  • This paper presupposes that the reason for the development of Guanyu's anthropolatry as a cultural phenomenon is derived from, along with Guanyu's loyalism and valor, the people's physiological effects longing for the emergence of a hero, and is closely linked with religious activities to provide the justification of their belief system. Based on this, the purpose of this paper is to study how major religions that is, Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism take the courses of Guanyu's anthropolatry to their religious advantage and how Guanyu-god is applied to roots in Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. In Buddhism, it succeeded in the settlement by upgrading it to jialan-shen that guarded the Buddhist temple, while in Taoism, it was used as a guardian of the san-jie-fu-mo-da-di that chased the almighty devil and deviated from the disaster and suffering. In Confucianism, it was connected to Guanyu's Confucian-commander image to that of chun-qiu-da-yi of kongzi. That is, by symbolizing Guanyu as God of Martial Power and War depending on the country, it was used as a means of governance to establish rules and order.

  • Sericin is a protein extracted from the cocoon and has many health benefits. This study was conducted to evaluate the anti-wrinkle and anti-inflammatory activity of sericin derived from cocoon as a cosmetic material. The antioxidant activity of sericin was measured by DPPH and ABTS assays. In addition, cell viability was confirmed in Raw 264.7 cells, which are macrophages, and the anti-inflammatory effect of sericin was investigated using the inflammatory response induced using lipopolysaccharide (LPS). It shows that sericin has antioxidant activity and can be an excellent material for anti-aging and anti-inflammatory cosmetics.

  • This paper describes an internal flow characteristics of a fuel pressurized blower, used for 1kW domestic fuel cell system. To analyze the flow field inside the diaphragm cavity, compressible unsteady numerical simulation is introduced. SST model with scalable wall function is employed to estimate the eddy viscosity. Moving mesh system is applied to the numerical analysis for describing the volume change of a diaphragm cavity in time. Throughout numerical simulation with the modeling of the inlet and outlet valves in a diaphragm cavity, unsteady nature of an internal flow is successfully analyzed. Force variations on the lower plate of a diaphragm cavity are evaluated in time. It is found that the driving force at the suction stage of a diaphragm cavity is more necessary than that at the discharging stage.

  • This paper describes internal flow of a fuel cell's blower, which is mainly used for detached house and apartment. Test blower is operated by a diaphragm, which has suction and discharge port on the top of the blower. For analyzing the internal flow of the blower, three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis is introduced in the present study. Hybrid grid system consisted of hexa hedral, tetra hedral and prism mesh is adopted to describe the complex geometry of the diaphragm blower. Throughout the numerical simulation, it is found that the present numerical modeling for analyzing the internal flow of the test blower is suitable for understanding the unsteady nature inside the cavity of the diaphragm. Detailed unsteady flow is analyzed using the results obtained by numerical simulation.

  • Buddhism and Buddhist art originated in India, but when they were introduced to different countries, they created an international environment. Buddhism was introduced as cultural package, with written texts, visual images, rituals, and the organization of monasteries. Buddhist art originated in India during the reign of King Asoka and then was developed under the political, intellectual, artistic, religious, social and natural environments of the regions. The stupa and the chaitya halls create monastic environment. The natural environment of the trade routes and caravans in the Central Asian deserts preserved brilliant-colored murals and helped spread tram India to China. When Buddhism and Buddhist art were introduced to China, Korea, and Japan, Buddhism became a part of government institution and social organization. Gigantic statues were carved in caves in mountains for political purposes. The Chinese transformed the stupa into a square pillar and created pagodas with tiled roofs in tower forms. Koreans not only transmitted the Buddhist art from China to Japan, but it also changed it with originality in the iconography of the pensive bodhisattva images and in the architecture of Seoggulam. The official ideology of Neo Confucian philosophy brought the rise of Chan Buddhism. Zen monasteries in Japan created unique environments by establishing the Zen Buddhist garden. to prompt believers to meditate. An important development in Buddhist art is the Esoteric Buddhist art in China and Tibet. This category belongs to the intellectual, religious as well as artistic environments. The Tibetan deities with consorts in their embrace symbolize the union of the god and the devotees. Buddhist art created a unique environment that was spread out to many nations and changed greatly over time.

  • Purpose: We aimed to investigate trunk angle and muscle activation of the extremity and back to evaluate the effect of chest compression on work-related musculoskeletal disorders in 119 emergency medical technicians (EMTs). Methods: Eighteen 119 EMTs performed 2-minute chest compression without interruption on a cardiopulmonary resuscitation manikin, during which we measured changes in the trunk and shoulder joint angles, muscle activation (triceps brachii, biceps brachii, erector spinae, gluteus maximus, pectoralis major, rectus abdominis, and rectus femoris) and chest compression accuracy. Results: The decrease in trunk angle by trunk muscle activation was the highest in event 2, the major direction of chest compression. Both shoulder joint angles had no significant difference. Muscle activation of the triceps brachii (p < .01), biceps brachii (p < .05), rectus abdominis (p < .05) and rectus femoris (p < .01) significantly increased during the compression phase compared with the decompression phase, with the rectus femoris showing an increase of 19%. Muscle activation of the erector spinae significantly increased in the decompression phase compared with the compression phase (p < .01). Conclusion: 119 EMTs mainly use the triceps brachii, biceps brachii and pectoralis major muscles during chest compression.
