Path analysis is a useful method to find out direct or indirect effects between variables. Compared to regression analysis for studying the casual relationship, this method has a good advantage. In this study, I want to figure out direct or indirect relationships between golf skills and adjust average scores using path analysis. To analyze data, I applied AMOS in SPSS and collected data in 2010 PGA.

The purpose of this study is to investigate mediated effect of spirituality on the relationship between perceived burdensomeness and death anxiety among the elderly. According to the result of this study, it was learned that perceived burdensomeness of aged people has significant correlations with a path of perceived burdensomeness to death anxiety, a path of spirituality to death anxiety and a path of perceived burdensomeness to spirituality. In short, higher perceived burdensomeness results in higher death anxiety, and higher spirituality lowers the death anxiety. This refers that perceived burdensomeness is predictor of death anxiety. In addition, it also indicates that mediated effect of spirituality has significant correlations with both full/partial mediator models - partial mediator model supposes both direct and indirect paths that differ from the way of perceived burdensomeness influences on death anxiety, while full mediator model supposes only indirect path. The result of this study suggests practical proposal to promote the quality of living of the elderly by reducing perceived burdensomeness that stimulates death anxiety and giving opportunity for experiencing spirituality to cope with death anxiety.

The performance of a cognitive radio system with cooperative diversity which includes the direct and indirect path is analysed. The selection relay cooperation which selects the best relay, the relay with the best received signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) in destination node, is considered and derived the performance degradation caused by the CSI(Channel State Information) delay analytically. Numerical examples show that the cooperative diversity which have the direct and the indirect paths effectively improves the system performance in Rayleigh fading; the performance improves 4.4 dB with 1/10 of SNR of the indirect path. And the system performance is more degraded with the less frequency acquisition probability and with the high CSI delay.

Recently, the use of wireless communication systems has been rapidly increasing, which results in a difficult problem in efficient control of limited frequency resources. As a way of solving this problem, the ultra wideband time hopping impulse radio system attracts much attention. The impulse radio system communicates pulse position modulated data using Gaussian monocycle pulses of very short duration less than 1 nsec. Thus the transmitted signal has very low power spectral density and ultra wide bandwidth from near D.C. to a few GHz. It is blown that it hardly interferes with the existing communication systems because of its very low power spectral density. The purpose of this paper is to characterize multipath propagation of the impulse radio signal and to evaluate the performance of the correlator-based receiver for the multipath environments. In this paper, we consider the deterministic two-path model and the statistical indoor multipath model of Saleh and Valenzuela. For the two-path model the output of the correlator with the ideal reference waveform varies according to the relative difference between the indirect path delay and the time interval of PPM, and to the indirect path gains. In addition, the characteristics of bit error rates is measured for the two models through computer simulation. The simulation results indicate that the performance of the impulse radio system depends both on the relative difference between the indirect path delay and the time interval of PPM, and on the indirect path gains. Furthermore, it is observed that the reference signal designed for the AWGN channel can not be applied to the multipath channels.

This study examined the role of self-construals in marital satisfaction among men and women, and explored how independent and interdependent self-construals contribute to or undermine marital satisfaction. Data were drawn from a self-administered questionnaire study in which 489 married people(aged 25-75) residing in Seoul participated. Path analyses were conducted using Structural Equation Modeling Program, and a goodness of fit of the proposed path model was evaluated. As expected, the positive impact of independent self-construal on marital satisfaction was mediated by self-esteem and clarity of communication, and that of interdependent self-construal on marital satisfaction was mediated by psychological stability and a sense of relational well-being. The direct effects of these two types of self-construal on marital satisfaction were opposite. As predicted, independent self-construal decreased marital satisfaction, whereas interdependent self-construal increased it. All of the direct and indirect effects of independent and interdependent self-construals on marital satisfaction were statistically significant, except the indirect effect of interdependent self-construal as mediated by psychological stability. The goodness of fit indexes of the path model indicated that the model was acceptable. However, the results of separate path analyses for men and women showed that some of the effects of self-construals on marital satisfaction differed by gender. Based on these results, implications for clinical social work practice were discussed.

인공위성 편대비행에서는 위성간 거리가 수 미터에서 수 킬로미터에 달하기 때문에 궤도 배치 및 재배치시 위성간 충돌의 문제는 매우 중요하다. 따라서 궤도 배치 및 재배치 단계에서 위성간 충돌을 피하고, 연료소모를 최소화시키면서 목적한 최종 배치를 만족시키는 최적경로를 산출하는 방법이 최근들어 연구되고 있다. 최적 경로를 산출하는 궤적 최적화 (Trajectory optimization) 문제를 풀기 위한 방법으로 크게 직접적인 (Direct) 방법과 간접적인 (Indirect) 방법이 있다. (중략)

We selected core documents from enormous number of documents by analyzing citation relation of papers or patents including direct citation and indirect citation. Then we tried to creat the technology evolution path from citation network tree. By applying the method to the patent DB of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), we obtained genealogical citation network of core patents of OLED. We analyzed how the one of OLED technology was transferred to the semiconductor related technology and we named the process of transition as 'technology evolution path' of OLED technology. And we also analyzed the genealogical citation network of papers on graphene. From the analysis, we found that the weight count method including indirect citation was better in evaluating the value of technology of a paper than the times cited method.

The purpose of this study is to examine pathways of factors that influence job satisfaction for full-time and part-time married female employees with children of 18 or under and to compare path coefficients for two groups. Simultaneously analyzing multiple populations, we found that the path model was appropriate for both groups with significant differences in path coefficients. Income, workplace size, husband's support for wife's work, and work-to-family conflict had direct effects on job satisfaction for both groups whereas health had a direct effect only among full-time workers. Family-to-work conflict had an indirect effect for both types of workers, while health had an indirect effect among full-time employees only, and income and having children under school age among part-time employees only. The results indicate that differentiated approaches to increase job satisfaction for full- and part-time employees are needed.
