This study explores the discoures of family and family policy in the legislative process of Strong Family Act. Critical discourse analysis was used. The results are follows. The Strong Family Act made family issue as a political agenda in spite of much critics. The characteristics of the family discourse in "strong family camp": 1) The emphasis on the moral principle in family 2) denial of deinstitutionalization of family 3) regarding the family problem as a moral and individual problem 4) regarding the state as managing and controling the family. The characteristics of the family discourse in "critical camp": 1) strong family discourse is related to "the family" ideology 2) regarding the family problem as a social, structural problem 3) regarding the state as subsiding, supplementing families. The characteristics of the family policy discourse in "strong family camp": 1) casual efficiency as justifying logics 2) family policy as means to recover family values 3) deunifying the family policy. On the one hand, the characteristics of the family policy discourse in "critical camp": 1) social consensus and academic discussion as justifying logics 2) regarding the family policy as a means of gender equality and strategical point of welfare state expansion. The discourse of family and family policy, especially 'Strong Family Discourse" resulted in conjugation of nationalism and neoliberalism.

The present study set out to investigate influencing factors on family strength. The sample consisted of 249 male and female married adults who were in the class of social welfare in S cyber university. Analysis revealed that married adults' family strength level was 3.86(above the moderate). Among variables, marital status, religion, income, economic problems couple conflict, conflict with mother-in-law, children's problem, family of origin experiences were associated with family strength. Regression analysis revealed that family cooperation and harmony of family were associated with family strength among 8 sub-factors : overall emotional health of family, conflict resolution, acceptance of separation and loss, permission to others, harmony of family, family cooperation, independence in extended family, power balance in family. These findings highlight the collective characteristics of Korean family and traditional values emphasizing the harmony influences the family strength through the generation.

This research analyzed the contents of the high school home economics textbooks within the 7th Curriculum from three theoretical viewpoints: structure functionalism family development and healthy family. A quantitative and in-depth content analysis were carried out with the six elements of family structure, family role, family relation, family life cycle, adjustment to the aged, marriage and childbirth. From the in-depth analysis, a healthy family viewpoint was reflected in the family structure, family role, adjustment to the aged, marriage and childbirth elements and a structure functionalist viewpoint was found in the family relation element. The family life cycle elements reflected a strong tendency of family development theory. The quantitative content analysis consisting of pictures, illustrations, examples indicated that a structure functional viewpoint was prevalent in both the family structure and family role elements. Overall, structure functionalism and healthy family viewpoint were reflected at similar level in the textbook. Implications for curriculum development, teaching methods and future study were suggested.

5월 5일 어린이날, 5월 8일 어버이날, 5월 21일 부부의 날, 이렇듯 5월은 가족을 위한 기념일이 가득 차 있다. 이맘때쯤이면 사랑하는 가족들을 위해 무엇을 선물해야 할까 고민에 빠지게 된다. 가족의 건강은 그 어떤 것과도 비교할 수 없을 만큼 소중한 것이다. 특히 60세 이상 어르신들이 받고 싶어 하는 선물이 건강검진이라고 한다. 아이부터 연로하신 부모님까지 필요한 건강검진을 알아보자.

This study is purposed to investigate the high school students' consciousness of the family strength. The subject of this study were 598 high school students in Gyeongnam Province. Statistical analysis was carried out using SPSS 12.0 Programs including frequencies, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis and regression. The results of this study are as follows: First, the degree of high school students' consciousness of the family strength was found to be 3.28 out of 5. Second, The significant variables affecting the results were monthly pocket money father's occupation, self-esteem and filial duty consciousness. Third, filial piety was found to be a variable most affecting family strength.

The study aims to comprehend the health needs of multicultural families, identify relevant policies, and explore ways to enhance health information accessibility through Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Employing a qualitative research method, the health status of multicultural families was analyzed through literature review, followed by in-depth interviews. The findings revealed a lower priority given to health policies for multicultural families compared to other governmental sectors, with limited discussion on leveraging ICT for improved accessibility. In-depth interviews highlighted four main themes: "Early experiences in Korean society," "Language barriers in medical facilities," "Unmet healthcare needs for various reasons," and "High demand for health-related services." To safeguard health rights and enhance information accessibility, we recommend strengthening linguistic support in healthcare institutions, implementing government efforts for multicultural families, and designing user-centered ICT platforms.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the family stresses and its managing strategy to cope with the stresses, and family strengths in dual-income teachers. The subjects of this study were 289 dual-income teachers in the Gyeongnam Area, Korea. The major findings obtained from this study are summarized as follows: 1) The degree of family stresses in dual-income teachers was 2.90 on a scale of 0-5.0. The most stressful aspect for the dual-income teachers came from the role of housework. 2) The degree of coping strategy in dual-income teachers was 3.48, on a scale of 0-5.0. Among the strategies, the 'cognitive restructuring' shows the first. 3) The degree of family strengths of dual-income teachers was 3.88 on a scale 0-5.0. The significant variables were economic level, self-esteem, job satisfaction, and marital satisfaction in dual-income teachers. 4) The most effective variable of family strengths in dual-income teachers was coping strategy.

This is a descriptive research study aimed to investigate the relationship between health promoting behaviors, and some factors such as family function, health perception, and self - efficacy of nursing college students and identify the factors affecting health promoting behaviors. Results showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy were correlated with health promoting behaviors. Regression analysis showed that family function, health perception, and self - efficacy seemed to explain 37.7% of health promoting behaviors. Thus, as family function, health perception, and self-efficacy are important factors that affect health promoting behaviors of nursing college students, it is necessary to develop a health education program considering family function, health perception, and self-efficacy to promote desirable health promoting behaviors. In the follow-up study, it is necessary to expand the study subjects and the results of such studies should be applied to the development of programs aimed at promoting the health of nursing college students, and further studies should be conducted to verify the effectiveness of those programs.

The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between home environment stimulation, and parenting self-efficacy and family health. Participants consisted of 569 mothers and their children living Incheon and Buchon Province. Home Environment Stimulation Scale, Parenting Self-Efficacy, and Family Health questionnaire were administered to the mothers. Descriptive statistics, t-test, F-test, correlation analysis, and regression were used for data analysis. Analysis of variance revealed statistically significant differences in the family healths according to mothers' employment, income, Mothers' education level predicts Mothers' parenting self-efficacy, home environment stimulation and family health.
