국가에너지원으로서 가스산업의 위치 및 향후전망

  • 에너지는 인류문명발달의 원동력이며 현대 산업사회에서는 모든 산업활동과 국민경제에 필수적인 요소이므로 세계 거의 모든 나라들은 에너지의 안정확보를 국가정책의 제 1로 삼고 있다. 세계적으로 볼 때 시대의 변천에 따라 에너지의 주역도 바뀌어 산업혁명 후 제2차 세계 대전까지는 석탄이 주역이었고, 2차대전 후 1970년대 석유위기 전까지는 석유가 단연 주역이었다가 석유위기 후 1980년대는 천연가스와 원자력이 상당부문 석유를 대체하고 있으며, 21세기에는 가스이용기술의 개발에 따라 편리성과 경제성에서 가스의 우월성으로 타에너지를 대체하고, 특히 지구온난화방지 노력과 관련하여 전세계적인 $CO_2$ 감축 목표에 따라 청정연료로서 타에너지 보다 사용이 크게 늘어 2010년까지는 1995년의 $50\%$가 증가하여 21세기 연료의 주역이 될 것으로 전망된다. 우리나라는 에너지의 $98\%$를 외국에서 도입하는 상황에서 석유의존도가 $60\%$를 넘고 있으며, 원자력발전소의 확장에 어려움이 많고 세계기후변화협약을 비준한 국가로서 지구온난화방지를 위한 의무를 지게 될 것이므로, 에너지 공급원의 다원화를 통한 안정확보와 청정에너지 이용의 확대 및 에너지 산업에 대한 규제완화 등으로 경제성에 입각한 시장경쟁에서 가스는 우위를 확보함으로써 1차 에너지중 가스의 비중이 매우 높아질 것으로 전망되고있다. 따라서 가스산업은 우리나라 에너지산업중 가장 크게 발전하고 또 다른 에너지가 여러면에서 제약을 받게 될 때 이러한 제약을 극복하는 대체에너지로서 역할이 크게 전망되며, 특히 발전, 열병합, 냉방, 자동차 연료부문에서의 사용이 크게 늘어날 것으로 예상되어 이러한 가스이용의 확대에 대비하여 가스자원의 개발, 국내 공급설비의 확충, 연구개발등에 대한 투자와 규제완화에 의한 시장경쟁에 대한 대비가 필요하다.계산모델 및 원자력병원에서 보유하고 있는 방사선 치료계획장치인 CAP-PLAN의 선량계산모델의 계산 결과와 비교하여, 흡수선량은 ${\pm}10\%$ 이내에서 거리로는 0.4mm 이내에서 대부분 일치하였다. 최대 오차는 각각 $11.3\%$ 및 0.8mm로 나타났다. 이상의 결과들로부터 새로 개발한 금으로 된 기구와 Ir-192 seed를 이용한 근접 방사선 치료법으로 안구의 악성종양에 대한 치료를 보다 효과적으로 시행할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 구성원을 간소 목적을 위하여 사용할 수 있어야 하겠다 마지막으로 이들 내의 위험 집단을 우선적으로 파악. 접근하여야 할 것이다. 위험 집단으로는 경제적 문제로 적절한 의료 이용을 할 수 없는 저소득층, 문화적으로 열등한 위치에 있는 여성층과 초기 이민 적응에 가장 문제를 일으킬 소지가 있는 노년층을 들 수 있겠다. 이 연구는 몇 가지 제한점을 가진다. 첫째. 연구 대상자 선정이 어려워서 자원자를 대상으로 연구가 행해졌다. 둘째. 적은 수의 연구 대상자를 대상으로 연구가 행해졌다. 셋째. 연구기간이 짧았던 까닭에 좀더 상세한 사례 연구가 이루어질 수 없었다 좀 더 신뢰할 수 있는 표본 추출 방법을 통하여 선정된, 많은 연구 대상자를 가지고, 심도 있는 연구가 추후 반복적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.더욱 더 발전을 거듭하고 있으며, 외식은 여행과 여가 활동의 필수적인 요소로써 그 역할을 일조하고 있다. 이와 같은 여가시간의 증가는 독신자들에게는 좀더 많은 여유시간을 가족을 이루고 있는 가족구성원들에게는 가족과의 유대를 강화하는 휴식과 오락의 소비 트렌드를 창출시켰다. 이와 더불어 외식은 식사를 해결하기 위한 단순한 수단에서 벗어나 동기와 동반자에 따라 달라지는 행동 패턴을 나타내고 있으며, 연령과 목적에 따라 세분화되는 분명한 선호도를 나타낸다. 지난 10여 년간 외국으로부터 수입된 다양한

Estimating Elasticities of Car Travel Demand Using Pseudo-Panel Data (가상패널자료를 이용한 승용차 통행수요 탄력성 추정 연구)

