Experimental Structural Dynamic Modification of Fixture for Vibration Testing (진동시험용 치구의 실험적 구조변경 설계)

  • Vibration test fixture is used in random vibration control testing. The specified reference spectrum should be transmitted equally to the specimen attachment points on the fixture. In most practical cases, however, spectrum at each of specimen attachment points may be quite different from the specified reference spectrum because of the dynamic characteristics of vibration test fixture. This paper proposes the method of experimental dynamic modification of fixture system for vibration test so that the reference spectrum can be transmitted to the specimen attachment points without distortion. The stiffness of mounts of specimen and the thickness of fixture are considered as design variables. The frequency response functions of specimen used for input data are obtained from vibration testing, and the frequency response functions of fixture are obtained from finite element modeling. The sensitivities of frequency response functions at specimen attachment points to the mount stiffness are derived from synthesis method of transfer function. And the sensitivities to the thickness of fixture are also derived from finite element modeling. The presented method is verified by computer simulation and vibration testing.

  • The low- frequency hydrophone sensor, using the recently developed FBG has an excellent merits which the existing fiber-optic sensor has and also it has an excellent signal sensing effect in the environment of low-frequency(30Hz-300Hz), not to be detected by the PZT sensor. we have the detection of frequency 19KHz right signals when was using more Hopper lenz WDM than $1{\times}3$ optical coupler. furthermore, we can expect the uitilization of low-frequency signal detection to be used for the military purpose and also it can be developed as the high-sensibility multiplexing through the sensor array system.

Updating Algorithms of Finite Element Model Using Singular Value Decomposition and Eigenanalysis (특이값 분해와 고유치해석을 이용한 유한요소모델의 개선)

  • Precise and reasonable modelling is necessary and indispensable to the analysis of dynamic characteristics of mechanical structures. Also. the effective prediction of the change of modal properties due to the variation of design parameters is required especially for the application of finite element method to the structural dynamics problems. To meet those necessity and requirement, three model updating algorithms are proposed for finite element methods. Those algorithms are based on sensitivity analysis of the modal data obtained from experimental modal analysis(EMA) and analytical modal analysis(AMA). The adapted sensitivity analysis methods of the algorithms are 1)eigensensitivity(EGNS) method. 2)frequency response function sensitivity(FRFS) method. 3)sensitivity based element-by-element method (SBEEM), Singular value decomposition(SVD) is used for performing eigenanalysis and parameter estimation in the updating process. Those algorithms are applied to finite element of a plate and the updating capability of each algorithm is compared in terms of accuracy. reliability and stability of the updating process. It is shown that the model updating method using frequency response function is superior to the other methods in view of various updating capabilities.

  • The objective of this work is to estimate the temperature dependent thermal properties of the APC-2 composite using a inverse parameter estimation technique. The present inverse method features the estimation of the thermal conductivity and the volumetric heat capacity, which are dependent on the temperature inside the composite. Furthermore, the thermal conductivity is directionally dependent because of the aniosotropy of the composite. An on-line temperature measurement system with a suitable method of heating is built. A composite slab is fabricated using thermoplastic prepreg for the investigation. The corresponding computer code for evaluating the thermal properties inversely using the temperature reading transmitted from the measurement system is developed. The parameterized form is used for the rapid and stable estimation. The modified Newtons method is adopted for the solution technique of the inverse analysis. The estimated results are compared with the measured data from a previous study for the verification.

Implementation of Bio-Sensor with Coupled Plasmon-Waveguide Resonance Profile (결합된 플라즈몬-도파관 공진 구조로 구성된 바이오센서의 구현)

  • The bio-sensing properties of TE and TM guided modes in the coupled plasmon-waveguide resonance (PWR) configuration are investigated. The modal transmission-line theory (MTLT) is used for numerical analysis. The proposed PWR bio-sensor is composed of multi-layered configuration with N pairs of MgF2-Si3N4 layers to enhance the sensitivity of a conventional Ag-based surface plasmon resonance bio-sensor. The angular sensitivity of bio-sensor is numerically analyzed for a wide range of biological solutions (refractive index 1.33~1.37). Furthermore, the availability of sensor to detect cancer cells and blood plasma concentration is evaluated. Finally, the results indicate that the proposed bio-sensor is capable efficiently to detect various kinds of cancer cells and different glucose concentrations in urine.

Implementation of Novel Bio-sensor Platform based on Optical Taper Coupler (광 테이퍼 결합기에 기초한 새로운 바이오-센서 플랫폼의 구현)

  • Non-uniform optical taper waveguides have been widely used as devices for high-efficiency mode coupling, as they are integrated with single-mode optical fibers or photonic crystal waveguides. In this paper, we present a new platform for chemical sensing and bio-sensing using optical taper waveguides with these characteristics. The principle of operation is based on the coupling efficiency and interference properties of optical directional coupler (DC) and multi-mode interference coupler (MMIC). First, the curvature characteristics of taper sections of DC and MMIC is explained, and the design specifications of optimized taper waveguide to increase waveguide sensitivity is selected. Next, the sensor response to the change in refractive index of sensing analyte is numerically analyzed. Numerical results show that as the length of couplers increases, the effective index per change in refractive index unit (RIU) of analyte increases, and that sensitivity can be tuned using taper DC and MMIC design techniques.

초광대역전송선형 FM 변별기에 관한 연구

  • 본논문은 단종된 전송선과 개방된 전송선 및 2개의 결합저항기로 구성된 초광대역전송선형 FM변별기의 동적인 해석(dynamic analysis)을 취급하였다. 변별기의 출력파형의 Harmonic Distortion과 입력신호의 최대허용주파수변위와의 제관계를 Fourier transfrom으로 상세하게 해석하였다. 결합저항계수r(Fig 1 참조)는 변별기의 감도와 입력신호의 전주파수변위에 걸쳐 입력 Impedance가 일정하다는 견지에서 일로 놓아야 된다는 것이 판명되었다. 이론상으로는 100%의 주파수변위를 가진 FM신호라도 본변별기로 불과 2.6% Harmonic distortion으로 검파할 수 있으며 또한 검파시에 변별기의 입력 Impedance는 전종선의 특성 Impedance Z0로 일정하게 유지된다. 이론적인 결과를 뒷받침하기 위하여 실험결과를 첨부하였다. 본실험에서는 변별기의 특성곡선이 중심주파수 85.5Mc를 중심으로 40%의 주파수변위에 대하여 Linear하며, 또한 이때의 변별기의 입력 Impedance의 변화율은 이상치 Z0의 ±14% 이내이다.

  • 본 연구에서는 평판 스페이스 프레임 구조물의 크기 및 형상최적화 기법을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해 평판 스페이스 프레임의 물량에 영향을 미치는 요소인 격자분할 수와 상 하부 평판사이의 높이를 주요 설계변수로 선정함으로써 부재크기 최적화뿐만 아니라 형상최적화 방안도 제시하였다. 또한 평판 스페이스 프레임의 절점 및 부재 자동생성방안이 고려되며 감도해석기법을 이용하여 개발된 최적화 프로그램을 예제모델에 적용하여 설계변수 변화에 따른 구조시스템의 최적의 대안을 강구하고자 한다.

  • The dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic press for micro-stamping are investigated by Finite Element Analysis. This machine requires high precision in producing milli-structure of electric products such as TFT-LCD back-up light reflector. First, the modal analysis of the parts and the assembly of the hydraulic press is performed. Then, the sensitivity analysis is carried out. The results show that the bearing stiffness and the base mounting stiffness affect the specific mode shapes.
