  • 이 논문은 ATS(Automatic Train Stop)의 신호를 측정하기 위해 개발된 측정시스템을 소개하고, 측정 결과를 고찰하여 향후 연구 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 기존선 고속화 요구에 따른 신호보안설비의 개선이 요구되지만 기존의 설비를 전면적으로 교체하기에는 기간 및 많은 비용이 요구된다. 그러기 위해서 기존의 ATS에 대해서 성능을 점검하고 고속화를 위한 개선점을 찾아 신호설비 개량전에 단계적 고속화가 필요하다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 신호 고속화 시스템을 위해 기존신호 시스템의 특징을 조사하였다. 이 논문에서는 NI사의 상용 A/D 보드와 LabVIEW를 사용하여 측정시스템을 만들어 측정하였다. 측정결과는 기존의 ATS의 신호가 고속에서는 응동시간이 문제가 있으며, 고속화를 위해서는 일부 개량이 필요하다. 그러나 승객의 안전에 관련된 사안이므로 더 다양한 방향에서의 고찰이 필요할 것으로 보인다.

A Study on the Behavior of George Massey Immersed Tunnel during Earthquake (지진 시 George Massey 침매터널의 거동에 관한 연구)

  • The George Massey immersed tunnel passes the Fraser River near Vancouver, Western Canada. The tunnel was founded on sandy soils and its behavior during earthquake was analyzed by an effective stress constitutive model called UBCSAND. This model is able to calculate pore pressure rise and resulting tunnel movements due to cyclic loading. Centrifuge tests conducted at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) were used to verify the model performance. The centrifuge tests consisted of 2 models: Model 1 was designed for an original ground condition, Model 2 for a ground improvement by densification. In Model 1, large deformation of the tunnel was observed due to liquefaction of surrounding soil. Because of the densified zones around the tunnel the vertical and horizontal displacements of the tunnel in Model 2 was 50% less than Model 1. Measured excess pore pressures, accelerations, and displacements from centrifuge tests were in close agreement with the predictions of UBCSAND model. Therefore, the model can be used to predict seismic behavior of immersed tunnels on sandy soils and optimize liquefaction remediation methods.

Rehabilitation Priority Decision Model for Sewer Systems (하수관거시스템 개량 우선순위 결정 모형)

  • The main objective of sewer rehabilitation is to improve its function while eliminating inflow/infiltration (I/I). If we can identify the amount of I/I for an individual pipe, it is possible to estimate the I/Is of sub-areas clearly. However, in real, the amount of I/I for an individual pipe is almost impossible to be obtained due to the limitation of cost and time. In this study, I/I occurrence of each sewer pipe is estimated using AHP (Analytic Hierarch Process) and RPDM (Rehabilitation Priority Decision Model for sewer system) was developed using the estimated I/I of each pipe to perform the efficient sewer rehabilitation. Based on the determined amount of I/I for an individual pipe, the RPDM determines the optimal rehabilitation priority (ORP) using a genetic algorithm for sub-areas in term of minimizing the amount of I/I occurring while the rehabilitation process is performed. The benefit obtained by implementing the ORP for rehabilitation of sub-areas is estimated by the only waste water treatment cost (WWTC) of I/I which occurs during the sewer rehabilitation period. The results of the ORP were compared with those of a numerical weighting method (NWM) which is the decision method for the rehabilitation priority in the general sewer rehabilitation practices and the worst order which are other methods to determine the rehabilitation order of sub-areas in field. The ORP reduced the WWTC by 22% compared to the NWM and by 40% compared to the worst order.

  • Various improvement methods to treat settlement and stability of structures on soft foundation, that is now continuously introduced after being scrutinized. Therefore, it is very important to select the most suitable method among these various ones. In this study, quantifying the importance of effective factors when making decision, inducing priority and significance weight, systematic standard is proposed for technical, economic factor in making selection of soft foundation improvement method.

