The effects of three basketball wheelchairs on propulsion movement (포지션별 농구용 휠체어가 추진동작에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate propulsive time and kinematic variables on the three different kinds of the basketball wheelchairs in each play position for eight abled basketball wheelchair players. Kinematic data were collected by a video camera for two-dimensional analysis. The wheelchairs for the guard position showed the fastest in total propulsive time. The wheelchairs for the center position revealed the slowest in the phase of the change of the direction. The wheelchair for the guard position which shows fast movement velocity demonstrated closer hand contact with TDC(Top Dead Center). The wheelchair for the center position revealed the largest extension of the elbow and flexion of the trunk at handrim contact. The wheelchair for the guard position which has the lowest seat height presented larger elbow angle and trunk angle. The wheelchair for the guard position produced more fast trunk angular velocity than the wheelchair for other positions.

  • 최근 스마트폰은 가장 대중적인 모바일 기기로서 초중등 학생들의 교육적인 활용 가능성은 다른 IT 기기에 비해서 높다고 할 수 있다. 또한 교육용 소프트웨어 중에서 컴퓨터의 잠재성을 가장 잘 보여줄 수 있는 것은 시뮬레이션이다. 그러나 스마트폰에서 실행되는 교육용 소프트웨어는 다른 모바일 기기에 비해서 특히 작은 화면에 대한 제약 등을 고려해야 하는 특성을 가지고 있다. 이 논문에서는 대표적인 시뮬레이션형 교육용 앱들을 분석하고, 이를 토대로 스마트폰의 특성을 고려한 교육용 콘텐츠 개발전략을 제시하였다.

Effect of Substrates on the Growth, Yield and Fruit Quality of Strawberry in Elevated Hydroponic System (딸기의 고설수경재배에서 배지의 종류가 생육, 수량 및 과실의 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • The experiment has investigated the effects of growth, yield, and fruit quality of strawberries by three different kinds of substrates. Commonly used media cocopeat, cocopeat mixed with rice hulls and compound nursery media were used to select a proper medium by comparing growth status, yield and fruit quality. Number of leaves was most in cocopeat substrate, and leaf length and leaf width were highest in compound nursery media. Fruit weight was heaviest in compound nursery media, but there were no significant statistical differences in fruit length, fruit width and soluble solids of fruit. Number of fruits per plant was much in compound nursery media and cocopeat than cocopeat mixed with rice hulls. The most yield per plant was in compound nursery media and the least it was in cocopeat mixed with rice hulls. The results of this experiment will be utilized in the new substrate application for strawberry hydroponics.

풍력발전시스템용 증속기 신뢰성 확보 기술

  • 풍력발전시스템은 육상용에서 해상용으로 개발되며 대형화하고 있는 추세이다. 풍력발전시스템이 해상용 등으로 대형화되면서 유지, 보수에 높은 비용이 소요되고 이에 따라 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 요구가 더 커지고 있다. 증속기의 경우 고장 빈도도 낮지 않고, 고장 발생 시 심각도가 높아 신뢰성이 가장 높게 요구된다. 최근 증속기의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위한 연구 개발에서 수명에 가장 영항을 크게 미치는 조건으로 적용하중 영향에 대한 비토크 하중(non-torque load)과 유성기어열의 설계 인자로 취급되는 하중 분할(load sharing), 치면 하중 분포(face-load distribution) 그리고 이를 필수적으로 입증하고자 요구되는 시험/평가 기술에 대하여 소개하고자 한다.

A Study on the Parent Awareness for Use of dentifrice and Toothbrush among Preschoolers (영유아의 치약 및 칫솔 사용에 대한 부모의 인식도 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the use of dentifrice among preschoolers in an attempt to provide consumers with the right information on the choice of dentifrice and toothbrush for different age groups of children. The subjects in this study were parents who raised preschoolers in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. A self-administered survey was conducted over approximately three months from May to July 2007 to find out the state of their children's use of dentifrice. After the collected data were analyzed, the following findings were given: The greatest group (51.5%) needed parental help with toothbrushing. The biggest group of the patients (35.6%) considered it necessary for children at the age of 6 and 7 to brush their teeth with the help of their parents. As to dentifrice squeezing and parental outlook on that, the biggest group of the parents (49.4%) replied their children squeezed the dentifrice for themselves, and the greatest group (42.2%) thought that children needed parental help with dentifrice squeezing by the age of five. Regarding dentifrice swallowing and parental perception of it, the biggest group (61.9%) saw their children swallowing the dentifrice, and the greatest group (73.7%) believed that children must not swallow the dentifrice. The biggest group of those who found it okay for children to swallow the dentifrice (62.5%) thought that it would be no problem to swallow the dentifrice for child. Concerning the use of toothbrushes, the biggest group (96.7%) had their children use toothbrushes for child. The above-mentioned findings of the study showed that the children who are at the age of 3 or down should use non-fluoride containing dentifrice or just a small amount of fluoride that is as equal as the size of a pea. Children must brush their teeth under the guidance of their parents, and sustained education should be provided about that.

