  • Turbo Code는 반복 복호알고리듬을 사용함으로써 백색 가우시안 잡음(AWGN)채널 환경에서 Shannon의 한계에 가까운 성능을 보이는 오류정정 방식으로 제안되었다. 그러나 Turbo code는 반복복호로 인해 매복호시마다 큰 인터리버와 복호기를 거쳐야 하기 때문에 수신과정에서 커다란 지연을 요구하게 된다. 따라서 차세대 무선 멀티미디어 통신에서 실시간으로 음성서비스나 화상서비스를 제공하는데 어려움이 많다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 터보 복호기를 변형하여 매 복호시 각각의 복호기에서 출력시퀀스를 발생시킴으로서 반복 복호 횟수를 줄이는 방법을 제안하였다. 이렇게 함으로서 기존의 Turbo code가 갖는 성능은 크게 변화시키지 않으면서 각각의 정보프레임을 가변적으로 복호함으로서 반복복호로 인한 시간 지연을 줄일수 있었다.

  • In this paper, a variable structure current control scheme for field-oriented induction motor drive is presented. The current controller based on space voltage vector PWM scheme consists of feedforward, decouple and variable structure control. The proposed current controller tracks reference value quickly, has robust property against parameter variation and disturbance, reduces switching frequency and improves performance of induction motor drive. Finally, the proposed current controller is verified by digital simulation

  • We demonstrate a new pulse characterization scheme relying on self-heterodyning that uses intracavity frequency shifter in a fiber soliton laser with frequency shifted feedback. By heterodyning the frequency-shifted pulse stream with the unshifted one, and by measuring the beat strength with varying the delay length between two pulse streams, we obtain the amplitude autocorrelation function from which we estimate the pulsewidth. The result is in good agreement with that obtained by the autocorrelation relying on the second harmonic generation.

  • If a sinusoidal excitation force moves back and forth along a structure with a certain frequency, the structure will be excited with the difference frequency of these two frequencies. A low frequency vibration shaker has been developed using this force frequency shifting without actually moving a shaker The shaker consists of an ordinary eccentric mass shaker, a plate, constant springs, and time varying dampers. The dampers are turned on and off in a sequential manner to simulate a traveling slide of an excitation force. The operation of the shaker is simulated by solving the equations of motion of the shaker. Characteristics of the shaker have been found and they can be utilized to design efficient low frequency shakers.

  • The motion of a system composed of a plate, constant springs and varying dampers is considered when the system is subject to harmonic force. Letting the frequencies of harmonic force and damper variation ${\Large f}_1\;and\;{\Large f}_2$ respectively, the displacement at the center of the plate has the strongest component at frequency ${\Large f}_1$. The angular displacement of the plate has strong components at ${\Large f}_1-{\Large f}_2$ and the natural frequency of the rotational mode of the system. If these two frequencies coincide, the plate oscillates with almost single frequency and a large amplitude. Part of these simulation results are proved analytically.

  • In this paper, we propose a new variable bit-rate speech coder based on the waveform interpolation concept. After the coder extracted all parameters, the amounts of the distortions between the current and the predicted parameters which are estimated by extrapolation using past two parameters are measured for all parameters. A parameter would not be transmitted unless the distortion exceeds the preset threshold. At the decoder side, the non-transmitted parameter is reconstructed by extrapolation with past two parameters used to synthesize signals. In this way, we can reduce 26% of the total bit rate while retaining the speech quality degradation below 0.1 PESQ score.

  • This paper proposed a method of feature parameter extraction for shape information analysis of moving object. In the 2-D plane, moving object are extracted by the difference method. Feature parameters of moving object are chosen area, perimeter, a/p ratio, vertex, x/y ratio. We changed brightness variation from the range of 600Lux to the 1400Lux and then determined Permissible Error range of feature parameter due to the brightness variation. So as to verify the validity of proposed method, experiment are performed with a toy car and it's results showed that decision error was less than 6%.

  • To improve the set comfort of commercial vehicles in various road conditions, it is necessary to design a seat shock absorber which can avoid the vibration zone imposing the discomfort feeling and fatigue on drivers. Through the vibration and dynamic analysis, a shock absorber that has 4 steps of damping ability is developed. Dynamic characteristics analysis of the seat damper is performed considering each valve and oil path for the design purpose.

  • 본 논문에서는 잡음이 첨가된 오디오 신호로부터 잡음을 추정하고 이에 따른 지각 필터 적용을 통한 음질 개선 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 지각 필터는 고정된 잡음을 사용하여 잡음이 가변적일 경우 그 성능이 저하되었으며 독립 성분 분석만을 사용하여 잡음을 제거할 경우 잡음이 완전히 분리되지 못하고 잔류하게 된다. 그러나 제안된 잡음 추정 알고리즘은 독립성분 분석을 이용하여 잡음 에너지를 획득하고 이를 지각 필터에 적용함으로써 전 대역의 잡음 에너지를 효과적으로 제거할 수 있게 된다. 기존의 독립성분분석만을 이용한 방법과의 비교를 위하여 SSNR 비교를 수행하였고 그 결과를 통해 성능 개선을 확인 할 수 있었다.

  • The existence of the j-type collision periodic orbit is examined on the condition of mass ratio 0.9878449 and Jacobian constant 2.9∼3.4. Using the Birckhoff's regularization method and the 5th order Runge-Kutta variable step-sized numerical roution introduced by Fehlberg (1968). we test their periodicities. As the results, 4 j-type collision orbits and 5 peculiar orbits are represented. There are good agreements in this collision orbits with the relationship between the period and the shape of orbit proposed by Pinotsis Zikides(1984).