  • The objective of this paper is to construct pseudo-panel data set and estimate price and income elasticities of car travel demand, using 1995-2007 household income and expenditure survey data, in order to provide quantitative information for analyzing related policy effects in the transport sector. We categorized household survey data into 14 cohorts based on the birth year of the household head. As the result, a total of 133 pseudo-panel data sets was created for estimating price and income elasticities of car travel demand. Especially, price and income elasticities of car travel demand were separately estimated both short-term and long-term. We analyzed the panel model considering fixed effect within cohorts, using explanatory variables such as previous year's fuel consumption, real household income after tax, education level of the household head, the number of children under five, and the share of household type averaged by cohorts. As results, the short-term and long-term price elasticities of car travel demand were calculated as 0.2974-0.4280 and 0.4087-0.6275, respectively. Similarly, the short-term and long-term income elasticities were calculated as 0.3364-0.6281 and 0.7098, respectively.

Analysis of the Context of Inclusion and Awareness of Classical Literature Materials in Literature - With a Focus on High School Literature Textbooks (고전문학 제재의 수록 맥락과 교육적 인식의 탐색 -고등학교 문학 교과서를 대상으로-)

  • This study aims to investigate the context of materials in literature textbooks and the awareness about the educational value of classical literature, as part of an interest in literature education phenomena. This study accepts the premise that textbooks affect the practice of classical literature education and, in particular, materials in textbooks are chosen according to the intentions, demands, and perspectives of education in specific social conditions. I divided the educational value of classical literature into two categories, classical and literary value, and investigated the actual conditions and context of materials of literature textbooks based on the 2009 revised curriculum and the 2011 revised curriculum. Classical literature is generally alienated and excluded; contemporary literature materials are mostly included and organized in the domains of 'the role of literature', 'reception and production of literature' and 'literature and life.' In addition, the tendency to heighten classical value and diminish literary value is deepening. In order to solve the problem that classical literature is only included as the product of the past, changes must be made not just to the curriculum, which are external changes, but to the awareness of the essence of classical literature, which are internal changes. Above all, generality as 'literature' and the sense of distance about space and time as 'classic' should be connected to various relationships which respond to problematic situations and the demands of learners. Based on the relationships, we can expect a rich diversity of contexts and aspects of included classical literature. In addition, an extension of the width and scope of included classical literature is anticipated. The reduction of workload, the advent of the concept of capability and the dissolution of traditional literature concepts are the changes of external environment, which is continuously requiring renewed investigation into classical literature beyond simple appropriateness.

A Preliminary Study on Energy Consumption Analysis in Storage Space for Exhibition Facility by using Absorption Material (조습재 사용에 따른 전시시설 수장고의 에너지 사용량 분석에 대한 기초연구)

  • As solve the shortage problems of storage space for exhibition facilities, the South Korean government is establishing plans to expand storage space for exhibition facilities. From a medium- to long-term perspective, an energy-efficient storage space for exhibition facility is needed to implement efficient state budget execution and achieve national greenhouse gas reduction goals. In this regard, this study analyzed the energy consumption of storage space for exhibition facilities according to the use of absorption materials. To this end, a case study was conducted on 12 storage spaces for exhibition facilities in South Korea. Compared to the storage space using the absorption material, the storage space without using the absorption material showed an increase in HVAC system operation time by 47.50% during summer periods and 58.85% in non-summer periods. In particular, the analysis found that in the case of storage for 'H' exhibition facility, the energy cost was reduced by 2,721,700 won/year after remodeling work using the absorption material. It is expected that the findings of this study can help the government and the person in charge from construction companies to construct energy-efficient storage space room for exhibition facilities.

Changes in Carbon Stocks of Coarse Woody Debris in National Forest Inventories: Focus on Gangwon Province (국가산림자원조사 자료를 활용한 고사목의 탄소저장량 변화: 강원도를 대상으로)

  • Considering worldwide efforts to mitigate repercussions of climate change, the South Korean government has declared to reach net zero by 2050 to achieve a carbon-neutral sustainable society. For full implementation of NDCs, the government has actively reflected its forestry sector into these strategies. Since coarse woody debris (CWD) in forests represents an enduring carbon storage, it is of particular significance to determine characteristics of changes in carbon stocks of CWD by utilizing data on dead trees monitored in permanent sample plots within national forest inventories (NFIs). In this study, therefore, both occurrence and carbon stocks of CWD were estimated in such plots using data on CWD from the 5th, 6th, and 7th NFIs. Subsequently, characteristics of changes in carbon stocks over time were analyzed. Based on the analysis of 2,021 plots available for monitoring in each NFI of Gangwon Province, the volume of CWD (m3 ha-1) was found to be 4.71 in the 5th NFI and 4.09 in the 6th NFI. However, the volume of CWD declined to 3.09 in the 7th NFI. Moreover, the annual carbon stocks of CWD (ton C ha-1) were estimated to be 0.67 in 2009, 0.64 in 2014, and 0.41 in 2019, showing a downward trend over time. This study provides a basis for future research to investigate long-term changes and estimate carbon stocks of CWD in South Korea forests.

