Numerical Analysis for Evaluating Rigidity Effect on Settlement of Shallow Foundations (수치해석을 이용한 얕은 기초의 강성효과 산정)

  • 얕은기초의 침하량은 기초강성에 따라 크게 좌우되지만 기존의 이론적인 연구결과는 실무에 적 하기에 불충분하였다. 그러므로, 본 연구에서는 3차원 수치해석법을 이용하여 직사각형 기초의 길이비에 따른 강성 보정계수를 산정하고자 하였다. 우선, Mayne & Poulos(1999)가 정사각형 기초에 대하여 제안한 강성 보정계수와 비교하여 본 수치해석 기법의 적용성을 검증하였다. 그리고, 검증된 수치해석 기법을 적용하여 직사각형 기초의 길이비를 L/B=1, 2, 5로 달리하여 해석을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 동일한 기초강성에서 기초의 길이비(L/B)가 증가함에 따라 강성 보정계수 값이 점차 증가하는 결과를 보여주었다. 그러나 L/B=5 인 경우에는 강성계수가 10이상 되더라도 기초는 완전강성 거동을 보이지 않았다.

Influence of Stiffness Coefficients on Optical Performance in Composite Optical Substrate (강성계수가 복합재 광학판 성능에 미치는 영향성 연구)

  • The extensional stiffness in quasi-isotropic laminates is uniform in the radial direction, but the bending stiffness varies radially due to the stacking sequence. This paper addresses the directional dependency of the bending stiffness and its radial variation in three types of quasi-isotropic laminate reflectors consisting of unidirectional fiber composite materials (UDM) and randomly distributed composite materials (short fiber, RDM). The extensional stiffness and bending stiffness in optical reflectors using RDM are uniform, while the bending stiffness in those using UDM varies radially from 11% to 26%. Also, the stiffness sensitivity, such as the bend-twist or bend-torsion effect, due to the differences in the stiffness value in the composite, is large. These factors are problematic in the optical field requiring precision surfaces. Utilizing RDM might be one way to eliminate the presence of bending stiffness in composite mirror substrates.

  • To analyzing the validity for using the stiffness ratio in evaluating edge stiffness effect of the composite girder bridges, modification factors are analyzed with changing girder spacing. The relation between stiffness ratio, loading type, girder spacing and modification factors is analyzed. From the results of comparing modification factors analyzed from the field loading test and the established design method with the modification factor analyzed from this study, it was concluded that evaluating the edge stiffness effect using stiffness ratio is possible.

  • 씨일의 표면마찰계수 특성이 씨일의 동특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 씨일내의 유속이 증가함에 따라서 마찰계수가 급상승하는 허니콤 씨일을 대상으로 이론적 해석을 하였다. 그 결과 마찰계수의 급상승 현상은 마찰계수의 급상승 현상이 없는 경우에 비하여 강성계수의 감소를 야기하고 회전축-베어링계의 불안정성과 관계가 있는 연성 강성계수의 큰 감소를 보였다. 또한 회전축-베어링계의 안정성을 도모하는 감쇠 계수의 증가를 야기함으로써 회전기계의 운전점이 마찰계수의 급상승 범위에 있다면 시스템의 안정성면에서 매우 유리할 것으로 사료된다. 마찰계수의 급상승 현상을 보이는 허니콤 씨일의 동특성에 대한 이론적 해석 결과, 강성계수는 매우 작게 예측되었으나 연성강성계수와 감쇠계수는 비교적 실험결과와 근사함을 보였다.

  • 응답변위법에서 이용되는 동지반강성계수의 적절한 평가법에 대한 제안을 하였다. 현재까지의 지진피해조사 및 장기간의 지진관측사례는 지반이 공진할 때의 변형모드가 지중구조물의 피해에 가장 직접적으로 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서, 지중구조물의 축방향의 지반의 변형모드와 그 타월 진동수를 특정하여 동지반강성계수를 평가했다. 동지반강성계수는 지반의 공진상태를 상정하고 있기 때문에 결과로써 지진파의 축방행 파장의 영향을 받지 않고, 관상구주물의 반경과 표층두께의 비, 표층두께에 대한 구조물의 매설위치, 표층지반과 기반의 임피단스비 라고 하는 3개의 무차원 변수에 의해 표현된다.