  • 발파공법은 비 점토성 지반의 심층 개량처리에 있어서 경제적이며 실용성 있는 방법이다. 발파에 의한 흙의 다짐효과는 복잡한 과정을 통하여 이루어지며 좋은 결과를 얻기 위해서는 발파 계획에 있어서 동 공법의 작용원리를 잘 이해하고 적용하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 발파공법에 의한 흙의 다짐효과에 관한 과거의 연구자료를 광범위하게 조사하였다. 지반개량 작용원리에 관련하여 특별한 현상과 증거를 제시하는 실제 사례 자료를 기초로 하여 현재까지 흙의 밀도증가 요인을 설명해 온 개념은 발파에 수반되어 주변 주반에 발생하는 지반거동현상을 설명하기에 부족함이 있음을 지적하였다. 또한 발파지점 부근에 형성되는 액상화 영역과 그 외부 영역에서 각각 발생되는 과인간극수압 및 지반응력상태, 이에 따른 지반침하 형태 그리고 개량지반의 강성 및 강도특성에 관하여 고찰하였다.

Conditions Affecting Vegetable Waste Composting (야채쓰레기의 효율적 퇴비화를 위한 운영조건)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the feasibility of composting of vegetable wastes containing high moisture. The parameters investigated were the effect of energy source addition, difference in bulking agent and recirculation of leachate produced during composting. Laboratory scale composting reactors were used in this study. Chinese cabbages were used as a vegetable waste. Dog food was added to the vegetable waste as a energy source. Wood chips and leaves of platan were used as bulking agents. There may be an appropriate amount of energy source to be added for composting high moisture content vegetable waste. In this study, the appropriate amount of energy source was 20% of the vegetable waste by weight basis. Recirculation of total amount of leachate produced each day on the same day may not be an appropriate approach due to the significant heat-quenching effect. When the total amount of leachate produced was equally devided and recirculated everyday through the whole composting period, the heat-quenching effect was comparatively less significant. There were no notable differences in the temperature profile and the $CO_2$ evoluation rate when leaves were used instead of wood chips as bulking agents. Considering waste recycling, it is desirable to use leaf waste as bulking agents if available, because the leaves are also wastes to be disposed of.

Continuity for Double Tee Slabs (더블티 슬래브의 연속화)

  • The main objective of this study is to develop a continuity of double tee slab with two modified dap-ends to solve the problems of excessive moment, slab depth, deflection, and joint cracking in the original simply supported double tee slab systems. The modified joint is produced in a combination with two slabs with modified dap and one rectangular beam. The modified joint can be justified as following different merits. The span capacity for a design load is increased, while the deflection of the slab is decreased due to the decrease of positive moment at the center span of the slab. The joint cracking between slab and beam, which occur frequently in the original slab systems of double tee will be reduced. No more additional form work is needed to cast topping concrete for continuity. Three point loading tests are performed on the specimens with a variable of an amount of main longitudinal reinforcement to evaluate flexural and shear behavior. Following conclusions are obtained from the experimental investigation. The continuity of double tee slab effectively is provided by placing longitudinal steel reinforcement in the topping concrete over the connection, and generally leads to an increase in span capacity of double tee slabs with reduced deflection. It is more effective to control the initial cracking at the connection than that of some simply supported double tee slab systems.

콘크리트 포장도로의 소음 예측기법과 노면 개량화 방안

  • 1968년 경인고속도로를 시작으로 국내 도로환경이 변화하면서 교통소음이 주거환경에 문제로 제기되었으며, 80년대부터 시작된 포장재질의 콘크리트화 추세는 교통소음의 증가요인이 되었고, 신도시 고속도로 및 도시외곽 순환도로 등의 확충 사업은 주거환경 내에서도 교통소음을 발생시키고 있다. 이와 같이 도로교통소음은 주거환경의 쾌적성을 침해하는 가장 큰 요인으로 1993년 국내 환경오염 피해진정 건수중 소음.진동의 민원이 약 44%로 가장 높게 나타나고 있는 실정이며. 문제가 교통소음의 발생원은 자동차 발생소음(power level)은 각 음원별 소음특성을 검토 하는 것이 중요하나 소음의 평가방법에 대한 연구는 국내.외에서 각 음원별 특성을 포함한 연구로 1970년대 이후 급속히 전개되어 왔으나, 최근 도로변 건물의 고층화 현상은 방음(전파경로)대책 수립에 한계를 나타내고 있는 실정이다. 이와 같은 문제 점을 해결하기 위해서는 그동안 체계적인 연구가 이루어지지 않은 노면(포장)형태에 따른 자동차 주행소음의 특성에 관한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 판단한다.
