Although systems with finite capacities have been the topic of much study, there are as of yet no analytic expressions for (higher) moment and tail probability of stationary waiting times in systems with even constant processing times. The normal queueing theory cannot properly handle such systems due to the difficulties caused by finite capacity. In this study, for a DBR (Drum-Buffer-Rope) line production system with constant processing times, we introduce analytic expressions by using previous results obtained using a max-plus algebraic approach.

Discovering customers' behavioral patterns from large data set and providing them with corresponding services or products are critical components in managing a current business. However, the diversity of customer needs coupled with the limited resources suggests that companies should make more efforts on understanding and managing specific groups of customers, not the whole customers. The key issue of this paper is based on the fact that the behavioral patterns extracted from the specific groups of customers shall be different from those from the whole customers. This paper proposes the idea of pre-segmentation before developing customer classification models. We collected three customers' demographic and transactional data sets from a credit card, a tele-communication, and an insurance company in Korea, and then segmented customers by major variables. Different churn prediction models were developed from each segments and the whole data set, respectively, using the decision tree induction approach, and compared in terms of the hit ratio and the simplicity of generated rules.

Although most commercial relational DBMSs Provide a graphical query language for the user friendly interfaces of the databases, few research has been done for graphical query languages in object databases. Expressing complex query conditions in a concise and intuitive way has been an important issue in the design of graphical query languages. Since the object data model and object query languages are more complex than those of the relational ones, the graphical object query language should have a concise and intuitive representation method. We propose a graphical object query language called GOQL (Graphical Object Query Language) for object databases. By employing simple graphical notations, advanced features of the object queries such as path expressions including set attributes, quantifiers, and/or methods can be represented in a simple graphical notation. GOQL has an excellent expressive power compared with previous graphical object query languages. We show that path expressions in XSQL(1,2) can be represented by the simple graphical notations in GOQL. We also propose an algorithm that translates a graphical query in GOQL into the textual object query with the same semantics. We finally describe implementation results of GOQL in the Internet environments.

Today, we are confronted with huge amount of data which contain complex documents, images and multimedia contents. Therefore a new method is needed to analyze and manage the mathematical expressions and extract new Information from them. It is more and more important to manage the document files including mathematical expressions which are generated by general-purpose word processors. Three major word processors are shared over 90% of domestic market. These are HWP, TeX and MS word. Due to the progress of Internet and digital library, it is necessary to develop a system to manage the document file containing mathematical expressions over the Web.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the satisfaction and requirements of users' devices after development of tablet based AAC(Augmentative and Alternatice Communication) application for Android. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the satisfaction and the requirement of tablet - based AAC application, Were assessed using the Korea Assistive Technology Assessment Tool (KAAT). As a result of satisfaction evaluation of tablet-based smart AAC device, all the items including device, service, and everyday life showed positive response satisfying from 5 point scale to more than 4 point scale. However, it was relatively low in the items of effectiveness, manipulation and convenience. Some of the improvements in the application include the enlargement of the symbol sound and the simplicity of symbol editing. The results of the study suggest that continual updates of m Smart AAC applications, the simplicity of symbolic editing, application usage and training should be improved. The satisfaction evaluation results of this study and the feedback of potential users will be the guidelines for improving and complementing the functions of existing smart AAC devices.

금번 연구는 공간 음상 정위에 직면하는 주된 문제점인 음색왜곡과 음질저하의 영향 인자들과 개선방안을 고찰한다. 측정 머리전달함수로부터 청각기관의 공간 음상에 대만 인지양적 특성치 (양귀 음압레벨 차이 ILD와 음압 도달시간 차비 ITD)를 추정하는 새로운 방법의 제안, 총간 음상정위 특성치의 새로운 DB구축, 그러고 이를 이용한 공간 음상 정위 구현방법의 새로운 방안을 소개한다. 그리고, 제안된 공간 음상 구현 기법은 음색 왜곡 및 음질저하를 최소화할 뿐 아니라 구현 방법의 간결성 때문에 제품화로 직접 적용할 수 있는 장점을 제공할 수 있음을 본 논문에서 보인다.

In this paper, we present a standard S/W solution for nursery administration. This S/W would substitute for classical nonscientific nursery management that has depended on personal experience and intuition. Especially, the suggest S/W design concepts are based on a diary writing on a computer. It means every statistical data and information for a sales forecast analyzed on the program just by keeping a din. Also it has two operation mode of easy menu and advanced menu for a different level of user.

표지판이나 지도, 안내책자 같은 매체들은 사용자에게 여러 정보(위치정보, 부가정보)를 제공한다. 이런 매체를 통한 위치정보와 부가정보는 직관적이고 간결하며 정적으로 표현되어 있다. 그리고 정보제공의 형태를 보면 사용자가 정보를 취득해 가야 하는 점에서 수동적으로 볼 수 있다. 하지만 사용자는 정보 욕구가 증가할수록 정적인 정보보다는 동적인 정보를 요구하고, 수동적인 정보제공 방법보다는 능동적인 정보제공 방법을 선호한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 정보보조시스템(IAS)은 기존의 IAS 시스템과 달리, 직관적이고 간결한 정보 전달의 수단으로 증강현실 기술을 사용하고, 능동적 정보제공의 방법으로 에이전트 시스템을 사용한다. 실제 구현 과정에서 성능 향상을 위한 아이디어를 추가하여, 제안하는 방법들의 효용성을 검증한다.
