Wood-rotting fungi of the Aphyllophorales were collected through field trips to mountain areas of the country from January to December of 1997. Through the observation and identification of specimens, two genera, Meruliopsis (type species=M. taxicola) and Pseudomerulius (type species=P. aureus), and four species, Phanerochaete calotricha, Phanerochaete chrysorhiza, Meruliopsis corium, and Pseudomerulius aureus were confirmed as new wood-rotting fungi to Korea and are registered here with descriptions.

Modern cultural heritage were made with various materials. But there are no certain analysis for modern cultural heritage. Analysis on rickshaw from National Museum of Korean Contemporary History were carried out using P-XRF, species identification, paint film analysis, FT-IR and microscope observation. As a result Copper and Zinc were measured in metal parts. Nickel alloys were first used in the modern era for rickshaw. Wooden parts, Oak(Quercus spp.), bamboo(Phyllostachys spp.) and Hinoki cypress(Chamaecyparis spp.) were identified. Outer films were painted by 5 layers and inner films were painted by 3 layers. More simple painting process were performed on the inner part. Cotton and wool were identified by FT-IR. Also, cowhide were identified. Authenticity conservation and restoration could be carried out with the results.

휴대폰.PMP.MP3P 등 디지털기기 시장이 커지면서 주변기기들도 소비자들의 관심을 받고 있다. 이들 기기를 보호하는 케이스 판매량이 최근 크게 늘고 있는 것. 휴대폰의 경우, 슬림폰과 컬러폰의 유행으로 온라인 시장에서 케이스 매매가 급증하고 있다. PMP도 제품 보호를 위한 가죽소재 가방(파우치)과 아머케이스(armorcase)가 필수품으로 인식되면서 판매량이 늘고 있다. PMP제조사들은 신제품 출시 때, 이를 포함한 팩키지 상품을 판매하는 게 현재 추세다. 가격대가 떨어지면서 보급화되다시피한 MP3P에서는 패션을 강조하는 케이스가 젊은층에게서 인기를 끌고 있다.

호랑이는 죽어서 가죽을 남기고 사람은 죽어서 이름을 남기고, 큰 맘 먹고 나섰던 여행은 일상으로 돌아올 때 '사진'을 남긴다. '기록은 기억을 지배한다'는 어느 유명한 디지털카메라 제조업체의 광고문구처럼, 여행 후 남은 한장의 사진은 추억의 일부가 된다. 여행과 사진은 참으로 잘 맞는 궁합이다. 여행에 사진이 없더라도, 사진을 찍으러 굳이 여행을 떠나지 않더라도 크게 상관은 없지만, 이들이 어우러지는 경우 훌륭한 작품이 되곤 한다. 사진을 찍는 사람에게는 잊을수 없는 추억이, 사진을 보는 사람에게는 동경의 대상이 되는 게 바로 사진이다. 이번 호에서는 사진이라는 콘텐츠가 '지도'라는 정보를 만나서 더 좋은 추억과 기록으로 남을 수 있는 방법을 소개하고자 한다.

동서양을 막론하고 책의 역사를 거슬러 올라가 보면 인류문명의 기록을 남기기 위한 필사의 노력들을 발견할 수 있다. '기록'과 '보존'이라는 절대절명의 목적이 있었기 때문이다. 그러므로 최초 책이 등장하면서부터 미적기능을 통한 시각적인 효과 보다는 보존을 위한 기능이 더욱 중요시 되었다. 그러나 활자문화가 대중화되고 책이 상품으로 인식되기 시작하면서부터 보호.전달기능을 넘어서 보다 미적인 처리가 요구되었다. 이같은 책은 역사의 변화와 더불어 오래 보존이 가능하고 독특한 멋을 내기 위해 가죽, 나무, 비단, 철판, 비닐, 종이 등에 갖가지 화려한 문양을 첨가하면서 변모해 왔다.

The chloroprene adhesive for ladies' shoe-making applied by the cementing method in KS G 3116 has been evaluated.. For the quality test of adhesive for pump whole cut vamp using chloroprene adhesive, general property and adhesion strength were measured and duration for environmental exposure was tested. Also, a list of experiments for field application was prepared. In case of adhesion-strength measurement,, the KS G 3116 method of peel strength at end of toe was found to be reasonable by measurement through a whole length, toe to heel seat on feather edge.

The aim of the study intends to investigate wearing practice of personal protective equipment for firefighter in gyeongnam province and to provide the base data for the safety and health of firefighter. The results of the study are as follows. The overall reliability of fire personal protection equipment has been investigated by 3.19 and an overall improvement in the personal protective equipment is needed. Firefighter showed such a low satisfaction leather fire boots(2.68), glove(2.67) and rubber fire boots(2.59) in personal protective equipment and rubber fire boots(2.75), glove(2.77) and leather fire boots(2.97) has been investigated by the state of the poor. For personal protective equipment, firefighters have been experiencing many difficulties on the fit and weight. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to be designed ergonomically and to develop high-performance, lightweight materials.

Crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis L.), Dandelion (Taraxacum platycarpum H. DAHLST.), Annual bluegrass (Poa annua L.), Gree kyllinga (Kyllinga brevifolia var.), Red clover (Trifolium pratense L.), Annual lespedeza (Kummerowia striata (Thunb.)Schindl.), Mugwort (Artemisia capillaris Thunb.), Horseweed (Erigeron canadensis L.), Field horsetail (Equisetum arvense L.) are major weeds in turf. In this study, 23 medicinal plant extracts were tested for herbicidal activities against crabgrass and dandelion in the course of major weed in turf. In pot experiment, we implemented pre-emergence application used medicinal plant extracts showed herbicidal activity in petridish experiment. In effect, inhibition rates of germination were 61.0% at Curcuma longa extract and 62.5% at Cnidium officinale extract in crabgrass pot experiment, and 77.8% at Ailanthus altissima extract in dandelion pot experiment.