  • The influence of two process parameters (starter and fermentation period) on sourdough bread qualities was investigated. Bifidobacterium longum/Enterococcus faecium/Lactobacillus acidophilus (a mixed culture) was used as a starter. The five production conditions tested were: Control (sourdough fermentation with yeast); LAB 1(fermentation with mixed culture); LAB 2 (fermentation with yeast and mixed culture, respectively); LAB 3 (fermentation with yeast and mixed culture); and LAB 4 (first fermentation with yeast and mixed culture, respectively, followed by a second fermentation using the combination). The LAB 4 process showed the most favorable fermentation characteristics upon CrumbScan analysis, and the highest specific bread volume (5.14 mL/g). These results were reflected in the sensory evaluation of bread produced by the LAB 4 process; the bread achieved an excellent overall acceptance ranking of 3.7. Upon firmness analysis, the LAB 2, LAB 3, and LAB 4 bread figures were 113.67 g, 111.97 g, and 113.50 g, respectively. Thus, the firmness of LAB 2, LAB 3, and LAB 4 bread was higher than that of the control (93.20 g), although the aroma compounds of bread produced by the five processes did not differ. These results show that LAB 4 bread had improved sourdough properties, compared to control.

Water Quality Variations by Irrigation Water Supply Step (Agricultural Reservoir-Irrigation Channel-Paddy Field) (농업용수 공급단계별(저수지-관개수로-논) 수질변화)

  • 농업용수는 전통적 기능으로 농업용수 그 자체로서의 기능과 시대적 요구에 따른 지역용수로서의 기능을 가진다. 농업용수 그 자체의 기능으로 가장 중요한 것은 관개용수이며, 논, 밭관개, 하우스 시설농업에의 용수공급이다. 농업용수의 실 수요량 측면에서는 논용수가 전체용수 수요량의 60.1%로 가장 많은 양을 차지하고 있으며, 다음으로는 밭용수가 18.6%, 그 외 생활용수, 공업용수, 환경용수, 축산용수 등으로 이용되고 있다. 농업용수 수요 측면에서 논용수의 비중이 가장 높게 나타나기 때문에 본 연구에서는 농업용수 공급에 따라 농업용저수지-관개수로-논에 이르는 공급단계별 수질변화를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 경기, 충남 권역의 오염도가 높은 3개 농업용저수지를 대상으로 하였으며, 농업용수를 본격적으로 공급하는 5월부터 관개가 종료되는 10월까지 농업용저수지와 관개수로, 논을 대상으로 수온, TOC, Chl-a 등 10개 항목을 분석하여 나타내었다. 연구기간동안 수온의 변화는 18.6~34.6 ℃로서 관개수로에 가장 낮고, 논에서 가장 높은 값을 보여 주었으며, 공급단계별 평균 수온은 저수지(R) 27.6 ℃, 관개수로(C) 26.4 ℃, 논(P) 28.4 ℃로 논에서 수온증가가 나타났다. pH는 7.4~9.7의 범위로 저수지에서 최고값, 논에서 최저값을 보였으며, 공급단계별 평균값은 R 9.1, C 8.3, P 8.0으로 저수지, 수로, 논으로 이동하면서 감소하였다. 전기전도도(EC)는 저수지 수질오염도에 따라 다양하게 나타났으며, 공급단계별 평균값은 R 706.3 uS/cm, C 585.5 uS/cm, P 771.2 uS/cm로 논에서 가장 높은 값으로 보였으며, 이는 논에서 추가적인 영양분 공급에 의한 것으로 보였다. 평균 용존산소량(DO)은 R 6.3, C 4.0, P 4.5로 저수지에서 가장 높고, 수로에서 가장 낮게 나타났다. 유기물 지표인 COD와 TOC의 변화를 보면 평균 COD R 21.7 mg/L, C 14.5 mg/L, P 22.7 mg/L, 평균 TOC R 11.2 mg/L, C 8.5 mg/L, P 12.3 mg/L로 두 항목 모두 논에서 가장 높은 값을, 수로에서 가장 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 반면 엽록소 a 평균 농도는 R 128.4 mg/m3, C 54.3 mg/m3, P 31.7 mg/m3로 저수지의 내부생산으로 다량 발생한 조류가 수로와 논으로 이동하면서 급격하게 감소하여 나타났다. 이는 저수지와 논의 유기물 성상이 다름을 보여준다. 영양염류인 총인(TP)의 평균값 변화를 보면 R 0.302 mg/L, C 0.374 mg/L, P 0.384 mg/L로, 저수지에서 수로, 논으로 이동하면서 점차 증가하여 나타났다. 이는 농업용저수지에서 수로, 논으로 관개용수가 이동하면서 오염수 유입 또는 비료 등의 투입이 이루어진 결과로 판단된다. 이와 같이, 농업용저수지의 수질이 논에 그대로 유지되어 유입되지 않고 공급단계에 따라 변화하고 있으므로 항목별 수질 변화 특성을 이해한 후 농업용수 수질관리가 이루어 져야 할 것이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide productivity analysis of conventional slab method productivity and deckplate methods in building construction. Productivity analysis was performed on the data in construction sites and a interview survey. The results of this study are as follow: 1. Antioxidant Activity of Vinegars Commercially Available in Korean Markets (국내 시판되는 식초의 항산화 활성)

  • The aim of this study was to determine the antioxidant compounds (polyphenolics and flavonoids) and to evaluate antioxidant activities using 2,2'-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS) radical scavenging activity and reducing power in 19 vinegar samples. In general, antioxidant activities and antixoidant compounds in drinking vinegars were higher than those in seasoning vinegars. The highest polyphenolic content was found in balsamic vinegar (372.53 mg/100 mL) and also the highest flavonoid contents was in balsamic vinegar (114.40 mg/100 mL). Organic acid content in glacial acetic acid among 19 samples was found in highest amount. There was no relationships between antioxidant compounds/activities and organic acid content in vinegar samples. Therefore, it is assumed that antioxidant activity of vinegars is due to the polyphenolic and/or flavonoid contents of the vinegar samples.
