Inflow and outflow analysis of double majors using social network analysis (사회 연결망 분석을 이용한 복수전공 유입 및 유출 분석)

  • Recently, the number of students who get double majors has tended to increase in many universities. As results, many problems occur because immoderate inflow of double-major students is concentrated in a specific popular department. In this paper, we study the characteristic of inflow and outflow of double majors using social network analysis and decision tree analysis. According to the results, SAT score affected the inflow of double majors the most. Additionally, department category, course evaluation score, employment rate also affected the inflow of double majors in the order named. On the other hand, department category affected the outflow of double majors the most. Additionally, SAT score, employment rate, course evaluation score also affected the outflow of double majors in the order named.

Characteristics of Thin Film Electric Resistance Probe Prepared at Various Sputtering Condition (박막형 전기저항식 부식속도 측정 센서의 금속층 증착조건에 따른 전기화학적 특성 변화)

  • 현장에서 부식속도를 측정하는 방법의 하나인 전기저항 프로브(Electric Resistance Probe, ER probe)는 시편이 부식되는 양에 비례하여 저항이 증가하는 원리를 이용한 것으로 부식기구에 무관하게 직접적인 부식속도의 측정이 가능하다. 그러나, 와이어나 판형으로 기계 가공된 프로브로 제작되어 미량의 부식에는 저항변화폭이 작아 긴 측 정시간이 필요하고, 특히 국부 부식의 경우 부식이 상당히 진행되더라도 전체 저항변 화가 크지 않은 문제점이 있다. 박막형 전기저항프로브는 미량의 부식에서도 저항변화폭이 크게 나타나도록하기 위 하여 금속 박막을 스퍼터링으로 증착하여 동일 부식량에서 저항 변화율을 크게 향상 시킨 프로브이다. 이 프로브는 좁은 선폭(O.25-1mm)의 세선을 복수개 포함한 형상으로 프로브를 설계하여 핏팅이 발생하면 하나의 세선이 끊어지도록 하여 국부적인 부식이 일어날 경우에도 저항변화가 크게 나타나도록 고안되었다. 탄소강의 경우 일반적인 환경에서는 부식속도가 결정립의 크기, 가공경화의 정도등 에 민감하게 변화되지 않는 것으로 알려져 있으나, 박막으로 증착되었을 경우에는 별 크재료와는 전혀 다른 미세구조를 가지므로 벌크의 부식거동과는 다른 거동을 보일 수 있다. 이 연구에서는 증착조건을 달리하여 증착된 철 박막의 결정성, 비저항, 표면 상태, 조성등을 4 point 프로브, SEM, Auger spectroscopy등을 이용하여 조사하고 각각의 전위, 부식속도등과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 증착된 박막의 비저항은 증착중 혼입된 산소의 양에 따라 매우 민감하게 변화하였다. 산소가 l0at%이상 함유된 철은 강의 알려진 비저항보다 수십배 높은 비저항을 보이며, 부식전위가 높아지고 실제 부식속도 또한 매우 낮게 나타났다. 박막의 부식거동은 미량 불순물에 의해서도 크게 변화하였는데 동일한 수준의 비저 항을 갖는 철 박막에서도 99.9% 순도의 철을 타켓으로 하여 증착된 막은 일반 저탄소 강을 타켓으로 하여 증착된 막보다 훨씬 낮은 부식속도를 보였다.

A Study on the Fatigue Strength and Life Distribution of Carbon Steel Using the Database System (데이터베이스 시스템을 이용한 탄소강의 피로강도 및 수명분포)

  • The relational database system on fatigue strength was constructed, and the properties of fatigue life distribution were examined to analyze reliability and safety of metallic materials. Data manipulations were efficiently performed in relational fatigue strength database system using dependency diagram. Regardless of the distribution of fatigue strength, the proposed method, the Robust method and the complementary error function method using probability distribution, successfully estimated parameters of the 3-parameter Weibull distribution. The proposed criterion for estimating non-failure probability showed good results regardless of censoring time. The fatigue life distribution function described as a function of parameters of the Weibull distribution and applied stress ratio produced P-S-N characteristics reasonably.

