is growing rapidly from the on-premises environment to the cloud computing environment and the domestic cloud software market in Korea is expected to grow at a CAGR of around 15%. In Korea, research teams are providing open cloud platforms using open source software under the government taking the initiative, which intends to enhance the reliability and functionality of open cloud platforms, provide users with a world-class open cloud platform-based and developer-friendly environment that is managed on heterogeneous cloud infrastructure and supported by full-lifecycle management of application software. In this paper, we propose a method to utilize CaaS in the open cloud platform, through incorporating the platform with the container orchestration platform. Finally, by providing users with the application runtime and container runtime, it presents how the two platforms can coexist and cooperate in the same ecosystem.

Identifying the Network Characteristics of Contributors That Affect Performance in Open Collaboration : Focusing on the GitHub Open Source (개방형협업 참여자 기여도와 네트워크 특성과의 관계에 대한 연구 : 깃허브 오픈소스 프로젝트를 중심으로)

  • Information and communications technology facilitates collaboration among individuals by functioning as an open platform for open collaboration projects. In this regard, this study aims to understand the network characteristics of participants who contribute greatly to open collaboration by investigating the mutual cooperation network in an open source project, which represents a form of open collaboration based on social network theory. To achieve this objective, this study analyzes the network centrality of developers with a high number of commits, particularly 8,101 developers in 782 repositories in GitHub, a representative open source platform. This study also determines how the relationship between network centrality and number of commits depends on the size of a repository network and the presence of a hub. Consequently, the number of commits by developers with high degree, betweenness, and closeness centrality is increasing. Among which, betweenness centrality has the highest explanatory power. Furthermore, when a hub is present and as network size increases, the relationship between the betweenness centrality of a developer and his/her number of commits continues to grow. This study is expected to provide suggestions for the successful performance of open collaboration projects in the future.

  • 인터넷 빅뱅은 세상의 모든 컴퓨터들을 연결하는 단계를 넘어 이제는 모든 사물들을 연결하는 사물인터넷(Internet of Things) 수준으로까지 확대되고 있다. 2020년이면 500억개 이상의 사물과 기기들이 연결되고, 이러한 사물들의 다양한 정보를 연동하고 제어함으로써 새로운 IT 시대가 열릴 것으로 전망되고 있다. 이러한 사물인터넷 확산에는 인터넷 기술뿐 아니라 고성능 디바이스 기술의 발달과 초고속 유무선 통신 기술, 클라우드/빅데이타와 같은 데이터 기술, 그리고 오픈소스와 같은 사용자 참여형 개방 기술의 발전도 중요한 밑거름이 되고 있다. 이에 본 고에서는"오픈소스 사물인터넷(OSIoT:Open Source Internet of Things)"동향과 전망을 살피고 거시적 관점에서의 사용자 참여와 개방 기술 중심의 사물인터넷의 발전 방향을 함께 살피고자 하였다.

  • 지리정보시스템 클라이언트는 Open API를 이용한 개방형((Open)구조를 지향하고 있으며 OpenGIS는 다양한 데이터 소스간의 상호운용을 지우 하는 개방형 지리정보시스템의 표준으로 자리를 잡아가고 있다. 따라서 기존의 패쇄환경(Closed Environment)에서 행해졌던 공간 데이터 동시 수정의 연구는 OLE DB와 같은 개방환경(Open Environment)에서 연구될 필요가 있다. 기존의 기법을 OLE DB에 적용할 때 문제점으로 제기되는 것은 첫째, 공간데이터 수정을 위한 변경 제어가 서버측에 위치함으로써 서버에 따라 재작성 되어야 하는 문제가 있고, 둘째, 서버의 데이터를 중복 저장하고 있는 클라이언트 데이터에 대한 일관성 유지를 위해 클라이언트의 변경 내용은 다른 클라이언트에게 통보되어야 하지만 OLE DB의 통보 메커니즘은 Rowset을 공유하는 동일 클라이언트 내에서의 통보만 가능한 구조이다. 본 논문은 공간데이터베이스 서버에 의존적인 서버부분의 기능을 미들웨어에서 구현함으로써 서버 모듈의 재작성 문제를 해결하고 서로 다른 클라이언트간의 변경 전파 프로토콜을 제시하여 서버와 독립적으로 운용할 수 있는 공간데이터 변경을 위한 OLE DB서비스 제공자 프로토콜을 설계하고 구현한 결과를 보인다.
