Emotional Term Thesaurus for the Design Characteristics of Games (게임성 정의를 위한 형용사 시소리스)

  • The development of human-friendly game technologies understanding and responding to human emotion is a very crucial element in designing games. Out of emotion derived from games, this study attempted to define characteristics of games as a meaning representing the degree of reaching the targeted emotion. When examining most of researches regarding emotion, it has been noted that they tried to extract the most representative emotion through the systematization of emotional vocabulary and evaluate it by the association with the design elements in question. However, this definition would be beneficial only to understanding the direction of game entity and it could not express the emotion of concrete and objective players. Therefore, this study attempted to analyze the sense correlation of adjectives so as for emotional expressions to be represented accurately corresponding to players' intention, by using adjective thesaurus for the systematic understanding of such game entity.

A Study on the Image Scale through the Classification of Emotion in Web Site (웹사이트 사용자 감성유형 분류를 통한 감성척도 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the design factor and the sensitivity in web site. The classification of sensitivity-types consists of the research of books and the survey, and the language specialist's review and the analysis of factor. The research of the Image Scale accomplished through the analysis of the result of sensitivity-types. The major findings of the analysis are summarized as follows. The webpage sensitivity-types are classified into the 7 types, namely 'refreshment', 'calm', 'refinement', 'strongness', 'youth', 'uniqueness', 'futurity'. As a result of analyzing of similarity between the adjectives by multiple standards, the web site Image Scale space consists of the axis between 'heavy-light' and 'soft-hard'. As a result of the research of relationship between the web site design factor and the emotion, the color and the layout influenced into 'soft-hard' much, and the light and the color influenced into 'heavy-light' much.

  • Recently, emotional contents that induce emotions and respond to emotions are given attention in the field of cultural industries, and extracting emotion caused by multimedia contents is being noted. Furthermore, since multimedia contents have been quickly produced and distributed these days, researches automatically to extract the feeling of multimedia contents are being accelerated. In this paper, we will study the method of emotional value extraction in the multimedia contents using the volume value of the multimedia contents in a certain frequency among sound informations. This study allows to extract the emotion of multimedia contents automatically, and the extracted information will be used to provide user's current emotion, weather, etc. for the users.

Research on Emotion Evaluation using Autonomic Response (자율신경계 반응에 의한 감성 평가 연구)

  • Arousal level has been well defined by autonomic responses. However, entire emotion including both valence and arousal level is often questioned to be completely described by only autonomic responses. This study is to find the autonomic physiological parameters which were used emotion evaluation, 15 undergraduate students were asked to watch eight video clips from diverse movies and comedy shows for experiencing emotions. The subjectively experienced emotion were grouped by three factors. Two dimensional emotion model having the pleasant-unpleasant and arousal-non arousal factors were mapped with three physiological responses(GSR, PPG, SKT). The results may suggest that PPG and GSR may be used as arousal index while SKT may pleasant index. And the complex relation of physiological responses to emotional experiences are discussed.

When 50% brightness increase, about pleasure (X-axis) has increased by 10.49 points. Brightness 50%, GREEN 50% increase in the degree of pleasure (X-axis) of 10.49 points, tone (Y axis) has increased by 15.85 points. Brightness 50%, GREEN 50% increase in the degree of pleasure (X-axis) of 10.49 points, tone (Y axis) has increased by 15.85 points. Brightness 50% of the free-extent (X-axis), BLUE 50% when the tone (Y axis), pleasure extent (X-axis) of 10.49 points, tone (Y axis) as much as 14.65 points sensibilities have changed. When representatives emotions size changes have increased 50% brightness, color RED 50%, increased 5.4% Emotional excitement, emotion depressed declined -4.2%. 50% brightness, color GREEN 50% increase in emotional excitement had increased to 8.6%, declined by -5.5% this melancholy sensibility. Representative emotion and emotional changes increase or decrease the size of the emotional attributes were analyzed by quantitative methods. After the happy emotions number is needed to study more similar to the human emotion through the execution of the video image emotion emotional tree computing.

  • Emotion intelligence computing is able to processing of human emotion through it's studying and adaptation. Also, Be able more efficient to interaction of human and computer. As sight and hearing, music & image is constitute of short time and continue for long. Cause to success marketing, understand-translate of humanity emotion. In this paper, Be design of check system that matched music and image by user emotion keyword(irritability, gloom, calmness, joy). Suggested system is definition by 4 stage situations. Then, Using music & image and emotion ontology to retrieval normalized music & image. Also, A sampling of image peculiarity information and similarity measurement is able to get wanted result. At the same time, Matched on one space through pared correspondence analysis and factor analysis for classify image emotion recognition information. Experimentation findings, Suggest system was show 82.4% matching rate about 4 stage emotion condition.