Effect of additional gases on the Color of TixN Coated Film (TixN Coating층의 색상에 미치는 첨가원소의 영향)

  • Stainless steel is being used widely for various purposes due to its good corrosion resistance. There has been much research to produce a colored and corrosion-resistant stainless steel by several methods to use in decorating. In this experiment, we coated TiN(C,O,H)films on the SUS304 substrates with the DC magnetron sputtering system and then studied the texture and color of the films as a function of additional gases being inserted into the system. A (220) texture of TixN film changed to (200) by the addition of either hydrogen or the acetylene and changed further to (111) with an increase of the additional acetylene content. The addition of oxygen gas changed from the texture(220) to (111) to (200). The color of the TixN film changed from gold to gray to green with the increase of the content by the addition of oxygen gas, while it changed to pink and finally to gray with the increased of the content by the addition of acetylene gas. Reflectance increased in the region of short wavelength by the addition of hydrogen, but decreased with the increase of the oxygen and the acetylene content.

A Study on the Bainite Phase Control of Direct-Quenched Low Carbon Steels (저탄소 직접 소입강의 베이나이트상 조절에 관한 연구)

  • In a recent investigation, the formation of bainite phase in direct-quenched low carbon non heat-treated steel was reported. In this study the effects of bainite phase on the mechanical properties of direct-quenched microalloying steels were investigated. By isothermal transformation at $480^{\circ}C$ for 7 sec., volume fraction of bainite lath was 15~20%, and the UTS and impact energy were increased. In this case $B_{ll}$ and $B_{lll}$ type bainite was observed and the fractography of impact test specimen showed a ductile fracture tendency. Isothermal transformation for 100sec., yielded 30% volume fraction of granular bainite and the mechanical properties were decreased. The f ractography of impact test specimen showed a brittle fracture tendency. The addition of Mo was more effective than B for improving impact energy because amounts of boron aditions were restricted to considerably lower levels, typically 10~ 30ppm. From this study, it is predicted that 15~20% volume fraction of lath bainite on the direct quenching process is procduced by addition of Mo up to 1.2wt. % and controlling the finish forging proc¬ess at $1000^{\circ}C$ and using oil as direct quenching media. This will improve mechanical properties of the direct- quenched steel.

  • This study has been constructed to establish the formation of the VC layer on various steels by immersion in fused borax bath containing Fe-V powder. The result obtained from the experiment are as follows. (1) The carbide is supposed to grow on the front surface of the carbide layers by the reaction between carbide-forming elements dissolved in the fused borax and carbon atoms successively supplied through the layer from the matrix. (2) The growth rate of the carbide layers was controlled by the diffusion rate of C in the carbide layer and C content in the matrix. (3) Carbide layer formed on the surface of the specimen is VC layer and the hardness of this layer is above $H_v$ 3000.

