A Case Study on Teacher Recruitment Experience of Private Kindergarten Director (사립유치원장의 교사 채용 경험에 관한 사례연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors and reasons for hiring kindergarten teachers and to provide information for successful employment to the college. 12 private kindergarten chiefs over 10 years of experience were conducted in - depth interviews. In-depth interview data were analyzed using open coding analysis. 11 sub - factors of each core concept were derived, and they were nominated as 4 outline (character, sociality, personality & professionalism factors). All of the researchers perceived the sincerity, interpersonal stability, honesty, and ability to perform the curriculum as the most important factors to consider, and the teacher with good personality was perceived as the precondition of successful teacher's job performance. In the college, through the production of portfolios by subject, we raised the necessity of institutionalization of educational volunteer activities such as vacation - based education in addition to on - the - spot education at school and development of liberal arts curriculum to develop capacity for community life. And to develop and operate a field-oriented comparative education program to strengthen the competence of the majors.

Grounded Theoretical Analysis on Participation Process and Meaning in Dancesports Participants (댄스스포츠 참여자의 참여과정 및 의미에 관한 근거이론적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analysis the characteristics on participation process and meaning of Dancesports participants. The participants could dance both Latin and Modern with more than three years of participation experience. The data analysis was based on open coding, axial coding and selective coding from the grounded theory of Strauss & Corbin(1998). The results of the analysis were as follows; It was found that causal situation have a longing for Dancesports and a means of living, contextual situation indicated perception of potential ability, media, and leisure chance, intervene condition given improvement of interpersonal relationships, bilateral strategies betterment of lesson place and health promotion and others. As results, the participants were able to find out their positive and negative aspects of participating Dancesports classes, and showed that Dancesports provided the participants for vitality of life.

An User Experience of Proactive Intelligent Personal Assistant: Focusing on Google 'Nest Hub Max' (능동적 지능형 가상 비서의 사용자 경험 연구 : Google의 'Nest Hub Max'를 중심으로)

  • This is a qualitative study about Google 'Nest Hub Max' that displays proactive intelligent personal assistant. Following the step of grounded theory, an in-depth interview for 6 users who had used this device for a month was taken. 186 concepts were discovered, categorized as 11 top-categories and 24 sub-categories. Paradigm diagram, considering axis-coding, was made and it have been narrowed down to 'Usage patterns' of proactive IPA, considering selective coding aspects. 'Usage patterns' were divided to passive and active user. Thus, neither passive user nor active user was satisfied about device and proactive IPA. This study is meaningful that it constructed basic data about the user experience of proactive IPA on this device. It will support the device or service that consists proactive IPA in the future.

A Study on the Perception of Job Experts on Data-based HR Management (데이터 기반 인사관리에 관한 직무전문가 인식 고찰)

  • There is a growing perception that HR management that streamlines corporate resources is necessary to retain competitive advantage. In this study, data-based HR management is focused on the perception of HR job experts and data-based HR management execution and utilization prospects at corporate sites. The subjects of the study were three HR planning/management job experts of three firms specializing in IT services in Pangyo, and focused on identifying data-based HR management execution, measurement, analysis tools, and utilization level. As a research method, open coding, axis coding, selective coding procedure based on evidence theory was presented. As a result of in-depth interviews, corporate HR management measurement indicators were divided into three areas: employee, productivity, and culture. Through this study, it was possible to find the significance of perception of the company site as to what measurement tools and mechanisms the company implemented and measured the effectiveness and efficiency of HR management.

A Study on the Readaptation of the Women Who have Engaged in Prostitution - A Grounded Theory Approach - (탈성매매여성들의 사회적응에 대한 연구 - 근거이론 방법 접근 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to generate a substantive theory that accounts for the social readaptation of the women who have engaged in prostitution and propose a practical program for them. We used the grounded theory developed by Strauss and Corbin(1990). Raw data were collected through the in-depth interview, documents and observation. We used constant comparative method for the data analysis. The nine women who had the exprience of prostitution have participated in this study. As a result of the data analysis, in open coding were generated 116 concepts, 29 subcategories and 12 categories, In axial coding the outcomes of a paradigm model were as follows. The causal conditions were named 'hostile environment' and 'the self endowed stigma'. The phenomenon turned out to be 'living as an anonymous being'. The contextual conditions were named 'cohesion of family', 'being pushed' and 'shrinked emotion'. The intervening conditions were presented to be 'desire of self restoration as a social being', 'reactionary reconstruction'. The action/interaction strategies turned out to be 'shifting of social status', 'neighbor alliance'. The consequences were presented to be 'psychological wayfarer' and 'tentacular living'. In selective coding we found a core category, 'repetition of leaving and returning from the life world'. Based on the phenomenon, two types of participants life attitudes were found as follows : present hesitating type, self concealing type. Following the adove results, We finally suggested the need to develope a community oriented case management model.