The Modified Coefficient of the Orthotropic Rigidity for Stiffened Plates with Open Ribs (개단면 리브를 갖는 보강판의 직교이방성 강성 수정 계수)

  • In this paper, the modified coefficient of the orthotropic rigidity for stiffened plates with open ribs is proposed to improve the inaccurate results of the orthotropic plate analysis. For stiffened plates with rectangular and angle ribs having various aspect ratios and boundary conditions, the aspect ratio and the rigidity ratio are selected as parameters and the parametric study on the modified coefficient is performed. Analyzed results of stiffened plates modeling with the isotropic and orthotropic plate element show that the modified coefficient can be expressed as a function of the rigidity ratio for each rib space regardless of the aspect ratio in case of the aspect ratio under 1 and can be represented as a single union function without regard to rib spaces and aspect ratios in the other case. The results also shows that the effects of the boundary condition on the modified coefficient is small and coefficient functions have different values according to rib shapes. The application to examples shows that the modified coefficient of the orthotropic rigidity improves accuracy. Therefore, the orthotropic plate analysis of stiffened plates with open ribs can easily achieve more accurate results using the coefficient function proposed in this study

Influence of the joint stiffness on the segment design (이음부 강성계수가 세그먼트 설계에 미치는 영향)

  • The lining of shield TBM tunnel is composed of segments, therefore segment joints are induced by connecting each segment. Segment joint is considered as joint stiffness in the design of TBM tunnel. Depending on the choice among the different stiffness equations, the joint stiffness values determined can be varied largely. Therefore, the influence of joint stiffness value on the design of segment lining should be verified. In this study, the joint stiffness values were determined firstly by using various equations and total change boundary was justified. Within the change boundary determined, the member forces were calculated by changing the joint stiffness through the numerical analysis and consequently the stability of segment lining was investigated by applying nominal strength. The results showed that the segment joint stiffness did not affect the design of segment lining largely.

  • A new measuring technique for the rigidities of stiffened plated is presented. The equations relating the rigidities of stiffened plates and the natural frequencies of a cantilever plate are derived and the rigidities are determined using the measured natural frequencies of the plate. The static deflection tests are conducted for checking the validity of this method. For unstiffened plates the measured rigidities are good agreement with the theoretical values and the experimental results of deflection tests. In the case of stiffened plates the measured rigidities closely matched with the results of deflection tests. It has been also demonstrated that this measuring technique can be utilized in determining the rigidities of arbitrarily stiffened plates.

A Study on Relationship between Track Impact Factor and Track Support Stiffness of Turnout System on Urban Transit (도시철도 분기기 궤도구조의 궤도지지강성과 궤도충격계수의 상관관계에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the relationship between the track support stiffness and the track impact factor for a sleeper floating track and a turnout system with wood ties currently employed in Korean urban transit was assessed by performing field tests using actual vehicles running along the service lines. Field tests were performed on four track systems (i.e., sleeper floating track, and point, lead and crossing sections of turnout system). The theoretically designed track impact factor and track support stiffness were compared with the corresponding track impact factor and track support stiffness measured through field tests for the target tracks on the service line. The track impact factor for the service line appeared to increase with the deviation of track support stiffness according to vehicle driving direction; therefore, it was inferred that the deviation of track support stiffness between each track section directly affected the track impact factor.

  • 진동판 변위에 따라 변화하는 스피커의 비선형 강성과 비선형 force factor를 간단히 함수로 모델링하고 각각의 계수를 구하는 방법을 살펴보았다. 강서의 계수를 구하는데 있어서 질량을 부가하는 기계적인 방법을 사용하여 강성과 force factor 간의 커플링을 배제하도록 하였으며, 공진시 스피커로 입력되는 전압, 전류 파형으로부터 force factor의 함수를 얻어 curve fitting 함으로써 force factor의 계수를 얻을 수 있게 하였다. 실험시 변위의 측정은 밀폐형 스피커의 내부 음압을 측정하여 변위를 간접측정하는 방법을 사용하였다.