A study on the Increase in Construction Cost for Zero Energy Building (제로에너지건축물의 공사비 증가분 산출에 관한 연구)

  • As a core policy for achieving the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector, Korea has enforced the mandatory certification of zero energy buildings for new public buildings from 2020. This study suggests energy-saving technologies and economic factors that building officials can refer to for decision-making on the implementation of zero energy buildings. For this study, the construction cost for the energy item of a building was analyzed by collecting the building energy efficiency level certification data and detailed construction cost statement data from public institutions for the last three years. Based on the building energy efficiency certification data, each energy item of the baseline building was derived, and the energy performance of the zero energy building was derived through repetitive simulations by gradually increasing the energy performance value of the baseline building. By applying the analyzed construction cost, the construction cost for each energy item of the baseline and zero energy buildings was derived. As a result, the lighting equipment contributed up to 10.5% energy savings, and the increase in construction cost of the cooling and heating system was at least 9.1%.

Investigating the Use of Energy Performance Indicators in Korean Industry Sector (한국 산업부문의 에너지성과 지표 이용에 관한 연구)

  • Energy management systems (EnMS) contribute to sustainable energy saving and greenhouse gas reduction by emphasizing the role of energy management in production-oriented economies. Although understanding the methods used to measure energy performance is a key factor in constructing successful EnMS, few attempts have been made to examine these methods, their applicability, and their utility in practice. To fill this research gap, this study aimed to deepen the understanding of energy performance measures by focusing on four energy performance indicators (EnPIs) proposed by ISO 50006, namely the measured energy value, ratio between measured values, linear regression model, and nonlinear regression model. This paper presents policy and managerial implications to facilitate the effective use of these measures. An analytic hierarchy process (AHP) analysis was conducted with 41 experts to analyze the preference for EnPIs and their key selection criteria by the industry sector, and organization and user type. The findings suggest that the most preferred EnPI is the ratio between the measured values followed by the measured energy value. The ease of use was considered to be most important while choosing EnPIs.

  • As the incidence and mortality of serious disasters in the construction industry are the highest, various efforts are being made in Korea to reduce them. Among them, risk assessment is used as data for disaster reduction measures and evaluation of risk factors at the construction stage. However, the existing risk assessment involves the subjectivity of the performer and is vulnerable to the domestic construction site. This study established a DB classification system for risk assessment with the aim of early identification and pre-removal of risks by quantitatively deriving risk factors using BIM in the risk assessment field and presents a methodology for risk assessment using BIM. Through this, prior removal of risks increases the safety of construction workers and reduces additional costs in the field of safety management. In addition, since it can be applied to new construction methods, it improves the understanding of project participants and becomes a tool for communication. This study proposes a framework for deriving quantitative risks based on BIM, and will be used as a base technology in the field of risk assessment using BIM in the future.

A Study on the Performance Increase in Building Energy Technology according to the Korea's Zero Energy Building Policy (한국의 제로에너지건축 정책 추진에 따른 건축물 에너지기술 성능 연구)

  • As a key policy for achieving the goal of reducing GHG in the building sector, Korea has enforced the mandatory certification of zero-energy buildings for new buildings in the public sector from 2020. This study evaluated a policy to achieve Net Zero by identifying the trend of changes in building energy performance according to policy and presenting a methodology to analyze the current performance state of energy technology applied to buildings. The final goal was to help stakeholders apply appropriate energy technologies for new buildings. For this study, data collected on building energy efficiency certification over the last four years have shown a gradual increase in energy performance. In addition, K-means cluster analysis was used to analyze the performance status of energy technologies applied to buildings. The high and low clusters of education and office facilities were used to analyze the comparative group (2016-2020, 2020). As a result, the solar module area in both high and low clusters of education facilities increased by 261.1% and 283.5%. In contrast, the solar module area decreased by both high and low clusters of office facilities. The most passive and active technologies showed an increase in energy performance.

Study of Small Craft Resistance under Different Loading Conditions using Model Test and Numerical Simulations (모형시험과 수치해석을 이용한 하중조건 변화에 따른 소형선박의 저항성능 변화에 관한 연구)

  • Weight is a critical factor in the ship design process given that it has a substantial impact on the hydrodynamic performance of ships. Typically, ships are optimally designed for specific conditions with a fixed draft and displacement. However, in reality, weight and draft can vary within a certain range owing to operational activities, such as fuel consumption, ballast adjustments, and loading conditions . Therefore, we investigated how resistance changes under three different loading conditions, namely overload, design-load, and lightship, for small craft, using both model experiments and numerical simulations. Additionally, we examined the sensitivity of weight changes to resistance to enhance the performance of ships, ultimately reducing power requirements in support of the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 50% by 2050. We found that weight changes have a more significant impact at low Froude Numbers. Operating under overload conditions, which correspond to a 5% increase in draft and an 11.1% increase in displacement, can lead to a relatively substantial increase in total resistance, up to 15.97% and 14.31% in towing tests and CFD simulations, respectively.