A grounded Theory Study on Experience of Geography Teachers Participating in a Teacher Learning Community (지리교사들의 교사학습공동체 참여 경험에 대한 근거이론적 연구)

  • This study aims to inquire into experience of geography teachers participating in a teacher learning community based on the grounded theory methodology. Participation observation was conducted on one of geography teacher learning communities. The total of 11 research participants were selected to conduct in-depth interviews. The data collected were analyzed by the coding method proposed by Strauss and Corbin(1990, 1998). In open coding, 125 concepts, 43 sub-categories and 17 categories were drawn and in axial coding by paradigm model, phenomenon, conditions, action/interaction and consequences turned out. In selective coding, the participants were classified into four types and the condition/consequence matrix was developed. As a result of the analysis, first, participation, obstacles and continuous participation factors of geography teachers in the teacher learning community could be understood from multi-dimensional aspects. Second, principles of the collaborative teacher learning and the factors promoting collaborative teacher learning were established. Third, the professional development of geography teachers through teacher learning community could be understood.

  • Maker Activity based Design-Thinking 5 Step is a better experience for providing the public with a better approach to design by sympathizing with human needs and exploring the public's potential desires. This paper studied the teaching method by applying the value of the Maker Training that emphasizes the importance of sharing and opening results with others after creating them based on the ideas of the learners using different tools, the basic mind of Design-Thinking with the observation and empathy about human beings and the derivation of user-centric results to the SW coding curriculum. For this purpose, we studied teaching methods by Design-thinking based on sections that require coding in the information classes of the secondary school curriculum. We demonstrated the class to a group of education experts by applying the syllabus of instruction. Then we collected evaluations and opinions of the experts and we modified the syllabus to reflect the collected assessment. Under the Design-thinking 5 step foundation, classes were demonstrated with a group of education experts, opinions collected, and suggestions collected were reflected on the assessment outcome. I think that It is an effective training opportunity to practice a widespread idea that enables infinite thinking and a convergence of thinking that brings out the best decision from a widespread idea.

The Process of Meaning Construction on Children's Happiness by Mothers with Young children (유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 자녀 행복 의미 구성 과정)

  • The purpose of this study was to explain the process of meaning construction on children's happiness by mothers with young children. The study participants were 16 mothers with young children. The data were collected through the interviews which were conducted during 10 months from March, 2013 to December, 2013. The Data were analyzed according to a grounded theory methodology. The process of meaning construction on children's happiness by mothers included 4 stages, which are as follows. 'Following inseparated social desire and demands', 'Looking around my desire and children's happiness', 'Rearranging interlacing desire' and 'Going to find my children's happiness and my happiness'. And the stages were interacting mothers'time perspectives and diverse ecosystems. Based on the results, the study discussed the characters of interaction on time perspectives and parenting, and discussed influences of meaning construction on happiness.

  • This study aimed to improve our understanding of users' cognitive processes based on think aloud protocols generated during the retrieval process of an online database. It analyzed think aloud protocols generated by participants while performing pre-defined tasks using an online database. The protocols were encoded using the open coding method. As the results, four broad categories including retrieval, system format, system functionality, and information were drawn, and 21 detailed categories were generated. Based on the results, suggestions for the design of online databases were provided.

A study on categories of questions when holding counselling on learning math in regards to grounded theoretical approaches (근거이론적 접근에 따른 수학학습 상담 발문 유형에 대한 연구)

  • This study was performed in part with the task to find measures to improve the defining characteristics of feelings, value, interest, self-efficacy, and others aspects in regards to learning math among elementary and middle school students. For this study, it was essential to understand the appropriate questions that are needed to be asked during a consultation at a math clinic, for students that are having a hard time learning math. As a method for performing this study, the content of scheduled counseling over 2 years from a math clinic were collected and the questions that were given and taken were analyzed in order to figure out the types of questions needed in order to effectively examine students that are facing difficulty with learning math. The analysis was performed using Grounded theory analysis by Strauss & Corbin(1998) and went through the process of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. For the paradigm in the categorical analysis stage, 'attitude towards learning math' was set as the casual condition, 'feelings towards learning math' was set as the contextual condition, 'confidence in one's ability to learn math' was set as the phenomenon, 'individual tendencies when learning math' was set as the intervening condition, 'self-management of learning math' was set as the action/interaction strategy, and 'method of learning' was set as the consequence. Through this, the questions that appeared during counseling were linked into categories and subcategories. Through this process, 81 concepts were deducted, which were grouped into 31 categories. I believe that this data can be used as grounded theory for standardization of consultation in clinics.