  • 서낙동강은 당초 낙동강 본류였으나 1934년 김해평야 일원의 농업용수 공급을 위하여 건설된 대저수문과 녹산수문의 완공 이후 현재의 상태로 유지되고 있다. 서낙동강은 대저수문을 통한 유입과 녹산수문, 녹산배수펌프장을 통한 방류가 시행되고 있으며, 이러한 운영은 외해 조위조건에 따라 간헐적으로 운영되고 있어서, 수체의 정체로 인한 오염도가 높은 실정이다. 또한, 서낙동강 유역은 에코델타시티 등 다양한 개발계획이 수립됨에 따라 수질관리를 위한 여건도 변화할 것으로 예상되며, 이러한 개발에 따른 다양한 수질개선에 대한 사회적 요구가 증대됨에 따라 이를 위한 물순환 개선과 유역에서의 오염부하 저감 등 다양한 수질개선 대책이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 그간 서낙동강을 대상으로 시행되었던 연구결과와 현재 시행중인 물순환에 대한 효과를 검토하고, 이를 정량화하기 위한 2차원 수리 수질모형(CE-QUAL-W2)을 구축 활용하여 현행 물순환 방안의 운영 효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 당초 환경영향평가시 제시되었던 대저수문과 맥도수문을 통한 유입과 맥도배수펌프장을 통한 유출로 서낙동강, 평강천, 맥도강의 수질을 개선하고자 했던 물순환 계획은 여러 가지 여건으로 인해 시행되지 못하고 있으며, 현재는 매주 강서구청에서 맥도배수펌프장을 이용하여 평강천과 맥도강의 수위를 저하시킨 이후 서낙동강의 하천수를 유입시키는 형태로 물순환을 시행하고 있다. 이러한 현행 물순환 방안에 대한 분석을 위하여 서낙동강, 평강천, 맥도강 구간에 대하여 2차원 수리 수질모형(CE-QUAL-W2)을 이용하여 모의한 결과 현재의 물순환 방법으로는 물순환 유량이 증가하더라도 수질개선에 한계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 서낙동강에 낙동강 하천수가 대저수문을 통하여 유입된 이후 장기간 체류함에 따라 유역에서의 오염물질 유입의 영향이 크게 나타나며, 이에 따라 평강천과 맥도강에 유입되는 경우 수질개선이 제한적인 것으로 판단된다. 추가적으로 현재 서낙동강 대비 상대적으로 수질이 양호한 낙동강 본류의 하천수를 신규 수문 등의 시설물을 통하여 유입시키는 조건에 대한 분석 결과 현행 물순환 대비 효과가 크며 당초 예상했던 환경영향평가시 목표수질을 달성할 수 있을 것으로 판단보다 상세한 분석과 검토가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Team Project Learning in Flipped Calculus Classes (대학 미적분학 플립드 수업에서 팀프로젝트 탐구)

  • The purpose of this study is followings. First, we develop and apply teaching and learning methods for conducting team projects in flipped calculus class. Second we collect data such as team reports, individual reviews, and surveys during class activities. Third we survey the impacts on participation in student team activities, advanced studying, communication and collaboration. A total of 120 engineering and science majoring students participated in the 16-week long class study administered in team project learning styles in Spring 2018. There were two characteristics of this class. First students studied concepts and examples with video in pre-class and did the team project learning in the classroom. Second we used Google Drive to record team project progress, and to make sure the instructor to intervene appropriately in team activities. We conducted a team project inside and outside the classroom. This could lead the instructor to advise students and so their participation in team activity increased. As a result, it not only had a good effect on communication and cooperation, but also had an effect on advanced learning.

An Analysis of Learners' Difficulties and Proposal of Learning Support Plan for the Expansion of Online Education in Domestic Universities (국내대학의 온라인교육 확대에 따른 학습자의 어려움 및 학습지원방안)

  • The spread of COVID-19 and the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution have significantly affected the nature of college education causing many changes to the way it is conducted. One of these changes is the expansion of online education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the difficulties experienced by learners due to the transition to rapidly expanding online education at domestic universities, and to seek ways to support their learning through this new online platform. Results of a questionnaire showed that learners experienced difficulties in their interactions with professors because of the rapid transition to online education without adequate preparation. It was determined that there were not enough opportunities for communication between learners and professors as a result of non-face-to-face online education, and that learners did not receive Q&A or feedback quickly enough. The study also examined ways to ways to improve the effectiveness of online learning. Students showed a high preference for items such as "appropriate guidance regarding announcements such as lecture schedules," "providing lecture notes as learning materials."

A Study on the Content Construction of "Reading Education" Course in LIS (독서교육 교과목의 내용 구성에 관한 연구 - 문헌정보학과에서 제공되는 독서교육 과목을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of "Reading Education" course in LIS in terms of objects, teaching methods and problems. 19 similar courses to "Reading Education" provided by LIS in the US and 32 similar courses to "Reading Education" provided by LIS in Korea were investigated and analyzed. Most courses provided by the US graduate schools emphasized specific teaching techniques. However. most courses provided by Korean departments stressed general objects and goals. The suggested syllabus of 'Reading Education' course, composed of 13 weeks, was constructed focusing on 3 parts, various reading materials, teaching methods and bibliotherapy.
